"Katherine?"

I turned around to see Mr. Renner standing near the door with a confused look in his eyes. Chris' arms were wrapped around me, I pushed him away quickly but he already seen us like that.

"Come with me." Said Mr. Renner to me, not breaking eye contact with Chris. I walked towards him, my eyes were on the floor. I was way too embarrassed to look at Mr. Renner in the face. I followed him to the teachers room. He got in and closed the door behind us.

"What was that?" He bursted. The tone of his voice was not angry but disappointed.

"What ?" Was all I could manage to say. I really didn't know how to explain this to him. I didn't even knew what we were.

"Look, you either explain it or I'm going to have to assume what it is." He said in a sharp tone, I wanted to disappear. I've never felt this embarrassed.

"It's nothing." I said. He raised his eyebrow, questioning me.

"Are you two in a rela-"

"No. God no. I was feeling really bad so he just hugged me to make me feel better." I said. I really hate lying but I can't tell him the truth. Not now. He sighed, not with relief. He put his hand on my shoulder and looked me in the eye.

"I trust you." He said. I hate myself right now. I nod and leaved before I spilled out the truth. I looked around to see if Chris was there, the halls were empty. I got my backpack and walked outside the school. I skipped the math class. I didn't felt like seeing Mr. Renner for an extra 40 minutes.

|Chris' P.O.V|

I'm dying to know what he's telling her. I know Katherine won't tell but I still have this bad feeling. I see Katherine leaving the classroom, she looks around, probably for me. I was sitting in a classroom watching her from distant. She didn't looked around for that long. I went to the teachers room to pick up my stuff. Jeremy was still in there, arranging some files. I wanted to ask him what he told her but I don't want to bring it up so I kept my mouth shut.

"Look, I'm not going to repeat myself. If I see you around her like that again, you'll be suspended and probably get fired afterwards." Jeremy said not even bothering to look at me. Who does he think he is?

"There is nothing to be worried about. I was being supportive." I said calmly.

"Who do you think you're fooling? Do I look like a child to you?" He said slamming his files on his desk. He's pushing my nerves. I took a deep breath.

"You have no proof. There isn't anything between us. She's just my student." I told him. The last word came out a little shaky.

"We'll see about that." He said and walked to his classroom.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Said Hayley walking into the teachers room. I can't deal with her right now.

"I don't feel like talking." I said. She sat next to me and played with my hair. I moved her hand.

"Hayley, we had a deal and it's over now let's not push it. Okay?" I snapped at her.

"It was more than a deal." She said seductively.  My phone ringed. Yess lifesaver
I looked at the screen, it was unknown meh I picked it up anyways.

"Speaking."

"Uh hello we know your secret uh what? Okay. Come to the, what was the name? Rudden what? Pho- oh sorry no names right. Come to the Ruddensburgh park in 15 minutes. If you don't... What will we do? I can't hear you.. Oh right yes,  we'll tell your secret. Yes. Right. Kay bye." Said the person and hung up. I couldn't tell who was it since they used a voice changer app. Well I was going to kill some time anyways. I went there. The park was dead empty. I couldn't see anyone. I sat on a bench and waited there.

"You made a wise choice." Said a boy I'm assuming. There were 2 of them and they were wearing a ridiculous mask. And they talked in a very deep voice.

"Am I being catfished?" I said laughing.

"We ain't playin no games." Said the other one which I'm assuming is a girl. She sounded familiar.

"You should've changed your voice dumbass." Said the boy.

"Tom thi-"

"NO NAMESS!!" Said the boy one. Wait a second.

"Tom as in Tom Cabrera?" I said smiling. The girl laughed and he sighed.

"We couldn't make it until 4 minutes." Said Tom taking off his mask.

"Still better than I thought." Said Phoebe. I recognized her she's not taking my classes but I always saw her and Kat together.

"What is all this?" I asked them trying not to laugh.

"We have questions." Said Phoebe.

"Okay?" I said.

"Why are you being a douchebag?" Said Tom. What is this supposed to mean?

"We know you and Kat. It's fine with us we won't tell anyone but the thing is why are you messing up with her? If you liked Ms. Atwell why aren't you dating her? Are you using Kat?" Said Phoebe.

"I know you're concerned but this is none of your business."

"Of course it is. Tell us the truth and we'll talk with Katherine." Phoebe said.

"I'll talk with her." I told them.

"Dude, I highly doubt she'll talk or forgive you after what you did. If you want to fix this you have to convince us. We'll talk with her. She'll listen to us." Tom said.

"If you really need to know, Hayley and I had a deal. A few months ago I was invited to my cousins wedding. My grandmother really wants to see me with someone she always asks me when will I get married. I couldn't go alone, she'd nag about it all day  so I had to take someone to the wedding. I asked Hayley and she said she'll do it if I take her on a few dates after we get back. I accepted. That's it. She threw herself at me in the classroom when Kat saw us like that. I didn't talked to Katherine about this because I felt really awful and I didn't knew how to bring it up and when I didn't gave her an explanation she thought I didn't care. I really don't want to hurt her." I said. They looked at each other than to me.

"Fine. We'll talk to her today." Said Tom. They both walked away.

I gaze in to the sky. Only if she knew how much she meant to me.

|Katherine's P.O.V|

I was jogging, it's my way of getting de-stressed. I kept running faster and faster as if I were running from all of my problems. The cold air was brushing against my cheeks making me shiver a bit. I stopped when my phone vibrated. It's a text from Phoebe telling me to come over. I ran back home and took a shower, changed and went to their place. I knocked and Jennifer opened.

"What did I miss?" I said smiling. I don't want to bring their mood down with my own problems.

"Not much, just Liam stuffing 15 oreos into his mouth." Jennifer said rolling his eyes to Liam.

"Sup." Liam tried to say but spat everywhere.

"I brought some cookies, I made them yesterday." I said handing the box full of cookies to Phoebe.

"Great!!  Tom will set up the movie, Liam will arrange the snacks, Jen will bring the games and we need to talk." Said Phoebe and pulled me in to the restroom.

"I'm listening."

"Stop with the fake smile, I have news that will actually make you smile." She said. I nod. She told me how she and Tom called Chris and asked him questions and how he was feeling very awful for not giving me a proper explanation. I listened to every word she said.

"So what he told me was a lie?" I asked.

"Not really, he just left out the part of him having a deal with her. Plus I think those are his actual feelings." Phoebe said.

"Should I call him?"

"He did his part, the ball is at you. Do what you want. You have 10 minutes until Tom&Liam finishes all the snacks." She said handing me my phone and leaved me alone.

I looked at the screen blankly. Not knowing what to do. I remembered what Mr. Renner told me earlier. He can get him fired. But on the other hand there's only 2.5 months until school ends.

I took a deep breath and did what I should've done in the first place.
