The skies were dark and stormy as the flying hunk of scrap metal that was called a ship drifted through the sky, while below the sea existed, filled with who knows what lurked beneath the surface.

(Y/n) stood near the rail, looking off into the distance. Behind her were the Smiths/Bread family (Soggy Toast, Burnt Toast, Bread and Burnt Toaster)

''So how do you know Acronix had a daughter?'' Kai questioned his parents, glancing at (Y/n) for a moment before returning his gaze to his mother's.

''He told us himself, as he didn't want any surprises for us,'' Maya answered.

''I know you two care about her,'' Ray/Tony Stark the Blacksmith told the two.

''I do, father,'' Nya sighed before continuing: ''I think of her more than just a close friend.''

Kai looked at his feet. ''I don't know. I was always on the side watching the others be close to her, while I had hardly any good moments with her. When I met Skylor, those problems seemed to disappear. But even then she seemed to pay attention more closely to Skylor than to me.''

''Well, go and tell her how you feel.'' His father urged. ''If she doesn't listen to you she's not worth it.''

''But she is.'' Burnt Toast mumbled.

''Destination Dead ahead,'' Machia called out, sighting the Boiling Sea. It began to feel warmer and humid, making (Y/n) uncomfortable. Looking down at the frothing water, she could notice columns of steam rising from fiery hotspots in the ocean.

''Excellent, Supreme Commander Machia. The final Time Blade will soon be ours.'' Krux replied.

''Unless this is all a Ninja trick to trap us in the middle of nowhere.'' Red Medusa accused, looking over at the Smiths/Bread Family.

''It had best not be. For his sake.'' Acronix spoke, looking at the Old Tea Obsessed Man. Lightning flashed and crackled, giving the atmosphere its tense feel.

''Ugh. We can't do this. We can't let Krux and Acronix force us into getting the last Time Blade for them.'' Kai/ Burnt Toast said to his sister, frustrated.

''Its reversal power is the only way to undo the effects of the Time Punch on Master Wu. What other choice do we have?'' Nya/ Soggy Toast asked him.

''Time is short and our friend's survival, your master's survival is at stake,'' Ray/Burnt Toaster told his son.

''Your father's right. Focus on the task at hand. Retrieving the Time Blade will be more dangerous than you can possibly imagine.'' Maya/Bread added.

''I don't get it. Why did you put the Time Blade way out here?'' Kai questioned, confused.

''It was so powerful that Wu knew it had to be hidden somewhere safe. So he asked us to seal it in the ancient Library of Hono Mizu.'' Ray told his kids.

''Hono-what now?'' Katara 2.0 echoed, looking a bit confused.

''Hono Mizu was once a thriving port town that was consumed by an undersea volcano that buried the city leagues below an impossibly harsh environment. A combination of Fire and Water. The Boiling Sea.'' Their father informed them.

The Lightning Ninja watched as another Vermillion Egg hatched in front of his eyes. ''Ew. No matter how many times you see it, watching those suckers hatch is gross.'' He said, grossed out.

''Jay! Less watching, more helping!'' Lloyd called out as the others ran up to the entrance to the tunnel.

Cole turned around and knocked over a Vermillion, causing a domino effect as it tumbled into a row of more Vermillion Warriors.

Vermillion Eggs fell and cracked open around them as they reached the entrance to the tunnel.

''You know guys, I was thinking now that we got Ninjago's workers out of here, maybe we should join them.'' Ginja thought aloud to the others.

''What about Master Wu and (Y/n)?'' Green Machine questioned.

''They're gone. It's a strategic retreat.'' Jay answered.

'"Strategic retreat" is just a fancy way of saying "giving up."'' Cole replied, casually tossing a Vermillion that had gotten on his back off.

''What do you think, Lloyd? You're the Master-in-Training here.'' Ginja looked at the Green Ninja.

''We need to regroup at the Temple. Zane, cover Ice.'' Lloyd ordered. Then Zane used his ice powers to create a protective dome of ice, which would buy them some time to escape.

