Green Bean time

By the time the ninja had gotten to the pair's location, it was already night time, as they looked with the searchlight they had on the Destiny's Bounty. The ninja stood at the rails, peering down into the darkness.

The searchlight then landed on the nindroid, who was half-buried in dirt and sand. Lloyd and Nya then went down the ropes, looking at Zane.

''Zane! Zane, can you hear me?'' The Green Ninja questioned in concern as he ran over to the nindroid.

''What did they do to him?'' Nya asked.

''Say something, Zane. Can you hear us? Zane?'' Jay questioned, sounding desperate.

''Wait, where's (Y/n)?'' Cole inquired, glancing around to search for the Orange Ninja. The others looked at him, equally as concerned as he was.

Remo, in fact, was even more worried, as he sat at Emo Rapunzel's feet, peering into the murky darkness surrounding the ninja. ''What if they took her?'' He asked aloud.

''Cole, you get Zane on the gurney, and the others, spread out, we'll find her,'' Lloyd told the team and they went to do their jobs, searching the place for the girl, spread out like butter on toast (or bread).

A few minutes later and they still hadn't found the girl, not until the little snake cried out:

''I've found her!''

The ninja rushed over to where he was, taking in the sight of the injured girl, who looked like she had been forced through a thorn bush and back, with scratches scattered across her body, and one of her arms with a bandage wrapped around it.

The little ham sandwich devourer sat close to the girl, letting out a sigh of relief when he realised she was still alive, and gently nudged her arm to see if she would wake up.

''Is it just me or did (Y/n) get off easy?'' Jay asked, looking down at her.

''Jay, this really isn't the time.''

''You can see that she's been injured, but someone's fixed her wounds.'' Morro pointed out, gesturing to the bandage on her arm. ''And perhaps that same someone-''

Remo gasped, spotting something. ''Dave!'' He exclaimed happily as he saw the praying mantis. Dave stood still as the little snake slithered a bit closer and let him get on his head, swaying a bit as the little ham sandwich devourer moved his head.

''And what do you know, the return of the legendary Dave.'' The Lightning Ninja said as he looked down at Remo, who was singing a little song about Dave and ham sandwiches he made up himself.

Cole sighed, glancing at Kai who stared down at (Y/n), a hint of anger in his eyes. He then looked at the others, who seemed to look angry in their own ways, with Nya clenching her fists as she kept a straight face, (even though she wasn't straight herself lol).

And Jay, whose fists were sparking with electricity, a few hairs on his curly mop of hair sticking up, his nose scrunched up with its freckles as he stared at the girl with narrowed eyes.

The Earth Ninja could feel the earth shift beneath his feet, while bits of dirt formed on his hands, crumbling as it did so, and falling to the ground, joining its dirty brethren.

The air was so tense one would not be able to cut it with a mere butter knife, and Cole could almost feel the pure angst energy that radiated from the others, but in doing so, he suddenly imagined Morro in a batman outfit, mask and all.

When that random thought popped up in his mind, he kept his cool as he glanced over at Weather Boy, before refocusing his thoughts on (Y/n).

Cole then felt a few pairs of eyes on the group, and once again scanned their surroundings, his gaze landing on a trio of transparent figures, all seeming to be females who were also looking at the girl, each wearing their own colour-coded clothes, red, blue and lastly purple.

Anger. Sadness. Fear. And no one seemed to notice their presence except for him.

''Alright, let's bring her up.''

''He has extensive damage to all systems. His neural net and cognitive cores suffered severe failures.''

''Can you save him?'' Nya asked Pixal, concerned as she looked at the two resting on the operation tables, with the others surrounding them.

''I've diverted power to critical life functions, but Zane will have to do most of the work. He must reconfigure his system and reboot himself.'' Pixal answered.

''How about (Y/n)?'' Morro questioned, looking over at the girl, who was quiet as she slept. Remo sat near her, eating a ham sandwich while Dave sat on his head like a weird bug hat.

