Gajeel P.O.V

"Do you se-" Levys voice was cut off by the ground breaking and black vines binding her. "Levy!" I shouted. Lily flew as fast as he could, trying to take me to her. The ground rose and swallowed her before laying flat again. I shot my arm to the ground as an iron pillar and it broke free. I could barely see her blue hair being dragged deeper. Lily dropped me as I punched again breaking more ground lose.

As my arm entered the ground I could feel her slim arm and I grabbed it, pulling. I nearly got dragged under as the black vines pulled against me. Lily grabbed me around the waist, having transformed and we both pulled, breaking Levy free of the ground. The black vines tore free and disappeared as Levy gasped for air.

"Levy-san!" Wendy cried as Carla brought her to the ground. I laid Levy on the ground and sat beside her as Wendy checked her over. She had bruises around her neck, arms and legs and she was still having a hard time breathing. Wendy immediately began to heal her and I couldn't help but worry about the shrimp. The bruises slowly faded and they weren't as dark and nasty and her breathing eased.

"Thanks Wendy, Gajeel." she coughed. I ruffled her hair. "That's what I'm here for right?" I grinned and she rolled her eyes. I carefully lifted her onto my back once Wendy was done. "We shouldn't stick around here." I said and Wendy nodded. We walked through the woods, keeping an eye out for that dark guild. The only thing this was was the tomb, so I knew we would cross paths again. Several times we were nearly caught in traps they had laid for us.

"Let's rest here for the night."Wendy said as we came to a very small clearing. I set Levy on the ground before going off to find some wood. When I came back Wendy had set up the sleeping bags and had Levy go to sleep. She pulled matches from her bag as I set up the wood. She quickly lit it and sat back. "With that guild we should keep watch. Go ahead and sleep Gajeel." She smiled at me. "Carla and I can take first watch." "You sure?" She nodded.

I sat against a near by tree and closed my eyes. I must have been more tired than I thought because I quickly fell asleep.

Wendy P.O.V

It had gotten dark since Gajeel and Levy fell asleep. An hour ago Carla and Lily had fallen asleep too so I decided to read one of the books Levy lent me. The small natural noises in the forest made me jumpy and I kept looking over my shoulder. A particular sound had me inching closer to Gajeel. It was far away, so it was soft, but had we been close, it would have been even more terrifying. A roar sent small birds fluttering and chills up my spin.

It wasn't that of a dragon, but it was definatly just as big. I dug through Levys for the book about the One Wish. I flipped through to what was supposed to be in the tomb. It don't give a lot of description on the monsters but one. My breath was caught in my throat.

'Leviathan?' The island we were on was small and it said that the tomb was technically over the ocean. In the depths of the tomb where the ocean took over was the mighty leviathan. It was the guardian of the book and for it to work, one must earn it's favor.

"Wendy?" I nearly jumped out of my skin. I looked to Levy who had woke up. "How are you feeling?" she rubbed her eyes as she sat up. "Better thank you. What are you reading about? That's the book for One Wish right?" I nodded. "I was reading about the leviathan. It's says we have to earn it's favor." "For it to work. But our job is just to fetch and translate. We shouldn't have to worry about the leviathan. Hopefully it's just a myth and we can get in and out." I nodded and had to stifle a yawn. She smiled. "You get to sleep, I'll take next watch."

"Are you sure?" She nodded. "Positive" I nodded and carefully picked up Carla and crawled into my sleeping bag. I fell asleep to Levys quiet humming, and the leviathans distant roar.