''Tank squadron, report,'' Blunck commanded. The Vermillion loaded the launchers with boulders, before firing it at the nIce dome, creating a rather large crack in its surface.

''Holy ham sandwiches,'' Remo spoke, looking at the crack in the dome. Dave stood as still as a statue, while Morro took a step back.

''Quick! Before they get through!'' Lloyd urged, and the group turned to run through the tunnel

''One moment. I'm getting a signal.'' Zane replied, skidding to a stop. He then looked back the way they came.

The small weight on Remo's head disappeared, and the little snek looked to see Dave the Praying Mantis gone, making him look down at the ground in sadness.

''Oh, yeah? Does it sound anything like this: "Move your butt, Zane!"'' Jay exclaimed, looking at the nindroid.

''Cyrus Borg. I must retrieve him.'' Frosty the Ice Ninja replied, locating the inventor's outline.

''Wait. You're totally outnumbered.'' Cake Devourer told him.

''He's right. There's like, a million more Vermillion out there.'' Green Gremlin pointed out.

''There's no way you could possibly save him all by yourself. So I'm coming with you.'' Ginja said, running over to the nindroid's side. The others looked at him. ''What? We're Ninja. Saving people is, you know, what we do.''

''Yes we do,'' Lloyd replied, and the others joined the pair. The ice dome began to cave in, sending shards of ice falling to the ground.

''Take cover!''

When the ice dust settled, the Vermillion Commanders looked to see no ninja insight, with the Destiny's Shadow still in the tunnel.

''Where are they? Vermillion, check the tunnel.'' Raggmunk commanded, and two of the Piles of Snakes went off to search for the fruit-coloured ninja.

''Any sign of escape?'' Blunck questioned, and one turned to him, before pointing to the Destiny's Shadow, which had no passengers in it. ''Do you know what this means?''

''The Ninja have been eliminated,'' Raggmunk answered.

''Victory!'' The Commanders cheered, giving each other a high-five, laughing.

''Or they found another exit,'' Raggmunk suggested.

''Either way, they're gone. There's work to be done. All Vermillion stand down. Return to the Dome immediately.'' Blunck ordered, and the army began to walk to the dome.

''We are so getting a promotion,'' Raggmunk spoke, excited.

''Yeah right, a demotion is more likely,'' Morro muttered, poking his head out from behind the mossy rock to check if the coast was clear.

''Ha. What luck. They left.'' Jay said to the others, also poking his head out, with the rest following.

''Except all the Vermillion forces in this swamp are apparently headed to the same place we are: the Dome,'' Zane informed, looking in the direction of the Vermillion.

''I didn't say "What good luck."'' Ginja replied.

''So what do we do? We're in deep trouble the moment they spot us.'' Cole told the others, concerned.

''Then let's make sure they don't,'' Lloyd said, picking up a Vermillion Helmet that was on the ground next to him.

''Eh, gotta give whoever name it the Boiling Sea credit for accuracy,'' Kai said to the others.

''Kai, Nya, I am sorry. We never expected anyone ever to return. Least of all our children. But only the Masters of Fire and Water working together can traverse it.'' Burnt Toaster told his children.

''Your journey will be fraught with peril, traps, enormous obstacles, and Geoatomic Rock Monsters.'' Their mother warned them.

''And you will need the Dragon Blade. Allow me.'' Ray said, snatching the double-sided blade from Krux.

''What. What are you doing?'' Acronix asked.

''I knew it! This is a Ninja trick.'' Machia said, hopping down from her high chair to grab the blade from him, trying to tug it from his grip. She then ripped it out of his hands, while Ray fell onto his back. (Y/n) turned to look at Burnt Toaster with a neutral expression.

''It is the key to successfully getting you the Reversal Blade.'' Burnt Toaster told them, getting up.

''It's one weapon. We still have three Time Blades and (Y/n).'' Krux reasoned to his brother.

''I suppose escape is impossible, although I'd love for them to try.'' His fellow Seaweed-faced bro replied.

