(Y/n) was in her bed, reading.

Someone knocked on the door. (Y/n) looked at the door. ''Come in.''

Nya came in, followed by Lloyd.

''Got stuck on Lloyd Duty,'' Nya explained, closing the door.

The son of Garmadon huffed, crossing his arms.

''Well aren't you adorable.'' Said Remo, appearing on (Y/n)'s shoulder. His forked tongue darted in and out of his mouth, studying the boy before him.

Lloyd gasped, and hid behind Nya, looking at the little snake in fear.

Nya put a hand on Lloyd's back, and gently pushed him forward. ''Don't be scared, he's friendly.''

He gulped, hesitant. ''Don't trust a snake,'' Lloyd muttered.

''This is a snake you can trust.'' (Y/n) promised.

''Okay...'' Lloyd replied, slowly stepping forward. He reached out his hand, and Remo raised his head, silent.

Nya and (Y/n) watched. Then, Lloyd's hand made contact with Remo's head. Flinching a bit from the contact, he then began to slowly rub the snake's forehead.

Remo moved out of Lloyd's reach, before disappearing. There was a creak as the door opened, seemingly closing on its own.

''The mystery that is Remo...'' (Y/n) said, wondering where the little snake had got to.

Nya glanced at her wrist, a beeping coming from the device. She turned to leave but was stopped by Lloyd.

''Got something important?'' (Y/n) asked.

''Yeah,'' Nya replied. ''Gotta go pick up the boys.''

''I'm guessing it has something to do with this?'' Lloyd asked, pulling out a helmet from under (Y/n)'s bed.

Nya and (Y/n) froze.

''H-how?'' Nya asked, after a moment of silence.

''Remo found it in your room, he wanted me to hide it.'' (Y/n) answered guiltily. ''Sorry.'' She rubbed the back of her head, blushing in embarrassment.

''It's alright, but this needs to be kept a secret,'' Nya said with urgency in her voice. ''We can't have the boys find out their so-called enemy is a girl in disguise.''

''Got it.'' (Y/n) winked.

At the dinner table, Kai had been spat in the face by venomari venom, giving him weird hallucinations of reality. This became rather annoying, as Kai, being Kai in the hallucinatory venom state became detached from reality, or so they think.

''So then, just when we were gonna bite it, this huge-'' Jay started.

''Samurai. It was Samurai.'' Zane interrupted Jay.

''A Sama-what?'' Lloyd asked.

''Samurai. Highest level of warrior class. They would protect nobility and serve with honour on the battlefield.'' Wu answered.

''He was a hundred feet high, with weapons coming out every part of him,'' Kai explained. ''Look at Sensei's beard. It's moving like snakes.''The Fire ninja whispered to Cole.

''When is this Venomari spit supposed to wear off? It's starting to get annoying.'' Nya asked, and (Y/n) nodded.

Kai looked over at (Y/n). His eyes widened. ''There's orange fluffy snakes with whiteheads!''

The Fire Ninja then picked up gyoza and lifted it to eat it. It ended up on his cheek, slowly sliding down the side of his face. Zane, Lloyd and Jay watched, confused.

''Okay, don't let this mysterious Samurai cloud what's really important. All the Serpentine are out, and if Pythor can unite them, the legend states some Great Devourer is gonna consume the land and-'' Cole said, but was interrupted by Nya.

''Great Devourer?'' Nya asked.

''Whatever it is, it's a can of worms I don't wanna see open.'' The Earth Ninja admitted.

''Unh, it's all my fault. If I hadn't opened the first hatch, none of this would've happened.'' Lloyd said, guilty.

''We cannot change the past, but we can affect the future. At least we have the Sacred Flute in our possession, so-'' Wu told them.

''Yeah, ahem. About that...'' Jay said, tipping over his cup of water and letting it spill.

''Pythor sort of stole it,'' Zane answered.

''The last Sacred Flute gone?'' Wu asked. He sighed. ''You four are Ninjago's last hope.''

An alarm beeped as red lights flashed, alerting the ninja.

''Cold vision must have caught something. That means the Serpentine are near.'' Nya spoke, glancing around.

''Oh, no! Ninjago City?'' Cole asked.

The group headed to the control room, with Zane carrying (Y/n).

''How many are there?'' Jay asked, looking at the map of Ninjago. Zane put (Y/n) in a seat near the others so she could look at the map.

''Looks like all of them,'' Kai answered.

''Pythor must be trying to unite them,'' Zane said, glancing at the others.

''Go. We mustn't let the five tribes unite.'' Wu urged the ninja.

The boys ran out of the room, leaving Wu, Lloyd, Nya and (Y/n).

Jay picked up his prawn/shrimp, about to eat it, before it slipped out of his grasp.

''You know, whether it was in a lesson book or not, we used the destructive power of rumours to our advantage,'' Cole said, looking at the others.

''And now the Serpentine are further away than ever from getting their act together,'' Kai replied, looking determined.

''You know, I don't think we would've gotten out of there if it hadn't been for Zane,'' Jay said, smiling as he looked at Zane.

''Don't thank me. Thank Lloyd. If it hadn't been for his "laundry skills," we all would've been found.'' Zane replied. Everyone laughed, and Lloyd walked in with Zane's gi back to normal.

''Well, it took me twenty loads, but your suit's no longer pink. And to show that I'm sorry, Cole, I got you a can of nuts.'' He told Cole, holding out a can.

''Uh, haha, yeah. Don't think I don't see what this is. When I open this, a bunch of snakes are gonna pop out, right? Yeah, no thank you.'' Cole replied, walking over to the fridge. He opened it, and a tsunami of rubber snakes burst out from the fridge, covering him.

Everyone laughed before Cole joined in too.

(Y/n) was out on the deck, stretching her arms. She winced as pain shot up her legs, making her bite her lip.

Zane, about to go to bed, saw (Y/n) and walked over to her.

He sat down, looking at the sky. Each star continually winked back at him, filling his eyes with the shine of a thousand stars. Even if he wanted to, he could not count them, for they were many.

Like a black sheep in a flock of white sheep, a golden star twinkled, brighter than the rest. It seemed to wave back at him, and so he did so. (Y/n) looked at him, confusion in her (e/c) eyes.

''What are you doing?'' She asked, only just looking at him now. Her voice was soft as if she were that black sheep in the flock of white sheep.

''Waving at the stars,'' Zane answered, not turning his head. ''Is any star waving back at me?''

''You know,'' (Y/n) spoke, making the Ice Ninja look at her. ''I've always wished to reach the stars, be able to fly with the wings of a bird, to be...''

''Free?'' Zane asked. (Y/n) nodded.

She fiddled with her fingers, feeling her eyelids grow heavy. Zane noticed this, and stood up, holding out his hand. ''Do you want me to carry you to bed?'' He asked. (Y/n) nodded sleepily, her eyes beginning to close.

Zane bent down, bringing her into her arms gently. Making sure she was comfortable, he waited for sounds of discomfort. There were none, so he stood up, looking at the sleeping girl in his arms.

Slowly opening her door, he walked into her room and put her down gently on her bed, grabbing her blanket and pulling it over her. He tided the bed, making sure she was warm and comfortable.

Turning his back, he walked out of the room, turning his head to look at her sleeping form once more. Moonlight like molten silver spilt through the shutters of the window, making her look like an angel, minus the wings.

''Goodnight, (Y/n).'' Zane said softly, walking out of the room and quietly closing the door behind him.

And it's nighttime :P