''She has a fractured rib and a possible concussion, (Y/n) will need plenty of rest to let it heal.''

The others talked for some time, before eventually leaving, with a few of the ninja looking back at her and then following the others.

The baby cried loudly as the others looked at it. Morro stood in the corner, thinking as he leaned against a wall, staring at the baby.

''Maybe he's thirsty. Give him some milk.'' Lloyd told the Earth Ninja, holding the baby and handing it over to Cole.

''I tried. He doesn't like milk.'' Cake Devourer answered, passing the baby to Kai, who looked confused on what to do as he took it.

''What else do babies drink?'' Jaybird asked the others.

''Don't ask me. Ask him.'' Burnt Toast replied, giving it to the Lightning Ninja.

''He's a baby! He hasn't learned how to talk yet.'' Cole said, looking frustrated.

''Oh! Maybe he needs a diaper change.'' Jay replied, returning the crying child to the Earth Ninja.

''Oh my gosh. Do we even have diapers?'' The Coal-Haired Earth Ninja asked the others.

''Why would we have diapers? We're Ninja!'' Lloyd questioned.

''Ooh! Maybe we can use one of our hoods instead.'' The Lightning Ninja spoke.

''Not my hood.'' Kai protested.

''We'll draw straws. Loser gives up their hood.'' The Green Bean replied.

''The spider's in the house. Sleep sleep. The spider bit the mouse. Sleep deep. Don't wake up or else you'll find a spider in your mouth.''

The others turned to Harumi, who was cradling the baby, slightly rocking it in her arms while she sang. Morro looked a bit creeped out, as he muttered ''what the hell'' under his breath.

''Wow. You're really good at that.'' Cole told her, a bit surprised after she had finished singing.

''Nah. He's just tired. Too much excitement. He'll go to sleep now.'' Simprumi replied with a sweet smile. She then placed the baby back in the cot and walked outside, with Lloyd trailing behind her.

Morro followed.

As the two talked, Weather Boy listened to the sound of the wind, closing his eyes for a moment, but when he opened them he could see Harumi leaning in close to Lloyd. Morro coughed, making the two break apart abruptly.

Lloyd then walked away, leaving Harumi with Morro.

''Don't even dare.'' Emo Rapunzel snarled a warning at the Jade Princess, ignoring her slightly confused look and went back inside.

(Y/n) opened her eyes, being met with the ceiling of the Destiny's Bounty in control/medical bay, and sat up, spotting a pair of purple eyes.

''(Y/n)!'' Remo exclaimed happily, relieved to see her okay. ''I was worried...'' He added, slithering onto her lap as the girl began to pat him.

The Orange Ninja smiled, picking him up and holding him close to her chest gently in a hug, while the little snake had the happiest grin on his face as he snuggled up to the girl, emitting puffs of air from his snakey nose.

(Y/n) winced as she felt a pain in her side, making Remo give her a quizzical look. The Master of Illusion and Time gently loosened her grip, letting the little snake get down from her arms.

''It hurts to breathe.'' (Y/n) realised as she drew breath, feeling her broken rib uncomfortably throb with pain, she laid back down on the operating table, sighing.

''Hello, (Y/n), I see you are awake.'' Pixal greeted, making the kitsune's ears move towards where the sound was coming from.

''So why didn't you say anything when I woke?'' The Orange Ninja asked, crossing her arms as she lay, staring up at the ceiling.

''I saw you were talking to Remo, I did not want to disturb the two of you.'' The nindroid lady answered.

There was a small ding! and (Y/n) looked to where it was coming from. Her phone, which seemed to have not been used for ages, had its screen lit up with a message.

She sat up and grabbed it, fumbling with it in her grasp before clutching it firmly in her hands before it could fall, and read the message.

(Y/n) tapped on the link, and what looked like a list of names popped up. At the top, it was titled, ''Big List of Baby Names.''