''Machia, release the sword.'' The Older Seaweed-Faced Boomer said to Red Medusa, who promptly threw it over to Kai, the Fire Ninja catching it in his outstretched hand.

''Now you must use it to create the Fusion Dragon,'' Ray informed his son.

''The what?'' Burnt Toast asked, confused.

''Only a Fusion Dragon can plunge the depths of the Boiling Sea and only the Dragon Blade can create one.'' Burnt Toaster told him.

''You will make the impossible possible, and unify the Elemental powers of Fire and Water.'' Maya/Bread added.

Kai threw the Dragon Blade into the air, and Nya summoned her water powers, pushing it up even further, while Porcupine did the same with his. The two elemental powers spiralled into the air, with the Dragon Blade in the middle.

The Dragon Blade then made contact with the two elements and a bright light came with it, and when it died down, a blue and red dragon with two heads appeared with a roar. ''The Fusion Dragon.''

''Now, when you reach the first obstacle, you must—''

''No time.'' Kai interrupted his father. ''Wu's wasting away. We'll just figure it out as we go.''

The Fire Ninja then jumped off the flying hunk of metal that was called a ship, landing on the Fusion Dragon's back.

''He can be a little hot-headed.'' Soggy Bread told her parents, before joining her brother.

''He gets that from his father. Remember, work together!'' Maya called to the siblings.

The dragon then flew up into the air and then began to dive down towards the waters, plunging into the deep in a wild dive.

The Fusion Dragon then stopped at a cave entrance, and the siblings grabbed onto the Dragon Blade together, desummoning the Fusion Dragon, and they swam through the hole. Then the siblings resurfaced in a cavern, though it was pitch black and they couldn't see a thing.

''Phew. I didn't know how much longer I could hold my breath. I can't see a thing.'' Nya told her brother in between gasps.

''The Master of Fire is on it,'' Kai spoke, lighting his fist aflame. ''Nice, huh?'' He then laughed. ''Sometimes I don't know what we'd do without me.'' Nya grabbed his arm as he almost fell off a cliff, and pulled him back onto stable ground.

Far down below was a lava marbled floor, with a small dot in the midst of it. The cavern roof was taller, the cliff being much below it. Kai and Nya stood on the cliff, looking down at the cavern floor.

''Who knew you could be this high up under the sea. That little dot down there must be the Lost Library of Hono Mizu. Any idea how to reach it without breaking our necks?'' Hair Gell Head questioned his sister.

''Well, we could ask our dad. Oh no, wait, you were too impatient for that. Hang on. I have an idea. We slide down this.'' Tall Glass O' Water told her brother, instantly finding a smooth rock slide with a few jagged rocks.

''What? We'd be torn to shreds.'' Kai replied.

''Which is where my power comes in,'' Nya said, summoning her powers to create a water slide. ''Sometimes I don't know what you'd do without me.''

Wearing Vermillion Armour, the ninja snuck into the dome. Remo was acting as one of the snakes in Morro's helmet, helping sell half the act.

''Well, that was easy,'' Cole told the others with a smile.

''Yeah, too easy,'' Jay replied, before being hit in the stomach with a small rock, knocking him to the ground. ''Ow!''

The ninja readied their battle stances, only to be met with Cyrus Borg, who was in his wheelchair waving around a curved pipe as a weapon.

''Unto the breach! Freedom!'' He cried out, knocking the ninja down.

''Stop! He's not a Vermillion.'' Zane told the others.

''I know a snake when I see one,'' Cyrus replied before Lloyd sat up and removed the helmet he was wearing. ''Ninja? You've come to rescue me!''

''Ugh, a decision I'm starting to regret,'' Ginja said, moving his helmet back after it had moved on his head.

''I think I have a headache,'' Morro spoke, blinking a few times.

''Now come on. Let's get you out of here before we're discovered.'' The Green Gremlin told Cyrus Borg.

''Hey, Borg, why exactly did Krux and Acronix kidnap you anyway?'' The Lightning Ninja inquired.

''Duh. Pay attention, Jay. We know why. They grabbed every builder in Ninjago to outfit their army.'' Cole pointed out.

