The door to (Y/n)'s room slowly creaked open, and a figure stood in the doorway, quickly and carefully closing the door behind themselves, and once again the room was dark.

Looking over at the girl who slept in the room, the person pulled their orange mask over their face, camouflaging themselves in the Master of Illusion's orange room.

A difference between the two was that (Y/n) wore a black leather jacket over her tournament robes, while the intruder did not.

Lighting their hand on fire, the flame lit their face, revealing Skylor, who quickly put it out. The carpet masked her footsteps as she went closer to (Y/n)'s bedside table, where her necklace was in a special box locked with a code.

A code Skylor knew.

The Master of Amber punched in the code and took the necklace, placing something that beeped and flashed red every thirty seconds. She then put it back, glancing over at (Y/n) who was facing Skylor, but her eyes were closed.

This was something that slipped past (Y/n)'s defences, or so Skylor thought.

The real necklace was under her bed.

Above the island, in a blimp, was the remaining Elemental Masters, as well as Garmadon.

''What are you looking at, Zippy?'' Jay asked the Master of Speed.

''The next one out of the Tournament.'' Griffin retorted.

''Uh, heh.'' The Lightning Ninja replied.

''Why so scared to show us your back, Shade? Worried we're gonna find a tattoo and know you're working for Chen?'' Kai asked the Master of Shadow.

''I hope this next fight is between you and me because I'm gonna put you on your back.'' Shade replied, pointing at the Master of Fire

Paleman wolf-whistled at Skylor, making her look uncomfortable.

''Do you mind?'' The Master of Amber asked.

''Tensions are high,'' Garmadon said, looking at Skylor before turning his gaze to the window.

''Yeah, not as high as we are now. Can hardly see the island from up here.'' Lloyd replied, doing the same.

(Y/n) looked at her necklace, then at Remo. ''So we're going to go through the plan again until you've remembered it, okay?'' She asked the silver snake, who nodded.

The Master of Illusion whispered under her breath the plan to Remo, who listened intently.

''I've had enough of this. I can't stand heights. Where's Chen?'' Neuro asked, his fear of heights starting to drive him crazy. He then opened the door to the control room, but there was no one in sight piloting the blimp. ''Ugh!''

Chen appeared on a screen. ''How do I know if this thing's on? Oh, oh, oh, I see, the light. Oh, oh, I'm on? Right now? Ahem, ahem. Hello, final nine. I see you are all eager for the tournament to commence so one of you can win my Staff of Elements. Instead of fighting for a Jadeblade, today you will be fighting for something different.'' The Noodle Man said, and showed a video of the Samurai Girl running.

''Nya.'' (Y/n) and Kai said at the same time.

''You know her?'' Skylor asked.

''It's my sister,'' Kai answered.

''Uh, she's my... friend.'' (Y/n) said, not really wanting to give any more information.

''We have an uninvited guest on the island.''

''And she must be holding the proof that will stop Chen.'' The Hair-Gelled Ninja told them.

''Find her and you will automatically move on...''

''The spell he plans to use when he takes our powers,'' Kai informed.

''...to the final round!''

''He wants us all to hunt her down?'' Jay asked. ''She won't stand a chance.''

''Then we have to find her before anyone else does,'' Lloyd replied.

''In ten seconds, the bottom will drop.'' Everyone gasped at this statement.

'''But to show you I'm not a bad man, I've given you nine parachutes.'' The parachutes dropped down, and everyone except for Garmadon rushed to grab a parachute. The floor began to open outwards underneath them, and (Y/n) accidentally did the splits while standing.

''Sensei Garmadon is there? Shoot, that makes ten. Oh, well, I was never good at math. Heh. Toodle-oo.'' Chen said, and the screen turned off.

(Y/n) mumbled something under her breath the others couldn't hear.

''That guy's love for trapdoors is seriously getting on my nerves!'' Lloyd said, holding onto a parachute.

Everyone screamed as the floor fully opened out, and they fell, towards the island.

''Lloyd, use your Energy Dragon!'' Jay screamed to the Green Ninja.

Lloyd grunted as he tried to, but couldn't. ''I can't! I can't get it to work!'' He replied, and Jay landed on Griffin's parachute.

''Get your own chute, Lead Foot,'' Griffin told the Lightning Ninja.

Jay saw a unused parachute coming to him, and he grabbed it. ''I got one! I got one! Hahaha!''

(Y/n) was in a laying down position, looking up at the others above her as she fell. ''This is fine.'' She then grabbed a parachute and pulled the cord, activating it.

''Your powers don't work because you aren't controlling your fear. Focus.'' Garmadon told his son, and Lloyd grabbed a parachute, only to discover Paleman holding onto it. The Master of Light then stole his parachute and pulled the cord. ''Control your fear. Don't let it control you. Centre yourself.''

Kai tried to get to a parachute that fell towards him but Neuro grabbed it and pulled the cord. ''Whoa!'' Seeing another one, he used his fire powers to fly towards it and grab it. ''There's only one parachute left.''

