Best friends... we all need best friends at some point in our life. The one who are with us at the rough times to support us, the one who is there in our every happiness, the one whom we share our every news with first, the one who is beyond your family for you, the one with whom you share your thick and thins, the one whom your family loves more than you😂, the one whom you share your first kiss and date with. But sometimes it's beyond best friends for some people. Sometimes, your best friend is more than your friend and you don't realize it. Sometimes, your best friend just loves and cares for you beyond expectations. Is that fair? Is that right? Is that love? Let's find out in the story of two best friends SHIVAAY AND ANNIKA who explore their feelings for each other beyond just friendship...

'Shiv yaar this is not right.. How could you just leave like that. You know how bad Kabir and others felt. This is not the way yaar Shiv....'

So Annika and Shivaay were at a party, a get together one bcz now everyone are in their jobs and they hardly get time to meet and talk to each other. And Shivaay snuck out of an ongoing party making faces which was only noticed by his Best Friend Annika... she also came outside following him behind.

'Why did you specially take Kabir's name... you know I don't like that dumbass'

A: Language Shivaay.... and that was very rude to just walk out in the middle of a conversation.

S: So what did you expect me to do. Talk with that ugly Kabir. You know how irritating he was in college. I used to stay away frok him. Sometimes he just smells like rotten eggs...

Saying this Shivaay made an 'eww' face while Annika chuckled at his cute faces. She pulled his cheeks to which he frowned. She made him agree and they both were going inside when suddenly Kabir appeared in front of them.

K: Annika what are you doing here. Let's go inside.

A: Kabir I came here to talk to Shivaay.

K: Oh leave him Annika he just shows tantrums in everything. Such a cry baby he is just like his brother Rudra. Let's go leave him alone.

He was about to grab her hand to take her inside but before that Annika held his collars and glared him angrily to which Shivaay chuckled, seeing his Best Friend in her sherni avatar.

A: Ayyy how dare you speak such things about him. Suar ki aulad, what do you think of yourself that you are a king. We just came here for the sake of our other friends, not you ok. Huh dumbass, just fuck off and don't you ever dare to show me this ugly face of yours. Let's go Shivaay.

They both proceeded to exit the place while Kabir stood their with an open mouth and shocked face. 'What just happened'

This is who Shivaay and Annika are. They are Best Friends and can do anything for each other. Both know each other since kindergarten. That's insane right... Now both of them are working in the same company. They have never left the sides of each other no matter what. But is it going to be the same in FUTURE???

It was not the same before. Annika and Shivaay used to date earlier in high school for 2 years but then later backed off due to their studies and age. From then they are Best Friends. Shivaay though still has the same feelings for Annika and indirectly says it to her sometimes, but Annika never thought about Shivaay that way. Do her he was her everything, but not her boyfriend or soulmate. She was just insecure about their relationship in future, that what if they fall out of love or got separated. She surely doesn't want to loose her best friend taking this risk. But is there still feelings for Shivaay in Annika's heart??? Lest see what stor in future?

Shivaay and Annika came out laughing, imagining Kabir's face and Annika's language. They both were laughing when they reached near their car. They both leaned against the front of the car and smiled looking at each other. They stared and stared, until they got lost into each other's eyes. Their faces became serious when Shivaay pulled Annika to himself, making their chest hit each other's. Shivaay pushed a strand of Annika's hair behind her ear to which Annika looked down almost being in an awkward position.

S: You know Annika how it was in highschool when we used to date each other. Just you and me, all day. Together. I still didn't forget it Annika and never will. My feelings has never changed since. I still want to be with you, in your heart and mind, all day. Beside you staring at the stars on a beach side at nights or watching the sunset together sitting in each other's arms. I don't want to be like this for lifetime. I want commitment, I want someone to be beside me. And I want that someone to be you Annika. Only You. I want that old us when we were da ting each other. I want you beside me every day, every hour, every minute and every second of my life I'm breathing.

Shivaay spoke his heart and mind out to Annika who was just blank, not knowing how to respond. This was the first time Shivaay had directly confessed his feelings after high school. She stared into his eyes only to find respect, care and immense love for her. Shivaay scooted his face even more closer to hers to which she felt difficulty in breathing due to their proximity. She gained all her senses back and finally spoke.

A: I will always be beside you, as a Best Friend.

Hearing this Shivaay moved back and realized what she said. Annika also turned back realizing the situation. They both sat inside the car and drove off to their homes. IN COMPLETE SILENCE. No words, no feeling, to laughs, no goodbye hugs. Everything became awkward and silent.

A week later, in office.

Its been a week to that evening of confession. But Annika and Shivaay were the same. No awkwardness, maybe a little but they didn't show it. It's been a week since Annika realized her feelings for Shivaay and has been planning to say it all out and surprise him.

Flashback

It was two days since Annika was thinking about Shivaay's heartfelt confession and feelings. She saw a heart shaped pillow with her name carved in it and a watch which was gifted by Shivaay. She smiled and took the pillow and hugged it closer to her heart. She started thinking about all their moments closing her eyes. Shivaay's Love, his support and care, their cute fights and little romantic moments. A smile crept on her face. She opened her eyes and jumped on her place.

A: Yes I love him. I love him. I love my Shivaay.

Just then her phone rang, only to see her another best friend Ragini.

A: Rags... Rags I'm so happy . I finally realized it.

R: Realized what babe. That you forgot your manicure and pedicure right. I knew it. See.

A: No Rags I realized that I live that idiot of mine. I love Shivaay. I'm in love with my Best Friend, I love him.

R: Great babe. Finally you realized it. I do happy for you. Now go fast and tell your feelings to him and wear a proper one piece, off shoulder red dress with some nigh earrings. You will look bomb.