''No, not me. I was forced to create something far more sinister.'' The Inventor said, before going over to some window shutters and a lever. He pulled it, to open the window shutters and reveal a towering machine, with wooden scaffolding built around it.

''Oh, heh, it's a...What is that thing?'' Jay asked, confused.

''I've heard them call it the Iron Doom. Krux and Acronix's ultimate weapon.'' Cyrus answered, closing the window shutters.

''And you designed it?'' Zane questioned.

''No, a blacksmith did. I'm afraid that I am responsible for that.'' The Inventor answered, once again opening the window shutters. He then pointed to the central apparatus, in where the Time Blades would go. ''It's a—''

''A nano-fused, neo-atomic power source, which, according to my calculations, creates an energy displacement sufficient to allow for—Oh, oh, dear, temporal voyage.'' Frosty the Ice Ninja informed the others.

"Temporal voyage?" Cake Devourer echoed, turning to Jay.

''Time travel. "Temporal" means "time." Duh. Pay attention, Cole.'' The Lightning Ninja told him.

''It harnesses the power of the Time Blades. If Krux and Acronix get all four, they will be able to take all these Vermillion Warriors anywhere in time.'' Cyrus informed the others.

---

''As deadly obstacles go, that was pretty fun. I'm starting to think Mum overstated the danger.'' Nya told her brother once they had reached the bottom.

''Heh. You know how mums can get.'' Kai told his sister.

''No, I never knew one, because...'' Tall Glass O' Water trailed off.

''Because ours got kidnapped when you were only three. Right. Sorry. My point was, mums like to worry about everything, but this is nothing. All that's left is a climb over some boulders and...''

The ''boulders'' began to move. The siblings turned around as three giant rock monsters with veins of lava on their rocky skin rose, towering over the pair.

''Hang on. Those aren't boulders. Those are...what did Mum call them?'' Burnt Toast asked Soggy Toast, looking up at them, while also backing up a bit.

''Geoatomic Rock Monsters!'' Nya exclaimed in alarm, backing away a bit as well.

''She understated the danger!'' Porcupine cried out. The siblings ran as one of them spat out a stream of lava, almost burning them in the process if they hadn't reacted in time.

(Y/n) was listening for the siblings, while also trying to train her Time power. Though it was a bit difficult, as it seemed to refuse her desire to have it be functional when she needed it.

Suddenly, she felt a stabbing pain in her chest, and the world seemed to dip in and out of focus.

The scenery around her seemed to change for a moment, to a dully coloured flat space. The skies were grey, and it was bare, except for shadowy figures that moved around without any sound.

In the distance (Y/n) thought she could see someone with short brown hair and grey eyes. Then, everything turned back to normal and the girl found herself back on the floating hunk of metal that was called a ship, on the floor.

A shadow fell on her, and she looked up, to see her dad. (Y/n) got up, turning away from him.

''You looked like you were in pain, are you alright?''

Vitamin C sighed in discontent. ''Yeah, I'm fine dad.'' The Orange Ninja then went to fiddle with her necklace, only to find it wasn't there.

(Y/n) growled, her hands glowing blue as she clenched them. Acronix's eye's widened as he saw something behind her head.

A small green praying mantis had been caught mid-air in a slow-mo bubble, trapping it. It then disappeared with a small pop. So did the time bubble.

(Y/n) turned around to face her father, raising an eyebrow when she saw him still wide-eyed.

''I'm sure it's nothing.''

Her dad thought otherwise.

''Krux and Acronix are gonna travel back in time in that thing? We gotta stop it! How do we stop it?'' Jay asked the inventor after he had finished explaining.

''During assembly, I programmed in a secret backdoor self-destruct code. But they watched me like a hawk as I built it, so I never got a chance to enter the code.'' Cyrus told the ninja.

''Then we'll just have to sneak down and type in the code ourselves,'' Lloyd replied.

''Sneak into Vermillion Warrior Central? Are you nuts, Lloyd?'' The Lightning Ninja questioned.

