Maahishmati was in festive mood.Finally the throne got its rightful ruler and the King.The celebrations and joy of the people got doubled when the one owning that place was none other than the God of Maahishmati,their savior,Amarendra Baahubali.

The coronation took place this morning and since then happiness prevailed in the kingdom.Shivgami was relieved that she can take a breath out of her responsibilities as the one taking decisions regarding the kingdom is there.There are some decisions hard to be taken at times but they should be taken for the betterment of people around.

Shivgami was relaxing on her chamber with eyes full of content.She felt immense proud of her son and the moment played in front of her eyes when she announced him the King and made him wear the crown , crowd started rejoicing the next second.Soon she heard the announcement of "Maharani Devsana" entering her chamber.

Yes she was no longer a Princess or only the daughter in law.Queen of Mahishmati and she had no doubts how Devsena would be fulfilling her responsibilities as a Rajmaata in future.Things were less settled and she felt a burden lifted from her heart.

"Devsena.Come."

D-"Sorry Rajmata.For troubling you at this hour you must be resting."

Shivgami smiled at her daughter in law holding her hand and making her sit beside her on the bed.She was proud of her choice for her son and today her heart swelled with  a lot more pride.Not even a single guest from any kingdom could stop themselves from praising the elegance and poise beauty of this Kuntalam.Devsena looked drop dead gorgeous taking everyone's attention which was surely not liked by her "husband". Shivgami could feel his son getting possessive and had that look on his face when someone praised his wife's beauty.She was glad they were leading a happy married life and she can expect a new member soon and announce the next heir before she makes her journey to heaven.

"Devsena I can't express my happiness to anyone.How a mother feels only you would know when you yourself would experience that."

Devsena looked down surely getting that hue on her face and Shivgami adored her.

D-"Rajmata.I..I wanted to ask you for something"

Devsena felt the hold strengthened and she looked back at face of her mother in law.

"How many times do I have to tell you call me Ma/Amma.And  let me remind you, you are Maharani Devsena now wife of The King of Maahishmati.You dont need any permission for any case"

D-"hmm.But.actually I "

"what is it Devsena tell me.I am your mother only.Is there any problem?"

D-"I would like to make a visit to my home.I mean Kuntala, if you permit.Have been thinking for many days but something or other stopped me."

"So you think I will grant you the permission?"

Devsena's face fell down and she played with her hands.

"You are this replica of your husband.Baahu always plays with his hand like this when he has to ask me for something.Devsena, I am not the one who should grant you this permission.I would happily like to give you my consent but you do need one from your husband.Go and ask Baahu and I dont think he will say anything that would make his Queen unhappy."

She patted her head and soon Devsena retired from the chamber walking  with a lost face.

The moon was looking bright and she remembered how she have been missing out in the days sighting it.She has been busy with nothing yet a lot of things.Some thoughts invading her mind and then disturbing her soul.Devsena felt a lump on her throat and closed her eyes.A long deep breathe and felt the cool breeze touching her face.

"Talking with the moon.Or trying to settle down with your miseries."

She heard a meek voice and opened her eyes to see her new found mate approaching her with careful steps.

D-"Avantika.you should be careful.you could have called me.What was the need to come here at this hour."

She eyed the helper to give them some privacy and soon both got settled with Avantika taking support of her hand.

A-"I am used to this now Maharani Devsena.Love,care,affection and support was something I never got in life and don't think would ever get.I am better like this"

Devsena felt her heart going out for this soul who was busy gazing at the moon.She patted her head and then her bulging stomach.A faint smile came on her lips.

D-"God.I felt the kick.when did..you didn't tell me"

A-"Even I didn't knew.maybe failed to notice."

D-"Such a big thing and I would say don't play with word sif you want me to believe this lie of yours."

Both exchanged a rather naughty glint and smiled at each other.

A-"You are so good with getting exactness of one's emotions.No one can get a chance to lie at your face.Poor husband of yours must be having some real hard time."

Avantika could see the change in her expressions and this time she touched her hand with affection.Devsena took that with a smile and did not dare to meet her eyes.