She had no idea if she was supposed to laugh or stare at it confused. Vitamin C then began to scroll through the list, noting some of the names, with some meme-related and some very interesting ones which totally had no relation to something important...

''Apollo, Acronix Jr, Bentley, Norris, Darude, Valkyrie...''

Eventually, when she had got to the end of the list, there was another message.

F.T: p.s I sent this to all of your ''friends'', I hope they enjoy it ;)

(Mother/name) was writing an autobiography of her life, the tip of the pen dragging across the paper in organised lines, she sighed.

She heard something shatter, and got up, walking to where she thought it was and was met with the sight of two picture frames on the floor, the glass spread around it sparkling like ice in the sunlight, she knelt down slowly and picked up one of them.

Her daughter's smiling face looked back at her, the jagged edges of the broken glass slightly obscuring her from view.

(M/n) carefully pried the photo out of the frame, and stared at it, memories of a lost child flooding back into her mind, but she tried to resist, pushing them back so the tears would never fall on the treasured photo, so she would not have to keep weeping for a child who she knew would never return to this world.

She then did the same for the other picture and felt her breath hitch in her throat as she looked at Amias' face, who was sitting with a group of five other kids he knew as close friends, though he was also holding a photo of his sister in it, which was one of the very few left.

(Father/name) walked in, spotting his wife on the floor, he quietly went over, and sat down next to her, pulling her close as she turned herself in his grip and faced him.

''I miss them,'' (M/n) admitted, already feeling hot tears threatening to spill. (F/n) put his hand on her back and began massaging her, calming her down as the woman silently mourned for their children.

''I do too.'' (F/n) told her, heaving a sigh.

If their kids were here they would've been overjoyed to see their kids, to finally squash them in a family hug and to tell them it was okay, to finally be happy.

There was a knock at the door, and (M/n) got up to answer it, and (F/n) followed, steadying his wife every now and then, they opened the door, to see an old aged woman dressed in a dark green sweater and trackie pants, grey Ugg boots, and light brown eyes.

''Hello, I'm here to talk to you about your children.'' Riské croaked, as the husband and wife looked at each other with wary but hopeful faces.

(Y/n) walked around the Destiny's Bounty, as she had been told by Pixal to do so, to help with her broken ribs, along with breathing deeply to avoid pneumonia, she was doing just fine.

She had returned Mr Cuddlywump to Jay all stitched up, and the Lightning Ninja had hugged her and promised he'd do something in return, though she wasn't sure what.

''Hey.'' The Orange Ninja turned as she heard the Green Bean's voice, and saw him walking towards her. ''How are you feeling?''

''I'm doing just fine.'' (Y/n) answered, feeling her hands get cold she rubbed them against each other to warm them up again. ''And you?''

''I'm good,'' Lloyd replied, looking away for a moment awkwardly before returning his gaze to the girl near him. He seemed kinda bored, as (Y/n) noticed him tapping his feet slightly.

''Anything new...?''

''Well, except for Harumi attempting to kiss me out of the blue-''

''What?'' The Orange Ninja said in disbelief, interrupting Lloyd accidentally, she paused for a moment to think before frowning. ''She tried to kiss you? And did you feel comfortable about it?''

Lloyd shook his head.

''No, probably because she's never been in love before, it's fine-''

''Lloyd, this is your first time too, don't forget that.'' (Y/n) reminded him. ''And to think I sang that lullaby to you once...''

''I'm no longer a kid, (Y/n)!'' The Green Bean replied, frustration seeping into his tone. ''Stop treating me like one.''

''I know that, Lloyd. But, when you're in love, you become all the more vulnerable, and I'm afraid a certain someone may use that to their advantage, as you are too ''blind'' to see the warning signs.''

Lloyd was silent, a frown on his face. (Y/n) then sighed, resting her hands at her sides as she thought of something.

Her eyes then brightened, and an illusionary lightbulb lit up above her head, poofing soon after. Without another word, she walked out of the room, as the Adrien-Lookalike boy began to wait.