''You guys have a better plan? One that doesn't allow Krux and Acronix to time travel off to who-knows-when to do who-knows-what?'' The Green Gremlin asked the team.

''Uh...we do not.'' Cake Devourer answered awkwardly.

''We just need the code,'' Lloyd told Cyrus, turning to him.

''Ah yes, of course. It's, um... Oh, I don't remember.'' The inventor answered.

''What!?'' Cole exclaimed in surprise.

''I know it's a long sequence, so I committed it to the deep recesses of my brain. Er, perhaps if I see the panel it would jar the numbers to the front of my brain.'' Cyrus told them.

''Looks like you're coming with us,'' Morro spoke, and the ninja began moving with Borg.

''Going somewhere?'' Blunck spoke, making them stop and turn to face the commanders.

''He said "Going somewhere, egghead?"'' Raggmunk repeated, adding in a few words of his own.

''Oh, I didn't say the "egghead" part. But, but that's a nice touch.'' Blunck told him.

''Oh, yes. Um, I was hoping to inspect my apparatus on the factory floor.'' Cyrus said to the two awkwardly, going towards them.

''Why, exactly? To sabotage it?'' Raggmunk questioned, suspicious.

''On the contrary, to ensure it's properly installed. Imagine what Krux and Acronix will do to me, and you, if it doesn't work.'' The inventor replied.

''Uh, good point. We should let him inspect it.'' Blunck told his fellow eggheaded commander.

''I asked these gentlemen to escort me down, but they didn't respond,'' Cyrus told the pair.

''Of course not. You can't control the Hive Mind. Vermillion, take him to the Iron Doom.'' Blunck said, his eyes glowing red.

As the ninja walked past in their disguises, keeping their heads down in case their faces were recognised, there was one who spoke up.

''Aye-aye,'' Jay spoke, looking at them. Raggmunk promptly grabbed his arm.

''Did you just speak?'' Raggmunk the Eggheaded asked.

''No. Okay, that time I did.'' Ginja replied, and Raggmunk took his Vermillion helmet off.

''Vermillion, attack,'' Raggmunk ordered.

''Wait, wait, do you mean us Vermillion, or—''

''Seriously, Jay? We're Ninja. We're supposed to be stealthy.'' Cake Devourer said after the Lightning Ninja was knocked to the ground by a Buffmillion.

''Oh, I'm way past stealthy,'' Jay replied.

''Well, you're not stealthy enough.'' Morro retorted and glanced at the others.

''Ninja, go!'' The ninja cried out in unison, using their spinjitzu to discard the Vermillion Armour before fighting the Vermillion.

''Cornered again? You know, this gets old.'' Cole said as the Piles of Snakes backed them into a corner once again.

''Hang on. Do you hear that?'' Lloyd asked the others, as he could hear something.

''What?'' Ginja questioned, confused, before a blue vehicle slammed into the Vermillion, running them over.

The sliding hatch of the vehicle opened, and Samurai X poked their head out of the vehicle, looking at the ninja.

''Samurai X?'' Jay said, looking at them.

''I said "Attack."'' Raggmunk commanded.

''Go, go, go!'' Lloyd urged, and the ninja ran as they took the opportunity.

''Cyrus Borg. I am relieved you are safe. I have been looking for you.'' Pixal I er mean Samurai X told the inventor, grabbing the handles of the wheelchair.

''How did you find me?'' Cyrus asked.

''I was able to hack into Zane's scanner. He located you and I came.'' Samurai X answered, stopping as a Buffmillion towered over the two. Then, the Giant Pile of Snakes was coated in ice and fell over.

''Samurai X. You appear to always show up at just the right time.'' Zane greeted the mysterious figure.

''You can say I'm hard-wired that way, Nindroid. Now, let's get you home.'' Samurai X replied, pulling Cyrus into the vehicle and into a seat.

''No. We need him to disable the Iron Doom.'' Frosty the Ice Ninja told them.

''Challenge accepted.''

Samurai X's vehicle took off, headed to disable the Iron Doom.