A-"I know why you are upset and.the reaoson is justified.Don;t be angry with him it was Rajmata's decision which he or no one else could ever dare to change and question.You should be happy.Maahishmati got saved from evil clutches now that the mighty Baahubali is the protector"

Devsena looked at her baffled and in return got a sarcastic smile.

D-"You amaze me at times Avantika.This much loathe for your husband then why are you still with him and then this."

Avantika put a hand on her stomach and felt a life moving inside her.Her face showed no emotion yet one that of a mother.She had to bear everything for sake of her  child.

A-"A mother can never fail to protect her child.You will get to know that soon when you experience that feeling.Maharani"

D-"Devsena.call me that.Please."

A-"Go.He must be awaiting your presence such a big day for him and you should be ther eto share his happiness.Dont let the love and respect fade away like that.You are lucky."

D-"You are never going to give answers for my questions right?"

A-"You think I have the answers?Or you already know them.You can read my eyes and face well.Devsena.Love and hate are both deep emotions and.Never fail to judge them and differentiate between them and I have no doubts you are going to do same mistake which I.ah.Leave all this.Its late you should go.Dont make him wait."

D-"One day I will figure it out.and make sure I beat you in this game of words.Such a mystery you have been Avantika."

A-"That time would tell.and unfold.Maharani Devsena."

She let a smirk pass over her face and Devsena made her way to her chamber with a heavy heart.

She felt his hands on her bare tummy and he helped to get away with the heavy accessories.He hated them.Every time he felt this lazy that they come on his way acting as a barrier between him and his wife.Amarendra kissed his wife's head and let his chin rest on her shoulders savoring the moment.

A-"Devsena."

D-"Hmm."

A-"Tell me how do you feel.I still can't believe people are going to follow my orders and wait for me on that court room.Its weird.I never wanted to be this and.if it would not have been Maa's wish then.I was better off being a normal person.A son and a doting husband."

His lips grazed her soft cheeks and bit them.She shut her eyes and her hands took the support of the curtain of the window.They were standing near the window all this while.Getting no response from her he frowned and made her face him.He could see her eyes had a cold look.

He cupped her cheeks and kissed her forehead.

A-"what happened.you look down.I thought you would be happy with this and every ounce of you would reflect that happiness.Devsena??"

Devsena had a sarcastic smile and she made a distance from her husband taking off her ear rings.Amarendra didn't like that.Rather it didnt go well with him.

A-"May I know what kind of behavior is that.with your husband.What's wrong"

He again pulled her to him this time being a little aggressive.He had been impatient since morning right after the coronation ceremony to hold her in his arms and to kiss her.To savor this feeling together and rejoice the happiness.But he knew what must have troubled her and he was pissed off.Why that every time that person and matter related to him have to see this indifference in their relationship.He had a different point of view.

Devsena was silent.Her lashes were down and eyes stuck on the floor.She let her hair loose and could very well sense the tension that has been building up in her husband.

A-"you know staying like this and that blank face of yours annoys me.Devsena.Dont you think you should be happy for your husband even if for a second.and forget your misery ?"

Her eyes raised in hope that least he could get the turmoil inside her.They were moist and he closed his eyes shrugging away the thoughts.So he was right she was disturbed for that one reason and not happy for other hundred reasons.

A-"I thought you would be happy for me and.if we could take this moment to let everything be in peace for a while and.let it be.fair enough.you are bothered about unnecessary things like always"

Amarendra had a frown on his brows as he got busy changing his heavy attire.He was standing in bare body still waiting for some response from her.That silence conveyed him a lot of things that must be running in her mind.

D-"I.I need to ask you something"

A-"thank god at least this made you speak.What is it."

D-"I want to leave for Kuntala next morning.Spend few days there been long and I .miss my home."

Amarendra turned to look at his wife and gave an unbelievable look.

A-"Home?then what is this place for you?Shouldn't this be your HOME now."

Devsena fumbled with her words and put a strand of hair behind her ear.She was nervous and scared.This was not the reason for her visit and she was lying.He caught her off guard and wanted to hear it from herself.

