Keeping Promises

Not anyone really remembers that day the the of them stumbled across the camp border. It was like a blur, then Boom: tree.

Travis and Connor however, remembered one thing. They remember looking at each other grinning. Both thinking the same thing: Fresh blood.

They grinned wider when the girl got claimed to the Athena Cabin. They fistbumped the guy who became their brother. And then they set to work.

They got their hands on a tarantula.

And they placed it in the Athena Cabin.

On the new girls bunk.

Travis and Connor remember that day very clearly. Not because the prank got a good reaction. No they remember because they almost died that day. When Luke Castellan knocked them both down and nearly drowned them in the pond.

"Don't you ever Dare do that again!" He'd growled, "Don't you ever prank my little sister's cabin ever again! Do you Hear me? If one prank touches that cabin I will not hesitate to kill you both!"

The Stolls swore they'd never do it again.

And once they kept that promise. Not one prank ever touched that cabin again.

Even when it meant walking straight into Lou Ellen's sleeping curse, or sabotaging their brothers lame attempts to prank. Not one prank touches that cabin.

They weren't afraid of Luke. They got death that's all the time. They weren't scared of anyone. They did it for another reason.

Luke taught them something.

Family, Luke, you promised.

They learned to never break a promise.