''Sweet ride,'' Jay said in awe, watching it. Morro nodded in agreement as he followed the vehicle with his eyes.

The siblings ran between the Geotomic Rock Monsters as they spat lava at them.

The two stopped on a rock away from the towering mounds of molten rock. ''I'll take care of this. Go!'' Kai told his sister and used his fire on one of them, but it picked him up and threw him. Luckily, the Fire Ninja landed on his feet. ''So, apparently Geoatomic Rock Monsters are fireproof.''

Nya blasted water at one of them, though it was ineffective as she too was picked up. ''And waterproof. Put me down!'' She yelled, blasting more water at its face.

''You heard my sister. Put her down!'' Burnt Toast shouted, using his powers on the Geotomic Rock Monster at the same time his sister did, making it drop Soggy Toast.

''Kai. Fire and Water combined, the steam is cracking it.'' Nya told her brother, watching as steam hissed, flaring up in between the fissures. The Geotomic Rock Monster then exploded in a cloud of steam.

''Like the Dragon. We work together.'' Porcupine said to his sister. The two then stood back to back, using their powers on the two that remained. ''Switch.'' The two then swapped sides, defeating the last two.

The Geotomic Rock Monsters formed, though this time they were tiny Geotomic Rock Monsters, who squealed and fled. After that happened, the two went up to the door. ''Amazing. Gotta be Dad's handiwork.'' Kai said, looking at the blacksmith's stamp.

''I don't see a handle, how do we open something this big?'' Tall Glass O' Water questioned.

''By working together. Fire!''

''Water!''

Though that proved useless, as the door was still closed.

''Working together. Haha.'' Burnt Toast said, clicking his tongue as he walked up to the door. He then slammed into the door multiple times, but even that didn't work. ''Huh? Ugh. No. Ugh! We came so far. Ugh! We used our Fire and Water power together. We did everything right. Why would Dad build a door that doesn't open?'' Kai said, frustrated as he pounded the door.

Nya stared at the door as she cupped her chin with one hand, thinking. She then looked at the Dragon Blade on Kai's back.

Tall Glass of Water gasped as she realised. ''The Dragon Blade! Our parents said it's the key to our success and the key to retrieving the Time Blade. For once, take two seconds to think a problem through. I think it's the literal key.'' She told her brother.

''Dad's blacksmith stamp.'' Burnt Toast said, pointing to it.

Nya then lodged the Dragon Blade where it fit. ''Both of us,'' she told her brother, and he too grabbed the handle and moved it, opening the rather large door.

And there, on a stone pedestal, was the Reversal Blade.

The Fire Ninja gasped, seeing the orange-coloured Time Blade. ''The Reversal Blade. We did it.''

''Okay, but be careful. There may be one final—'' Soggy Toast warned, and Kai took the Time Blade, making the building start to collapse in on them. ''-trap. You think maybe we were supposed to do that together? Like everything else?'' She asked.

''We gotta bolt. Or do you want to stay and think the problem through?'' Porcupine questioned. Nya then went over to the door and took out the Dragon Blade.

''The Fusion Dragon.'' The Water Ninja said, and the siblings concentrated their powers on it, once again creating the two-headed dragon. They then hopped on and flew out of the collapsing cavern.

The Twins awaited the sibling's return.

''Where are they? What if they failed? Then what do we do?'' Acronix asked his brother.

''Wait, I can hear them, they're coming.'' (Y/n) spoke up, and right on cue, the Fusion Dragon appeared, flying over the floating hunk of metal that was called a ship.

''The children. They're safe.'' Maya said, relieved.

''But did they get the Time Blade?'' Ray questioned. Kai raised it into the air, showing it off.

Soggy Toast and Burnt Toast landed on the floating hunk of metal that was called a ship, the Fusion Dragon disappearing as they did so in a shower of sparks that quickly vanished.

''Master Wu. Are we too late?'' Kai questioned, running over to the old man with the Reversal Blade.

''Kai? Nya?'' Wu asked weakly.