(Y/n) then returned, her tails waving around excitedly, as she hid something behind her back, Lloyd became a little bit curious, trying to get a peek at what she had.

''Close your eyes and put your hands out.'' She instructed. Lloyd then did so and felt something drop onto his palms, he then opened his eyes and saw a whole bag of assorted sweets/candy/lollies, making his jaw drop slightly.

''Here's for being a good leader so far,'' (Y/n) said, wrapping her arms around him in a hug, and soon Lloyd hugged back, though a little more gently as not to hurt her, gripping the bag of packed sugar, though his cheeks were a different colour than of before. ''You deserve it, gremlin.''

As they pulled apart, one part of Lloyd told him to dump all that sugar in the trash, though he ignored it, ripping open the bag to get to the treasure inside and placing his hand in.

''I guess I'll go now?'' (Y/n) asked, as Remo appeared on her shoulders, Lloyd hesitantly nodded, murmuring thanks which the kitsune easily heard.

She then left, and the Adrien-Lookalike grabbed a piece of candy/sweet/lolly and threw it into the air, catching it in his mouth without any problems, making him smile.

The others gathered at control, with (Y/n) standing with the others instead of laying down on the operation table.

''There's been a development. I have been attempting to repair the damage to his system when I stumbled on something.'' Pixal told the gathered ninja.

''Tes neeb sah part eht.'' Mr E aka Corrupted Cinnamon Roll spoke on the recording.

''What's that?'' Lloyd asked, looking up at the screen.

''A digital communication between Mr E and the Quiet One. Zane intercepted and recorded the call in his last moments of consciousness. It was encrypted, but I managed to decipher the message.'' Pixal answered the blondie.

''Tes neeb sah part eht.'' The recording was then played backwards. ''The trap has been set.''

''Trap? What trap?'' Jay questioned.

''Huh. Classic bad guy stuff. It must be in their DNA.'' Kai answered, making Morro and (Y/n) look at him, slightly annoyed.

''A little bit offended here.'' (Y/n) said, crossing her arms as she glanced at Morro.

''But wait a minute. If Mr E sent a message, maybe we can locate the Quiet One's whereabouts. Pixal, can you triangulate the point of origin?'' Nya asked the nindroid woman.

''I've already started the trace program.'' Pix answered.

''That's good, Pix. How long will it take?'' Morro inquired.

''I don't know. The storm is interfering with my trace program. If we descended to a lower altitude, it might help.''

''The storm is hiding us. If we drop below the clouds, won't the Sons of Garmadon spot us?'' Harumi questioned.

''But, Harumi, have you thought that they might be expecting us to stay in the storm?'' (Y/n) asked, raising an eyebrow. ''Afterall, we do have you, the princess, some person who I think they're after? Oh, whatever, nevermind about that part- travelling with us, to perhaps the location of the last mask. They might think we'd be too scared to drop below the clouds, and tailor their plans to counter ours.''

''You do raise a good point, but, we can't take that risk, (Y/n), my life is in danger!'' Harumi argued, looking scared as Lloyd's expression copied hers.

''Rumi's right. We're in pretty bad shape at the moment. We have to stay in the storm. Can't risk Harumi getting hurt or being spotted.'' The Green Bean replied, making Vitamin C facepalm.

''So where do we go?'' Jay questioned.

''We go there!'' Cole answered, opening up the baby's blanket to reveal a map. He looked quite proud of himself too.

''What is it?'' Nya asked, a little bit confused.

''All this time it was with the baby. The map to the last Oni Mask.'' The Master of Mountains told her.

''Where's the baby?'' Morro questioned, sounding a bit concerned.

The ninja gathered in the dining room, sitting down at the table with Jay trying to stab at a meatball using a fork as it rolled around on the plate, while overhead the hanging light swayed back and forth as the flying ship moved slightly.

''I don't get it. Why was the baby wrapped in a map?'' Kai asked the others.

