This is for my reader yusssu . Happy Reading.

Zaid looked at the mirror where he could see the reflection of his wife who was busy in setting the coffee table with his breakfast. Yes, his not theirs! Because they were just ignoring each other. The morning sunlight strained through the curtains of their room and serenly danced on his wife's face, glowing her face which was looking mesmerizing as always with glasses.

Didn't know from where it all started but there was some pressure of work then he came home late and Shafaq didn't say anything at all, didn't question him over anything. She was behaving normally even talking more than usual and Zaid being in his sour mood stopped her. That too not very pleasantly.

"Be silent for sometime, Shafaq. Can't you see I'm tired. "

Yeah those were his exact words and now when he was going back to those words, they were leaving a bitter taste in his mouth. If somebody had said that to him, he would have smother him but Shafaq only sufficed on being silent, fully ignoring him. They were ignoring each other from yesterday evening and now he was feeling guilty.

Taking a long sigh, Zaid placed the tie back on the bed because he didn't know how to tie the knot. It was Shafaq who did it everytime, also advising him to learn it but he didn't think there would come a time when he would need it because he would always have Shafaq. If he didn't hurt her!

Shafaq had already gone when he was in his reverie. Zaid came to his breakfast; though all was his favorite, he didn't feel like eating at all. Rubbing his nose to move away the annoying feeling of emptiness and guilt, he picked up the glass of juice and gulped it in one go. That was enough.

Zaid exited his room to see his Papa and mother in the living room talking about something. Mummy smiled seeing him as he made his way towards them to bid his goodbye.

"Leaving earlier than usual?" Papa asked as his mother kissed his forehead.

"Yeah. Have some work to finish."

Zaid mumbled, glancing around the room to know the presence of his wife but there wasn't any. She was doing everything to be away from him. Last night Shafaq didn't even come to their room and slept in Daado's room. That thing he came to know in the midnight when Zaid opened Daado's room to see his wife sleeping at other side of the bed. He deserved it!

Maybe she was in her room this time too. Zaid would surely get beaten up by his grandmother because of the thing he did with Shafaq. Bidding his goodbye to his parents, he moved towards Daado's room to see her reading a book without any trace of Shafaq.

"Come in my son." Daado welcomed him which he wasn't expecting at any cost. He gave a small smile moving towards her bed. "Rest properly dear. Shafaq was telling me that you were working till late night that was why she came to sleep with me. With this habit you will spoil your health. "

Great! He would just crush down beneath the weight of his guilt. There was no need for Shafaq to lie to Daado. He would be at peace if his grandmother had scold him or chided him but here she was fussing over his health and all. Just great!

She looked at the car till it became faint from her eyes. Maybe Zaid didn't know, Shafaq was on the terrace. Waiting for him to come to his car to have one look of him because she hadn't been able to look at him from yesterday evening-the time when Zaid scolded her.

Shafaq was utter fool. There was no need for her to become so talkative all of a sudden that too without noticing that her husband was in turmoil, going through some problem. She would have just kept silent. But she hated Zaid's silence-she didn't like to see him all gloomy. So that's what Shafaq was trying to do, to make him talk.

Playing with the bead of her necklace, Shafaq moved downstairs. Her mind still stuck on yesterday. She didn't thought her marriage would show her something like this where she would feel this emptiness inside her heart. In these six months of their marriage, that thought never occurred to her. Shafaq wanted to come in the kitchen but did otherwise and came in their room, in reality she didn't want to face anyone because she wouldn't be able to control her tears and make everybody worried with her crying. Her tears would throw Zaid in question and he had to listen all the scolding when he was not even in mistake.

Opening the door of their room, the thing which caught her attention was the tie placed on the bed. Zaid didn't tie it! How could he when he didn't know how to. She picked up the tie, the silk of it gently skimming her fingers and slowly it tugged her heart with remorse. Picking up the towel from the bed, she began to clean her room. Every corner of the room was screaming of Zaid and she was just ignoring her thoughts!

"Are you alright Shafu?" Shafaq flinched on the voice of her Mumani, turning to see her who was looking at her with concern. What she did to give her indication of her sadness?

"Very good, Mumani." Shafaq smiled wide coming near her and holding her hands, "Why are you asking?"

"The maid was telling me that you didn't had breakfast and now you are in your room." Mumani caressed her head as she now genuinely smiled at her. This lady didn't ever made her feel that she was an orphan, she didn't ever feel an outsider in this house. Her heart always prayed for the members of this family because they were the only one in her life. "Did Zaid say something to you?"

Shafaq's eyes widened for a split second but she hid her shock behind a giggle, "No Mumani everything is fine. Why he would say something to me? He's just busy and I was about to do my breakfast. "

Her aunt eyed her sceptically while Shafaq fidgeted with her fingers, silently praying in her heart that she would just buy her lie. "Okay as you say. But if Zaid will do something, just twist his ear and come to me."

"Of course." Shafaq replied with a chuckle as Mumani patted her cheek before leaving their room. She tiredly sat down on the edge of the bed, looking at the fisted tie in her hand where she could see some wrinkles. She applied a little force and it began to show its effect on this silk tie.

Just like love. Love is also made up of silk, isn't it. Beautiful but fragile. Was their relationship getting wrinkled in their hands?

Zaid moved a tired hand in his already messed up hair. He couldn't concentrate on anything; whatever he was doing, wherever he was going, he was just feeling an emptiness and seeing that hurt eyes of Shafaq.