''Yes. And we're gonna save you.'' The Fire Ninja told him, but before he could take another step, the Time Twins stepped into his way, blocking Wu.

''Actually, you're not,'' Krux replied, making (Y/n) frown as she walked over to them.

''What? You promised if we retrieved the Time Blade we could help him.'' Kai said in disbelief, his eyes narrowed.

''Yeah. About that, we lied.'' The Younger Seaweed-Faced Bro told him.

''Did you really think we would allow Wu to remain? After all the trouble he's caused us over the years?'' Krux asked the Hair-Gell Head. (Y/n) looked at the siblings filled with pity for them.

''You monsters!'' Kai roared in outrage, leaping into the air and using the Reversal Blade as a melee weapon, the blade meeting with Krux's Slow-Mo Blade.

Red Medusa leapt down from her high chair to fight Nya, only for the Water Ninja to kick her away. (Y/n) took her place, and for a moment the Water Ninja saw a flash of regret in the Orange Ninja's (e/c) eyes.

While the two girls fought, with (Y/n) going easy on the Water Ninja while also making it look like she was trying to defeat her enemy, Kai faced off with the Twins.

''The Blade is mine, boy,'' Krux told the Fire Ninja.

''Yeah? Well, here it comes. Ninja, go!'' Kai exclaimed as he did spinjitzu, headed for the Older Seaweed-Faced Bro.

''Spinjitzu? A fool's art.'' Krux said, knocking him away with the Slow-Mo blade.

The Older Seaweed-faced Boomer then charged at him, while the Fire Ninja glanced at the Blade in his hand and got an idea. ''Reversal.'' He then reversed time.

''Spinjitzu? A fool's art.''

''Not this time.'' Burnt Toast replied, appearing behind the older twin and hitting him in the back. [Dang, that would've caused some back problems for the old dude.]

''Slow down, kid,'' Krux said, firing the Slow-Mo Time Blade at the Fire Ninja, but he dodged, instead slowing down Red Medusa. (Y/n) had to hide a smile as she watched the Supreme Commander slow down.

''Oh, no!'' Machia said in slow motion, with Nya easily stepping out of her way and kicking Red Medusa once again.

''I'm coming, Master,'' Kai told the old dude, running towards him. His back was facing Acronix as he charged at the Fire Ninja with the Forward Time Blade. However, his dad pushed him so he would be hit with the Time Punch instead. ''Dad? Father!''

Before Kai could get close enough to his father, the Younger Seaweed-Faced bro knocked him to the ground.

''I'm-I'm all right. He just caught me off guard.'' Ray reassured the others.

''Get them!'' Kai shouted, and ran towards the twins.

''Stop!'' Acronix exclaimed, using the Pause Time Blade to freeze the Smiths/Bread Family and the Old Tea Obsessed Man.

''Excellent work, brother,'' Krux said and took the Reversal Blade from Kai's hand.

''Four completes the set. So now it's time to return to the swamp.''

''What about them?'' The Older Seaweed-Faced Bro asked, motioning towards the Smiths.

''Let's drop them off here. Supreme Commander Machia, make it so.'' Acronix ordered, and Red Medusa bowed in response.

''As you command,'' Machia replied, and the floating hunk of metal that was called a ship drove off, leaving the Smiths family and Wu floating directly above the Boiling Sea.

(Y/n) stood facing the front, while listening to what was behind her. 'What had happened earlier?' She asked herself, seemingly a million different questions buzzing around in her head unanswered like annoying bees.

As the Smiths and Wu unfroze from the effects of the Pause Time Blade, they began falling towards the Boiling Sea. Kai then threw the Dragon Blade into the air as they fell, and the two siblings summoned the Fusion Dragon and saved the others.

''Gotcha. It's not too late to save Master Wu. But we still need the Reversal Blade.'' Burnt Toast told his sister.

Back in the Dome, the ninja were still fighting the Vermillion.

''Any time, guys!'' Jay shouted to the inventor and Zane

''It's a thirteen-hundred-digit sequence. Something important...'' Cyrus said, trying to think.