''I don't know. Maybe they didn't have any diapers either.'' Cole answered.

''This part here looks like it could be the central part of Ninjago,'' Harumi spoke as she pored over the details of the map.

''And the X. You think the third Oni Mask could be hidden there?'' Nya questioned, looking at the spot where the ''x'' was.

''Primeval's Eye. My mother used to tell me about this place. It's an uncharted vast wilderness of death. Her friend, an archaeologist, I think his name was Dr Yost, he had gone in to map the area. But he never returned.'' Lloyd answered.

''I don't want to say it, but it sounds like the perfect place to hide something you don't want anyone to find.'' Tall Glass O' Water replied.

Jay continued to try and stab the meatball with his fork, though it rolled out of the way every time. ''Haha. Come here, you little sucker!'' That was when he accidentally stabbed Kai's hand with the fork.

The Fire Ninja yelled in pain, as Cole covered the baby's eyes as not to scar the baby from such a vision.

The Floofhead gasped. ''Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to—''

''Don't! Just, don't.'' Kai interrupted, narrowing his eyes at the Lightning Rod.

(Y/n)'s ears flickered as they picked up on something, and stood up to leave the table but sat back down as she realised she was being a bit rude. Remo was about to do it for her when she stopped him as well by feeding him a ham sandwich.

''What are you feeding him?'' Nya asked, looking over at Cole who was holding the baby as he fed it tea.

''Tea.'' The Earth Ninja answered.

''Tea? You can't feed a baby tea!'' The Water Ninja told him.

''Why not? He likes it. He won't drink anything else.'' Cole said, feeding the baby some more tea.

''Ha! Gotcha! Who's laughing now, meatball?'' Jay questioned, holding up the fork with the meatball finally impaled on the end of it while Kai looked on with fear for the fork on his face.

Emo Rapunzel looked at him weirdly, before turning his gaze to the baby. ''Hey, Cole, can I hold hi- I mean hold it for a bit?''

''Uh, sure?'' Cole asked, a bit unsure but he gently handed the baby over to him, and the Master of Wind took the bundle in his arms.

Upon seeing his face, the baby smiled, making its baby noises as it looked up at Emo Rapunzel. Morro smiled back, but he seemed a bit distracted by something.

He sat on a rock, near the gates of the monastery, scoffing down food as the beast inside his chest growled for it, as he wore the only clothes he had when his hair was shorter and he was much younger than as of now.

The little boy then turned to a blond man for a moment, before returning his focus to the food on the plate which was nearly empty.

''Come inside please, I have more.'' The man spoke, beckoning the boy to come in. Morro looked at him again, though more suspiciously than before, as he had never really met this person. For all he knew, the man was a stranger.

But the beast that was his stomach, caged by the bones of his chest growled, and the boy warily got off the rock and quietly walked inside, tempted by the promise of more food.

The scene changed, and he found himself punching at the air as Wu held his forehead, keeping himself out of harm's way as the young boy trained hard.

Once again, the surroundings changed, and the little boy sat in a bed, confused as he looked at the blanket. There was a creak as the door slid open, and the blond man stepped in, with a candle holder in his hand, he looked at the future Master of Wind.

''You'll have a busy day tomorrow, so get some rest, little one.''

Morro yawned but said nothing as Wu moved closer to him and moved the little boy as he shifted the blanket to where it was covering him comfortably.

''Thanks, dad.''

Wu's eyes widened a bit, but his expression softened as he saw the boy start to sleep, and whispered a ''goodnight'' to him, leaving the room quietly.

Morro's mind refocused on the conversation, and he saw the others staring at him weirdly. He looked down and saw he was still holding the baby. He then stifled a snort as he thought of what to do next, just to spook Harumi.

He rolled his eyes back in his head as far as he could, making him look like he had purely white eyes, and began to speak in a voice that made it seem like he was possessed.