He closed the car door with a thud and halted in his steps seeing his parents exiting the main door.

"What happened son? So early?" His father asked him and Mummy looked at him with concern. Yeah he was three hours earlier than his usual time because of Shafaq, he couldn't focus on anything.

"Yeah. There was not much work so I came. Are you two going somewhere?" He lied smoothly and dodged the topic while asking about their activity.

"Yes. Your mother wanted to do some shopping, so I thought why not now. "

Zaid bid his goodbyes to his parents and felt his heart's increased speed when he entered in the house. How the hell would he face Shafaq? He hated this habit of himself, he did mistakes so easily and when the time came for asking for forgiveness, it became the most difficult task for him.

Daado was sleeping in her room so without disturbing her, Zaid went to his room only to see it empty and without any trace of his wife. Very well! Now where she was? He came all the way from the office just thinking about her and not getting her in front of his eyes, his mind got irritated with her mere absence.

Quickly shoving out his clothes from the cupboard, Zaid moved towards the washroom. Opening the door, he heard an oomph as a figure bumped to his chest. A wince sounded and he looked to see Shafaq rubbing her nose while taking a little step away from him. He thought that she would ask about his sudden presence in the house but she didn't. Without greeting him in her usual sweet voice, Shafaq just mumbled a sorry and moved outside not even looking at him, boiling his anger to no extent.

"What's your problem? Why are you ignoring me? "

Zaid padded back to his room and asked his wife in an irritated tone while throwing the clothes in his hands on the bed. Watch out your tongue man! He again did that, what was wrong with him. But how could Shafaq just ignore him. She should yell at him, scold him but that silent treatment was killing him.

Shafaq looked at him silently for some time then moved ahead towards the dresser, picking up the brush she again got busy as if she didn't even bother by him or by his words.

That time Zaid noticed her opened hair as her back was facing him and it was covered with some of her wet black hair as her front was covered by it too. His heart drummed giddily as he looked at her reflection in the mirror, her eyes without her glasses or kohl but still the same magnetism was present there which made him her slave. Her pink salwar kameez beautifully hugging her curves and Zaid knew it was only for him because Shafaq refrain wearing such types of dresses outside the house. No he couldn't be away from her! She was occupying his mind from yesterday like a drug.

Zaid came back from his reverie with a soft touch on his hand as Shafaq was looking at him with concern. Her thumb moving on the back of his hand in a gentle way as her eyes rested against his. "I'm...I'm sorry. I shouldn't have-"

Zaid cut her off with his lips pressing down on hers; her words dying on his lips as he felt Shafaq gingerly cupping his face in her hands, her thumb now caressing his cheekbone. Why the hell she was apologizing for? That was why this kiss was needed else he would surely die under the weight of guilt he was carrying from yesterday.

******

He dotted her lips with his tiny act of adoration, his lips moving to her cheek then down to her jaw, "I was preparing myself to apologize to you but... " She tried to speak some coherent words but maybe her husband had other plans as Zaid again made her silence with a kiss.

After a moment Zaid moved a little away from her but still caging her in his arms; his eyes were intent as his finger moved leisurely over the juncture where neck meets the shoulder, tingling her body with barely there sparks. "Do you want me to kill in guilt, my dear lady?" Shafaq looked at Zaid in question unable to understand his words.

"From yesterday evening, I am in guilt of throwing the work pressure on you with my anger and here you are apologizing. Use this... " Zaid flicked her forehead with his index finger, "Your husband is at mistake. "

Shafaq looked down with a small smile on his advise. So maybe they both were thinking the same thing but nobody was having enough guts to confront each other.

"But I was at mistake too... I should have understood that you're in bad mood and you need some time. " Shafaq said the thing which was running inside her mind for so long. A squeal escaped her lips as Zaid picked her up in his arms and took his seat on the bed while making her sit in his lap, his arms wounding around her waist keeping her closer to him.

"Are you an astrologer or a psychiatrist that you will guess how my mood is. Yes I needed time but there are many ways to say it properly. So I was wrong, sorry. Case closed. "

Shafaq nodded with a giggle, instantly coming to peace and those fears which were fogging her mind and heart, vanished far away. "Okay. I forgive you. Now you go and freshen up. I will get your lunch ready. "

"No. I am not letting you go. Besides you have already made me suffer a lot for one day. Today I will keep you only to myself. " Zaid pulled her near to him, his lips tracing the underside of her jaw, his words were enough to make her burn with shyness as she pushed his shoulders a little to move away from him.

"Are you out of your mind? What everyone will think? "

"Don't worry. They know husband and wife need some time alone. " He replied casually and fell down on the bed taking her with him. Their surrounding suddenly became light as the weight of the clash between them lifted off and it could be seen on Zaid, her light hearted and easygoing man was back.

"Mr. Zaid Murtuza, are you high on something? " Shafaq asked trying to suppress her laugh as she put her hair behind her ear which were coming on Zaid's face due to the position they were in.

"You." Zaid answered quickly and before she could deny his cheesy lines, he had again silenced her with a kiss. "I just love you girl. " Her husband's hoarse voice between his gestures of love, shackled her down in his love yet made her free and she just hid her face in the crook of his neck because Shafaq feared of getting melted in the heat of Zaid's eyes. She smiled giddily as her husband returned her embrace with his gentle hold.