''Thirteen hundred? That's the exact number of digits in the first line of code for—'' Zane replied.

'' —Programming a Nindroid.'' Samurai X cut in, and Frosty the Ice Ninja started to punch in the possible numbers for the password.

''Seriously, guys,'' Cole spoke after he had made two Buffmillion bump into each other. Lloyd, Jay and Morro joined him.

''3, 7, 9, 2, 5, 4, 6, 8, 9, 2, 1, 5, 6, 3...''

''Guys!'' Lloyd yelled.

''Just a few hundred more digits!'' Frosty the Ice Ninja shouted.

''What? Could this get any harder?'' Ginja asked as he fought the Vermillion with Cake Devourer.

''Oh, you didn't just ask that, did you? You just totally jinxed us.'' Cole replied, punching a Pile of Snakes away.

''Come on. That's not how life works.'' Jay told him. The two then looked up to see the floating hunk of metal that was called a ship descend into the dome. The two looked at each other. ''Not saying another word.''

''What is that Ninja doing with Borg?'' Krux asked his brother, looking down at Zane.

''I think they're trying to shut down the Iron Doom before it ever becomes operational.''

''We'll take care of him. Machia, proceed as planned.'' The Older Seaweed-Faced Bro ordered.

''Vermillion, to the Iron Doom. It's time to commence Operation Return and Repeat.'' Red Medusa commanded.

''Huh? Why'd they stop fighting?'' Lloyd asked the others as the Vermillion started to head towards the Iron Doom.

''What's going on?'' Cole questioned, confused.

''And so Operation Return and Repeat begins.'' Raggmunk the Eggheaded said to his fellow commander.

''Huh. Good name, too.'' Blunck replied.

''...8, 4, 7, 2, 1, and—'' Before Zane could finish, Acronix froze the trio trying to disable the Iron Doom.

''Zero. As in zero chance of success. Time is wasted. Come, brother and (Y/n).'' The Younger Seaweed-Faced Bro said, and the Time Twins inserted the Time Blades into the apparatus, then Acronix kicked the ones frozen in time off the scaffolding.

''No!'' Jay yelled, making the others look at him. ''Yeah, I talked. Come on.''

''Ninja, go!'' The ninja said in unison, using Airjitzu to catch the others who had fallen.

The Time Twins, Red Medusa and the Daughter of Time entered the Iron Doom. The scaffolding began to collapse, fully uncovering the metal machine with the Time Blades spinning at its centre.

The central apparatus glowed, and shot a beam of temporal energy into the sky, creating the Temporal Vortex.

''Just a few more moments, brother.''

''Soon, Ninjago will be ours. Nothing can stop us now.''

Krux glanced up at the sky, before spotting the Fusion Dragon headed towards them. ''Look!'' The Older Seaweed-Faced Bro said, pointing at it. ''Why did you have to say that?''

''If they get too close, (Y/n) can slow them down.''

''They're too far. The Dragon can't get enough speed.'' Kai told his sister.

''Good luck, kids.'' Bread spoke, holding onto Burnt Toaster.

''Mum. What are you doing?'' Soggy Toast questioned.

''Giving you both the speed you need,'' Maya answered, grabbing Ray and jumping off the dragon, landing safely.

''Okay, our mum? Totally awesome.'' Burnt Toast said to Nya with a smile on his face.

''I just hope we see her again,'' Nya replied.

''Control time...'' Krux started.

''...control everything.'' Acronix finished, glancing back at (Y/n). The Iron Doom then started floating, and went into the Temporal Vortex, with the Fusion Dragon following.

''Children,'' Maya said, looking up at where the Temporal Vortex was previously.

''Nya, (Y/n).'' Jay spoke, sounding afraid.

''Kai. Where did they go?'' Cake Devourer asked the others.

''More like when did they go?'' Green Gremlin questioned.

''I want to see my Ham Sandwich Buddy again...'' Remo groaned sadly. Morro gave him a reassuring pat on the head, looking up at the sky, sighing.