''I promise to keep this baby safe, as he did for me, and those who dare hurt it shall suffer the consequences, of pain, or of death, or perhaps both, whatever works as long as this baby remains safe until the period of civil unrest is over...''

The lights then went out, making Harumi scream momentarily but she stopped, looking over at the former ghost in the sort of darkness as his eyes rolled back into their normal place and glared at her.

''What happened to the lights?'' Kai asked, having fallen onto the floor and was on his back.

''I dunno.'' (Y/n) answered, sighing.

Lloyd looked up at the ceiling, before returning his now serious gaze to the team. ''Get to the bridge. Quick!'' He urged, and the team quickly got over there. ''Pixal, what's happening? Pixal! Come in!''

The Green Bean was met with silence.

''Must be a power failure,'' Kai suggested to the blondie.

''Or it's a trap,'' Jay replied.

''Freaking out isn't going to help us,'' Cole told the others.

''Jay might be right. The backup generators would have kicked in. This is something else.'' Nya said, looking concerned.

''Emergency. Emergency.'' Pixal spoke as the screen showed a warning sign.

''What happened, Pixal?'' Lloyd asked the nindroid woman.

''I'm detecting a foreign presence has been introduced into my system.''

''Foreign? What on Ninjago are you talking about?'' Morro questioned.

''It appears we are being tracked. I have lost control of the ship.''

''How did something get in?'' Jay inquired, looking at the screen confused. He then noticed sparks emitting from Zane.

''The trap. Something was planted on Zane. They wanted us to take him in.'' Kai answered, noticing a compartment in the nindroid wide open, with its wires slightly messy.

''Proximity alarm. Something is approaching the Bounty fast.''

''Onscreen,'' Nya spoke, and the image of Samurai X appeared on the screen.

''It is Samurai X.''

''Oh. He must be here to help us out.'' Cole said, assuming the best as he smiled.

''I'm afraid that is unlikely,'' Pixal replied, as the screen glitched a bit.

''Why?'' Lloyd asked.

''Because my system is overrun.''

''You're making no sense, Pixal... What are you talking about?'' Burnt Toast questioned, slamming his fist down on the operating table.

''This would be a good time to make a minor confession. I am Samurai X.''

''A minor confession?!'' Morro replied, sighing.

''I knew it.'' (Y/n) muttered.

The team began to talk amongst each other about the new revelation before something hit one of the ship's thrusters, temporarily destabilising the ship as the thruster caught on fire before it powered down with a puff of smoke.

''We probably needed that, right?'' Harumi asked, looking over at Lloyd.

Morro sighed, grabbing ahold of the wall and clutching onto it as the Destiny's Bounty wobbled.

''The mech is targeting the second aft thruster. Lloyd, if we lose the second—'' Nya said, looking over at the blond gremlin.

''I know, I know. We'll drop out of the sky like a brick. Nya, try to find the foreign agent. Jay, keep that lightning off our back. (Y/n), you stay here. The rest of us, get ready to fight.'' The Green Bean told the team.

''At least let me watch.'' The Orange Ninja replied, and he considered this for a moment, before nodding.

''Stay safe, I don't want you getting even more hurt,'' Lloyd said, and the team followed him out of the room as he left.

It was raining outside, making (Y/n) lower her kitsune ears to reduce the water getting in them, which was annoying when it happened, and unpleasant. Remo, however, seemed to enjoy the rain for once, poking out his forked tongue to see how many water droplets he could get on it.

''Everyone be on alert. That lightning is getting way too close for comfort. Jay, try to hold them off.'' Lloyd told the Lightning Rod.

Samurai X flew overhead, firing a few lasers onto the flying ship, one of which hit the side. ''There!'' Cole said, looking up at it.

''Can't see a thing in this storm,'' Lloyd told the others.

(Y/n) shook her head to lighten her ears, which had become a bit damp from the pouring rain. ''Hearing's a bit muffled.''

''Time to light this place up,'' Kai replied, summoning a fireball and firing it into the sky, temporarily lighting up the space above them.