D-"yes.I.I want to leave tomorrow itself.Its my wish.rajmata asked me to take your permission."

A-"NO."

She stared at him in disbelief as he walked to the bed and rested his strained body.Keeping his head on the pillow he looked at her still standing in same position.

D-"May I know the reason for this NO."

He did not cared to answer and she had her patience.After a while he felt her presence on the bed and flipped on the other side finding her in a sitting position.She sat with her toes curled up and her chin fixed on her knees.Her long hair covered the side face and she looked hell beautiful glowing in that moonlight.He had the urge to kiss her and make her feel he was there for her.She fails to understand him and his emotions.There are times when you cannot look at a single matter and let go of hundred of things around you.Amarendra was in such a state he knew what hurt his wife yet he could not do anything to heal her pain.

She felt him taking hold of her hand and he kept it near to his heart.Her cold hand touched his bare skin and he let the feeling in.

A-"Hear it out.what it says.You think my love and care for you is nothing.?In all these days we traveled this far in our journey as husband wife and you.don't even feel like sharing your heart out to your husband.Why.Devsena.Look at me."

D-"What do you want to hear.You know the answers yet.trying to act as if.My heart knows what state I have been and I have gone through.My love and devotion towards you it has also been a blessing in my life but.at the end of the day I am a human.Why can't I think for myself.for once."

A-"You have all the right.who stopped you"

D-"then why.am I not allowed to sit and cry.why are your eyes asking me the question answer for which you already know."

A-"You are not happy with one decision of Maa.Then what about the other.Tell me what matters more to you.your husband being the King or.Ex lover being the Commander in chief."

Devsena stared at him with shock and hurt visible in her eyes.She felt a stab right there on her heart and pearls made their way down her cheeks.She sobbed loud enough to get his eyes at her and he hated himself.

A-"You end up making me do that don;t you.I hate tears on your eyes and look what have you got me into."

He cupped her cheeks and touched her lips with his hard ones.He did not feel her responding yet continued kissing her and then made her down on her back without any protest from her side.He was making love to her and she stayed like a dead soul.Her hands were not even on him for once.

A-"You have to let it go.at most let this love for me in you.burn down the past please.I can't see you helpless every time you have to let your past harm your present.Let it go."

D-"I can never forgive him for what he did."

A-"Dont.Iam there for you and I promise.our love would make it easy for you."

His lips burnt her body and she could feel her nerves getting numb.Her hands kind of pushed him but he was stronger than her.He continued boring his eyes into hers still in that same position.

A-"He is no longer a part of my family and I am firm enough on my decision.You know that right?Dont judge me Devsena.My love and loyalty for you lies way more ahead of anything.I accepted Ma's decision as a King and being thoughtful enough for the betterment of safety of Maahishmati.Bhalla can be a failure in proving himself as a human being but we do need him.He can lead the army and soldiers and our force becomes stronger.Maa appointed him as "Senapati Adhyaksha" after giving it a thought.Trust her decision and dont judge her."

D-"I.need some time.Can't accept him around this place.I thought he was not allowed to be part of anything and.Huh blood relations are not easy to be forgone.I can understand that well."

A-"Devsena"

Her red eyes met his intense ones and she got up fixing her saree.He sat with eyes down and was not able to think of anything.

D-"Please allow me to leave tomorrow.I want to live in peace for few days.I feel.suffocated here."

He did not knew what state of mind he was in and was already tired and drained from past days event.She was making things too difficult for them.

A-"No.and thats clear enough"

D-"I want to go.You promised you would always keep my wish above anything.you are breaking your promise."

A-"Indeed doing that.even you are letting your past affect us arent you?I want to sleep now.Tomorrow is another big and important day you better catch some sleep.We have to leave for the special prayer ceremony also keep that on mind.We delayed it for long"

D-"I.I dont think we should be going now"

A-"sorry?"

D-"I am not read to be a mother now.at this stage."

He felt defeated by her actions and last set of words.Why was she doing this to them.He won't let her do that by any means.
