After this meeting with Lavinia, the signs of calmness were evident in Vince's behavior, which was noticed by his colleagues and friends, his producer, and Luke.

Philip, at the first opportunity, visited him in Montreal. Advised him to give a brief Press conference that he would retire for a while until he regains his powers, after the collapse on stage, and what he had been through. He put him in a private hospital in Vancouver near his house for rehab. People reacted by losing their admiration but continued to recognize him as a remarkable artist.

Meanwhile, Lavinia's lectures as a social worker have skyrocketed her reputation. Her speeches were blown away and a lot of people from different places wanted to meet her. Get a lot of money and became a worldwide inspiration for several. The people who followed her in her appearances had the same secret desire in the heart. To see again. Everyone was talking about the blind girl who 'sees even though she doesn't see' and prayed that she would find her light again.

At that very time, Kevin encouraged her to venture an operation, at least the last one, to gain her vision. So did her siblings. She accepted it under pressure from everyone, but she didn't think anything would happen.

At the same time, the doctors were operating on her, Vince was giving his own battle at the hospital to detoxify himself from alcohol and drugs. What gave her the stimulus to accept this surgery was those two bright moments when she was with Vince; those faint shadows that allowed her to see the world for even a few seconds.

Vince, with Ray's help, intervened to perform her operation at the same private hospital in Vancouver, where he was also hospitalized. He had completely abandoned his distressing course of health and waited anxiously for Lavinia's results.

His doctors wouldn't let him interrupt his treatment so he could be near her in surgery. He was treated with life support and several serums. He asked Ray and Lavinia's siblings to be the first to know the results. And to be sure of that, he paid handsomely to an acquaintance so that he could watch the surgery and bring him the news immediately from her first reaction.

Betty and Patrick were asleep on her bedside until she woke up. In a few hours, the doctors would have removed her bandages. They warned her siblings about the possibility of her sight. To stood cool and calm and even if the moment she opened her eyes and she still can't see.

Several of her colleagues and ordinary people expressed their support, filling the entrance of the hospital with cards, wishes, and flowers. Everyone prayed for her to see again.

The intense scent of the roses her siblings brought into the chamber woke her while she shook her hands that had hidden in theirs. "Vinnie," Betty cried in agony, "Patrick," she whispered, waking him up.

Lavinia remained still with the gauze; she swallowed hard, while not talking until she saw the result. Betty ran, called the doctors.

Her surgeon rushed to the ward with his assistants, having a weird smile of optimism. Vince's guy was watching from around the corner. No one knew if Lavinia had found her light, even with a clue.

Patrick was standing in prayer. Betty never left her bedside for a second. The guy was anxiously awaiting the doctor's statement with the results. The hospital entrance was filled with reporters and cameras, everyone waited with a pen in their hand to learn about the sweet girl who defied her blindness as a child and became interested in the spiritual vision of the world.

They had already secured the doctors' first statements on Vince's route one floor below Lavinia. They were whispering each other that his condition was his choice, as were many other artists along the same path. In an instant, through fatal mistakes, he managed to drive away from the interest of the Press and the world, who stood numb and disappointed for another artist. However, they had left a correspondent outside his booth to record news of his health.
