"I'll try to follow what you say, Vince," she stuttered.

"No! That doesn't take effort. It's a double-edged sword. It wants a yes or no. There's no middle choice. And me, I'm one of those who failed to manage success. I lost myself, I found him again. I got confused again for a second. And now I'm collecting what's left. That's me," he explained.

"Nice. So I set a goal in the first place."

"What's that?"

"To conquer you."

"Why?"

"So I don't lose you after my success if it will come, Vince!" she answered him correctly by turning back the words he said to her.

He smiled sideways. "What if I reveal to you right now that I have nothing of my own? That regardless of reputation all my property is mortgaged in debt and I don't have much money? What will you do?"

"You'll still be a prime target, Vince. You, not your money and your glory," she admitted in a peaceful manner, showing that she is truly in love with him.

"But tonight I have no place to stay; I can't even afford to get something to eat. See, my brother bought us dinner," he insisted.

"It's ok. There's still a room left in my house for you to sleep in. And ... I work at the theater, I get relatively good money, I'll give you a plate of food and anything else you need. Of course, I don't have the luxury that you're used to, and my house isn't like yours. But you won't be on the road," she offered honestly and humbly, presenting in front of him what she had and had not.

Of course, he tested her for the first time in everything he told her. He stayed at her house and ate her food. Marianne really meant what she said to him, and it was her pleasure to serve him, with the ultimate aim of winning his heart, his love. It was a great opportunity for him, but he never filled the vacuum of Lavinia. He stayed with her long enough, thanks to those words she had advised him, that if he found a good woman, he wouldn't let her go. One morning, he left an envelope full of money and a note, leaving Marianne's house, without return.

You're a sweet and true person. And stay that way. But if I stay here, it'll be like being back on the stage set. And I'm not a good actor at all, so I can act against your kindness. So I return to the set of life, choosing to live alone, which has truth in it and does not weigh my conscience. Thank you for everything. And a piece of advice for the artists. Judge their work, but don't judge them through their work.

Vince

Lavinia had a second child with Kevin, a little girl. Vince from afar was sending his wishes. He always dreamed of a family like hers. But not with another woman, since it wasn't her.

For long periods of time, he stayed with his parents and took care of his nephews, who he acquired from his brother Philip. Offering to the poor, writing music, and advising drug addicts and alcoholics, he found himself, having gained the confidence of real life and not the one of false glory.

His last movement, before retiring from public appearances, was to grant two ranches just outside Vancouver to Lavinia's children.

He left his last breath at his home in Pacific, after a heart attack at fifty-three years, leaving behind a legacy the rich material of his music and the famous interview he had given to Nigel, guiding the young artists who began their career.

Many who followed his advice managed to combine success and personal life, without being dazzled by Glory and money no matter how high they came, to lose the most precious to a human being, love.
