"This was supposed to be my world! And you ruined it!" I yelled. And I hated it. I tried to hurt her, to hide my feelings for her, but I think I tried too hard, and almost killed her. It hurt every second I went through. It was so painful. I never wanted to hurt her. But I loved Jesse. I don't think she loved me back.
"Listen to yourself, that's insane!" Jesse yelled.
I tried attacking her. But she dodged, and hit me back onto the Founder's throne. But I threw another blaze spawn egg. And ran outside, into the pouring rain.
"Get back here!" She called. But the blaze flew in front of her, and stopped her in her tracks. It tried attacking her, but she dodged them, and the blaze was covered by the rain, and died.
Jesse slowly approached me.
"Jesse." I said. "I- I don't want to do this."
"So, why are you?" She asked.
I was silent. I had no answer that needed to be said. "Well?"
"Jesse I- I-"
"Spit it out!"
"I love you, Jesse!"
I don't remember telling myself to say that. It just happened.
"What?" She lowered her sword. I was still silent, my cheeks burning, and probably boiling the rain. I looked at the ground. I pulled out the Flint and steel, and tossed it, still looking down.
She didn't move. What did I do? She probably hates me now! I just made the whole thing awkward.
"You love me?" She finally asked. I looked up, but quickly diverted my attention back to the ground. I didn't know what happened, then. For some reason, Jesse hugged me. I think my whole face was blushing. It felt painful, but I was relieved I didn't have to hurt her, anymore. Believe me, it hurt me way more.
I hugged Jesse, back. I never wanted the moment to end.
She let go, grabbed my hand, and pulled me through the destroyed island. The monsters were still attacking everything, but I didn't care. Jesse's hand was in mine.
"What do we do? The monsters are destroying everything!" Is a yelled.
Jesse thought for a minute. "We could jump for it."
"Are you crazy? The waterfalls will just take us into the void!" A man yelled.
"Yeah, well there's land down there!" Jesse pulled me to the waterfall. I was terrified. "Just follow my lead, OK?" And she jumped in. What was she doing?
Soon, other people jumped in, except for Maya and Gill. Ivor and Petra pushed them in.
"Jesse? What are you doing?" I asked.
"Can you trust me?"
Of course I could. If she could trust me, there was no reason why I couldn't trust her. I nodded.
Eventually we fell off the world. I was being an idiot and flailed my arms all over the place. Jesse was graceful. She looked up at me. I smiled. She rolled her eyes, and before I knew it, she kissed me. She kissed me! On my lips! I did not seeing it coming. Instead of falling, I felt like I was flying. I was kissing Jesse! Or, she was kissing me. But it turned onto kissing each other.
We landed in the water, along with other people that followed us.
"You weren't kidding. There's ground everywhere. " Reggie said, swimming to shore.
I pulled Jesse to the land, she smiled at me.
"Freeze, criminals!" Reggie yelled. He had his sword pointed at Maya and Gill. I was separated from Jesse, and had my hands in cuffs.
"I'm guessing you have some regrets." Jesse said.
"Yeah. Uh." I paused. "I'm sorry. So, very sorry. I don't think these people like me, very much."
"Just, try and do something nice for these guys."
"OK. Thank you, Jesse." I kept walking.
Jesse left, and I never saw her again. I didn't mind very much. I knew she wouldn't come back. I became a writer. My stories were mostly about her. I wish I could see her again. The Founder still hates me. But I don't blame her. I destroyed her city that took her years to finish. I still live in this world. I never bothered to try and get out. I live here now. I wish I knew where Jesse went, otherwise I would leave right now. But I can't. And I won't. I know she doesn't miss me, or even think about me. I don't even know if she remembers me. But I don't care. There's nothing I can do to change it. That doesn't mean I won't stop loving her.
