Lance honestly thought that Pidge wanted him to drown, but she held a serious expression as if she was being pressured to make them do this. With a sigh, Lance looked at the large lake in front of him. It was vast and bright, but the deeper it got, the more void-like it became. Lance gathered as much air as possible and jumped in. Good thing he was an excellent swimmer. It didn't take him long to reach the bottom of the pond. When he arrived, two stone eyes peered back at him. A giant lion head statue was in the mud at the bottom of the pond, creepily facing upward. A circle around the head began to glow bright blue, covering the male in a bright light.

Lance freaked out and tried to escape, but his right leg got caught in the mouth of the statue. He turned around and tried to free it, but the water around his leg sped up, wrapping his leg in a unbreakable leash. No matter how hard Lance swam up, the water pulled him down further into the mouth. Lance couldn't hold his breath for much longer. Suddenly blue eyes looked up at him from inside the roaring statue. The light faded and he saw a blue female lion emerge and her claw attack his leg. At first, he felt nothing, but then pain erupted through his leg. The fast water flowed toward Lance's leg and thinned out as if it was entering his limb. Lance gasped in agony and confusion, loosing all the air. He once again scrambled up for the surface, but couldn't leave.

His vision of the surface got dark and his body relaxed.

Keith wanted to trust Katie, but she had just asked him to go into a cave on a volcano. Not just any volcano, the largest active volcano in Altea and the world. There are five caves on Magna Spawn. Which one did Katie even want him to enter? He looked at all the caves and stared in uncomfortableness. He decided to pick a random number then count the caves. He chose to pick his age number, eighteen. He began to count. "1... 2... 3... 4... 5...," he began to turn to the first cave again when he saw a sixth cave.

Confusion erupted all his senses as he headed towards it. Katie's words popped into his mind. She always addressed the caves by their names. He thought it was weird that she called it the cave. She must of known there was an unnamed sixth cave. He entered, wondering why she sent him here. He noticed carvings on the way in, decorating the walls of the mysterious hole. He looked at each.

They were bright and colorful, telling out a story Keith had never seen before. The carvings lit, looking like colored fire, and began to dance around him. The colors green, yellow, blue, and red fire figures danced, showing a story of lions. The red lion with a puffed chest pounced about accompanied by the slim blue, dancing to a song no one could hear. When they stopped, they leaned onto each other and went to where the big yellow lion was drinking water. The yellow looked up and joined the two, walking with the couple. They approached a large, broad black lion that gave off the aura of a leader. From behind the leader lion, a green approached him, butting his body with her own.

He watched as the scenes and colors got dark. The lions were approached by two humans, one small and one big, both cloaked. The big one ushered the lions to him and his companion. The leader skeptically approached to deem the safety level. When the human only showed kindness, he allowed the others near it. Keith watched as the animated fire lions' story continued on with the two humans. The big one ended up being a man with white hair, while the small was his wife, also with white hair. The two were king Alfor and his wife, Allura's parents. Suddenly, Allura's mother fell ill and went missing. Alfor went into disarray trying to find her. In desperate need, Alfor turned to the lions' ability.

The lions agreed to help, but didn't know what they had signed themselves up for. Alfor had sent them to his brother's wife, so she could run some test on them. In the experiments, the lions suffered, but stayed true to their words. In one, the green lion died since she was physically the weakest. The black grieved the lost, turning against his words and the humans. In all-out rage he attacked Manerva, the person experimenting on them, and set his friends free. They tried to escape the dungeon, where the experiments were taking place, but Alfor and his brother stopped them. Zarkon ran to his pregnant wife and in rage, told his brother to kill the psychotic lions. Alfor had no choice but to follow through.

Keith reached out as the fires that were shaping the lions went out one by one, starting with the black. What had Katie wanted him to do here? Did she know he'd find the story? The red lion reappeared and ran off further in the cave. Was there more to the story?

In wonder, Keith followed the fire. When it stopped, it was on a stone lion head. Keith noticed that it resembled the red lion that lead him here. A growl came out of the darkness that the little fire lion couldn't light. Keith shot a look at the direction. The lion from the fire story came out of the shadows, real, like a fairy tale coming to life. Keith hadn't known what to do as it jumped at him, so he backed up, accidentally placing his right hand on the stone head. The little fire lion climbed onto his arm and melted. It wrapped around arm, blaring bright.

Strangely it didn't hurt. The only thing that did come in a painful burst, was when the lion scratched his arm.

I honesty wrote the lion's story as I went. It came out longer then attended... Oh well! Hehe!
