“It’s definitely not a typical July day where the scintillating sun makes you blind. The sky is covered in a whole shade of grey.. Looking out from my car, I can tell it's raining soon. Anytime the rain pours down, I think of John. He is not just a name, of course not someone who just walks through my life. He is something that has been haunting me since the day he disappeared. He is a vision I think I see clearly before it suddenly turns indiscernible in a blur. He used to be the reason I breathed, the breath I felt every night before I fell asleep and the only thing I woke up to in the morning. He is the only one who is taking a grip of my heart and never seems to let go, even when he is not physically here.”

Meet Lace, a gorgeous 25 year old woman. Her life was always easy as the single child of a family made of two most influential lawyers in the world. She was rich; she was stunning as the sun at its climax. She was a beauty queen, who captures thousands of craving young men’s hearts… until she met John, a homeless searching for sympathy from people passing by The Aromatic Coffee Shop, whose life was already a mistake from the start. Then they fell in love, not perfectly as a Hollywood movie coming to life, but indeed sweetly enough for people to look at them with admiration. Lace moved out of her parents’ house to live with John. She dropped out of college to work night shifts as a waitress at a local bar to pay the bills. Things were hard, but beautiful, like their love which was thought to be evanescent.

Then, unpredictably, John disappeared, without a clue. One year, two years, then five years went by but he was still nowhere in display. Lace didn’t want to believe in what people said that John was dead. She was deeply hurt she thought she would die. How was she supposed to live without John, who had become the only real and trustable thing in her world? She conceived she would never love anyone after John so she closed the gate to her soul and built up a barrier of thorns surrounding that bleeding heart of hers. Everything changed the day she met Louis, a jackass, a total jerk, who was the total opposite of John, who gave her that tingly feeling all over every time his hands touched her skin.

Would she once again trust her wounding heart, which nearly killed her for its wrong decision? Would she be brave enough to let go of the past and focus on the present?  Would she be ready to love again? More importantly, what would she do when she thought she was primed to forget John and move on with her life, he suddenly appeared in her life again?

This is what kept me awake for two nights in a row so I have to write it down or more sleepless nights will come. Nope, I don't expect that.

For those who keep wondering where have I been, well, still on Earth, but busier than ever. Try to be a Junior Law Student and you'll see. Freaking ridiculous assignments to hand it time. And when the final test time comes, I feel like I'm ready to explode. So, apparently, I don't have much time for my stories, which is terrible, seeing how I love writing. Anyhow, I'll try to keep posting some more chapters of Every pretty boy is an ass, a kind of on hold story I have here. I haven't updated it since forever. I'd totally understand if you tell me you forget all the main characters :(

*Acclamation*  Even though this story hasn't been fully written, the idea itself and all the words in this entry are COPYRIGHTED. So puh-leash don't think of stealing any of this or I'll have to reactivate the Intellectual Property knowledge I gained during my Sophomore year in law school. Trust me, you shouldn't mess around coz I kinda ace that aspect.