''Rumi, stand back and take this.'' The Green Bean said, handing her a katana.

''But I don't know how to fight,'' Harumi admitted.

''But you wanna live, right?'' He asked. Simprumi then took it. ''There!'' He pointed at the mech, before running to the side and summoning a ball of glowing green energy, which he fired at the mech.

The Samurai X mech then landed on the Bounty, slightly tilting the flying ship down as its weight brought it down a bit. The mech then brought out a giant sword, and Lloyd glanced at one of the thrusters which were still functioning.

''Don't let her get the thruster!'' Lloyd yelled, and Jay moved forward but was quickly kicked aside by the mech. The rest of the ninja then fought the mech, but Harumi was swept into its clutches after saving Lloyd from a finishing blow.

(Y/n) leapt onto the mech's back, and attempted to find something that could stop the mech, but before she could do that, Samurai X grabbed her and threw her off it, and consequentially, the Destiny's Bounty.

Samurai X then jumped off the Destiny's Bounty, and soon Lloyd followed, as the Orange Ninja found Remo in her hands her eyes widened, though soon after she found the shapeshifting leaf, and shapeshifted into a bird with Remo secure in her talons, flying down and slightly tucking her wings in, though she could still feel the pain of her broken rib.

The others watched from the Destiny's Bounty, seeing the three falling (freefalling) through the stormy skies, before seeing Pixal/Samurai X shoot up, freed from her mech.

''You're supposed to be our friend!'' Jay said, and the remaining ninja charged at Samurai X/Pixal.

(Y/n) was then hit from behind by something, making her go in a different direction, and as she glanced back she could see Dave right there flying in the rain, making Remo cry out in dismay. The branches whipped the two as they fell down, and onto the ground, though there was a soft patch of grass where they fell.

''Drop your sword,'' Jay ordered Samurai X.

''I shall comply.'' Samurai X replied, and threw her sword towards the thruster.

''Throwing a sword isn't the same as dropping it!'' Morro shouted, attempting to use his wind to deflect it as it sailed through the air, but missed.

''Reboot complete. System online.''

The sword destroyed the thruster, making it emit flames and clouds of smoke, as the Destiny's Bounty destabilised once more, its crew wobbled on their feet as the flying ship began to spiral down.

''She got the last thruster,'' Jaybird said.

''Any ideas?'' Kai asked.

''Not a one,'' Zane answered.

''Yeah, me neither,'' Morro replied.

''Pray to Wohira!'' The Lightning Ninja yelled.

''That is not helpful!'' Nya told him.

''Perhaps if we can create enough drag with the sails, we may be able to achieve a controlled crash,'' Zane replied.

''What sails?'' Burnt Toast asked, looking up at the sails, which had giant holes in them.

Jay gasped in realisation. ''The rain! It could slow our fall!''

''It's worth a try,'' Nya said, before going to the front and began controlling the rain.

''Ha! It's working!''

''Brace for impact!''

Cole went to protect the baby as they landed, holding onto it tight as the others did as well, clutching onto something.

''Everyone okay?'' Jay asked after the Destiny's Bounty landed in the jungle.

''You okay too, little buddy?'' Cole asked the baby, holding it securely in his arms. It then cooed back at him softly.

''What about (Y/n)? And Lloyd and Harumi?'' Kai questioned the others, worried for the trio's safety.

''Er, you forgot Remo as well.'' Zane reminded him.

Back with (Y/n), she clutched the side of her chest, feeling her rib throb with pain. In the distance, she could hear the sound of hooves.

''You alright Remo?'' She asked the snake, who looked around at their surroundings, staying close to the girl.

''(Y/n)?!'' A voice called.

Sorry for the wait guys! I really hate procrastinating, especially when I have big (dreams) for this book (pun intended)

Also, I should get to sleep lol, tell me if there's anything in this chapter that didn't make sense, also, that ''angst'' part was probably me running low on brain cells
