"I think this is it..." Norman murmured, arriving at another air vent opening. Praying he was right, he pushed it open and exited the dark tunnels only to find himself on the apartment building rooftop. And it was night out. Sighing heavily, the guinea pig was about to go back and try again when he looked over at the shed in the corner. The one that Tiberius slept in.

He could hear whimpering.

His curiosity getting the better of him, Norman decided to investigate. Silently approaching the shed, he went right up to the door and peered inside. Though it was very dark, he could see Tiberius huddled near the back. By the sound of it, the whimpering was coming from the old red tailed hawk. Feeling bad for him, Norman bit his lip. Shaking his nerves away, the young guinea pig pushed the shed door open as he squeaked softly, "Tiberius?"

"Get out of my shed if you know what's good for you..." Tiberius snarled venomously, a low growl rumbling deep within his throat. The hood on his head, he blindly looked over at the door of his shed. Getting up to his feet, he continued growling as he advanced slowly towards where he thought Norman was. However, the guinea pig was no longer by the door. He was up on one of the branches. Reaching down, he grabbed the hood and tugged it off.

He discovered tears.

"What's wrong? Why are you crying?" Norman asked, shocked. Shaking his head and flinging the tears away, Tiberius hissed, "Get out!" As if to put emphasis on his words, he took a swing at the guinea pig. However, he missed as Norman climbed up onto another branch. Irritated, the red tailed hawk returned to the back of the shed, not caring whether or not the intruder left. He figured he could have a snack in the morning if the rodent stayed. Curling up into a tight ball, he was about to fall asleep when he felt someone lay down beside him.

It was Norman.