A: No not right now. I will wait for the proper time.

She blushed and then kept the call. She smiled to herself and then again hugged the pillow again laying on the bed, dreaming like a teenager.

Flashback ends.

Annika was walking when she suddenly bumped into Shivaay. She was about to fall when Shivaay caught her on right time. Eye lock. A deep one. Shivaay was the first one to realize to their position. He made Annika stand up properly.

S: You okay right.

A: Ya I'm okay. Vo Shivaay.... can we talk...

S: Ya say...

A: No not here, in your cabin please.

S: Okay lets go.

They both reached his cabin.

S: Now say.

A: Vo Shiv.....actually... I.....

S: Ya you what.....

A: Vo.... I.... last week you told me.....

She was about to complete when someone came and wrapped her hand around Shivaay's. Annika who saw the figure was shocked. She was Maya.... their colleague.

Shivaay turned to look at Maya and smiled at her who repriocated his smile. Maya gave Shivaay a cheek kiss, while Annika stood there confused about the happenings.

M: Shivaay baby good morning.

S: Good morning Maya.

M: Good morning Annika. Sorry did I disturb you both. I just became excited to see Shivaay. Baby you didn't call me last night.

Shivaay who saw Annika shocked replied.

S: I was going to tell you about us being in relationship. Actually 3 days back Maya proposed new and I couldn't refuse you see.

M: Awww to u care so much... you know Annika it's hard to be in a relationship with your friend, But I guess I got lucky. Well I gotta see some work.. I'll see you later. Bye both of you.

Maya went away from the cabin leaving a shocked and heartbroken Annika and Shivaay who has a stern face. Raagini who saw all this from outside felt bad for her friend who was bout to confess her feelings to her Love, her Best Friend but all went in drain. While Annika who was inside tried to control her tears from falling down. Shivaay to trying to decipher her emotions but couldn't. He didn't knew why. Annika who has a pen in her hand was constantly pushing the tip in her palm from stopping her from spilling her emotions out.

A: Sorry I gotta go. Bye....

Annika excused herself and took her bag from there and left, controlling her tears which were about to fall. She threw the pen she had in her hand in the dustbin angrily. While Shivaay who was in the cabin looked at her retreating figure.

Annika sat in her car and started driving her car with tears falling from her eyes continuously. She rubbed her tears away from her hand and started thinking about the office scene. She saw he hand which had some blood due to the pen stabbing.

Dekho toh pyaar ye le aaya hai kahaan
Reh kar ke door bhi tum rehte ho yahan

Annika entered her house, took a tub of chocolate ice cream and ran to her room. She threw her bag on the bed.

Kar lungi zindagi main tera saamna
Mujhko toh mill gaya chahat ka aasmaan
Iss dard ko beh jaane do barsaat mein
Ikk saans ban ke reh jaao na paas mein

She started eating the tub of ice cream, very quickly. After the ice cream got finished, she opened her drawers to get all the chocolates out and started munching on them hurriedly with tears running down her cheeks. Annika reared her head on the bed rest and wiped her tears, closing her eyes. Suddenly she felt the presence of someone and opened her eyes, only to see her brother Arnav.

A: Bhai you here.

Ar: What happened Anu, are you stressed or sad. These many chocolates and ice creams.

A: Yes bhai I'm fine, just a little headache and office work. I was just craving for some sweets. Nothing to worry.

Ar: Ok... take care... hmmm....

Annika smiled at her brother who leaves her room, closing the door.

A: When you said your feelings I didn't realize it, but now when I have I lost you.

2 days later.

Two days since the two Best Friends has a talk or had seen each other. Annika didn't attend the office, not wanting to face Shivaay while every time Shivaay was restless not able to see Annika. Maya who saw all this realized Shivaay's rela feeling and that he just agreed to her not wanting her to feel bad and break their friendship. She politely went to Shivaay and said she didn't wanted to be in the relationship. Sorted out. But what about Annika. She had been crying since two days, still thinking about the same thing. She was thinking when Arnav came to her room.

Ar: Annika come fast pap got a heart attack.

Annika along with Arnav and her mom took Annika's dad to the hospital. Annika who saw her dad going inside the O.R started crying when she felt a hand in her shoulder. She turned back to see Shivaay. Not wasting a second she hugged him tightly and started crying. Shivaay caressed her hairs. Ragini who was also present there saw all this and smiled to herself. Few minutes later Annika realized their position and quickly came out of the hug and ran outside the hospital, towards the exit. Ragini who saw Shivaay confused went near him.

R: She loves you Shivaay.

S: What.

R: She does. She finally realized it. That day in office she was going to tell you but then Maya cane and then your relationship and all and she went. You messed it up Shivaay.

S: Oh Shit. Annika....

Shivaay ran behind Annika was hope Ragini chuckled seeing the cute billu running. Shivaay who saw Annika standing near the entrance of the hospital went near her and stood back facing her.

S: You love me right Annika.

Annika tunes back in shock to see Shivaay standing there with a smile. Shivaay went near her and held her shoulders.

S: Ragini told me. You could have told me that day Annika.

A: What would I have said. You already said yes to Maya and I couldn't break her heart. And you go from here. We are just Best Friends. Not lovers.

S: Who said.

A: But you are committed to Naya. She will feel bad.

Shivaay explained her everything and Annika hugged him tightly.

S: Finally my billi understood her rela emotions.

A: I love you Shivaay....

S: I love you Annika....

A: Tum sirf mere rahoge, humesha. (You will always be mine)

S: Tum bhi sirf meri rahogi, humesha. (You will always be mine)

Finally the two Best Friends accepted their feelings towards each other. And became ONE FOREVER.