Lloyd and Garmadon grabbed the same parachute. ''We'll share.'' The Green Ninja told his father.

''They're only built for one. This is an easy decision.'' His father replied.

''You're right.'' The Green Ninja told him, opening the parachute for Garmadon and letting go.

''What have you done!?'' Garmadone asked.

''Control my fear,'' Lloyd told himself, summoning his dragon just as he hit the trees.

''Huh. He made it!'' Kai said, seeing the green bean's energy dragon fly above the trees to meet them.

''Haha! Of course, he did!'' Jay exclaimed.

''Thatta boy!'' Garmadon said, seeing his son on the dragon.

''This doesn't look good,'' Nya said, looking up to see the parachutes.

(Y/n) landed on the ground, and fished her real necklace out of her pocket, giving it to Remo. ''Slither as fast as you can, don't look back.'' The little snake nodded, taking the necklace and quickly disappearing.

''Hail, combatants, I have left a few treats to help you in the hunt,'' Chen told them over the speakers. ''I hope you use them wisely.''

(Y/n) stopped, seeing a hoverboard leaning against a tree. Her fingers itched to pick it up but she resisted the urge, turning her back on it.

'You know it has those trackers on it, right?' Morro asked.

'It's kinda part of the plan to get caught, but I want Chen to chase after me instead of Remo, so when my powers are taken from me Remo can give me back the real necklace so I can at least help.' (Y/n) replied.

Speaking of Remo, the little snake slithered through the jungle, trying to get as far away from (Y/n) as possible.

Hearing rustling, the little snake hid in a hole underneath a boulder. Clouse walked past, as well as Chen in the direction Remo came from.

The Master of Illusion looked at her fortune:

Trust your intuition. The universe is guiding your life.

Lloyd and Garmadon were still searching for Nya.

''You said before that Master Chen was your Sensei, but nothing else,'' Lloyd said, looking at his father.

''Son, there are things from my past that I am not proud of. Perhaps it's time for you to know the truth.'' Garmadon replied.

''After the Devourer bit me when I was a child, it took years for all of the evil to fully consume me.''

Clouse and Garmadon duelled each other with wooden swords.

''Good Garmadon. Good Clouse. But you're both holding back.'' A younger Chen asked as Garmadon pinned down Clouse. The position then switched, and Clouse was holding Garmadon down.

''Might I add he who wins this fight shall become my right hand and be granted lordship?'' Chen added, making the two stop and look at him. Clouse then kicked Garmadon into the training equipment.

The Noodle Man's Right-Hand Man used his Dark Magic on the training equipment, making it come to life and attack Garmadon. The turning into an evil lord dude countered with spinjitzu, destroying Clouse's magic-living training equipment.

''He cheated, Master. You told us Spinjitzu was forbidden.'' Clouse told Chen, pointing at Garmadon.

''He did what he had to do to win. Congratulations, Lord Garmadon.'' The young Noodle Man told Garmadon, who smirked.

''It was a time in our history when man and Serpentine were not getting along. As our sides clashed, we hoped for a truce. But not Chen.'' Garmadon told his son.

''Oh, peace is so boring, but conflict and turmoil is so unpredictable and exciting.'' Past Chen said, looking at a map.

''But, Master Chen, even the Anacondrai are making concessions. There could be a truce. There could be—'' Past Garmadon said, trying to reason with him.

''Never trust a snake, Lord Garmadon. Remember that.'' Chen told him. ''Oh, don't look so sad. I've intercepted something that will make you feel better.'' He then pulled out an envelope. ''A love letter. Apparently your pathetic brother feels the same about that girl you admire.''

''Misako,'' Garmadon replied.

Past Chen gave the envelope to him ''His words are so heartfelt. They could sway how she feels about one of you.'' Chen said slyly, and Garmadon took it, opening the envelope to read the letter.

''I didn't write this. I shouldn't be reading it.'' Garmadon replied, his eyes wide.

''Didn't you? It could be your name on it. Certainly you feel the same.'' Chen told him. Past Garmadon then signed it with his name, unaware that Clouse was watching them.

''Mum thought that letter was from you!'' Lloyd said.

''As I've told you, there are things in my past I'm not proud of, but I have no regrets. You wouldn't be here otherwise. My fear of losing Misako controlled me and led me down a dangerous path. A path I hope to one day make peace with.'' His father replied.

(Y/n) kept running through the jungle, hearing them behind her. She then used her powers to fly into a tree, crouching on the branch as she watched them look for her.

When one of them looked up, she jumped down from the branch and landed on Chen, who then fell down as she turned and ran away, with the rest of them in hot pursuit.

She then stopped, seeing the cultists surrounding her in a circle.

'Let's hope this plan works.' Morro told her.

''I'm sorry, your search ends here. Only one can remain.'' Clouse told her.

''Okay, fine, just take me already.'' (Y/n) replied sounding bored, and leaning against a tree.
