(Author's note: The headmaster is the fire dragon above with a cloak.)

After the carriage pulled into a stop, the swarm of students gushed into the entrance of the majestic Dragon Academy. Decorated on top of the archway, were two bronze dragons. The tip of one of their thumbnails touches the other's. They had curved, graceful bodies, made especially to fit onto the entrance. They soared on metal sky, yet something in the metal made Earnest think of a clear, blue sky, with fog swirling around tall mountains.

However, Earnest had other things to worry about. Students (and even teachers) threw glares over their shoulders at him. He stumbled into the school, wishing and wondering if the crowds could cover him and his embarrassment. But why should he be embarrassed? Earnest thought angrily. It wasn't his fault that he was the dark dragon's son. Even his name wasn't given by his father. He used to call Earnest 'Ploj', which means 'Successor' in the Old Dragon Language.       After Josh killed his father, though, he was given a fresh new name. The purpose is to lighten the burden of Earnest's and hope to wipe the memory of the darkest of the times off the pages of history. Unfortunately, none of these wonderful, perfect plans worked as they were supposed to. The horrible memories of the past had been carved deep into the dragons' minds, and none of them forgot that Earnest Libratic was the son of the dragon that made the memories.

Earnest sighed. He could do nothing at the moment but scramble to the main hall. The headmaster was there, and he was, surprisingly, a common Fire Dragon. He was standing at the corner of the great hall, not attracting much attention, and was whispering to one of the other teachers, his green eyes scanning the hall with benevolence and pride. Earnest plucked up his courage to walk over to him. "Hello, sir. I am-" he began, but the headmaster cut him off mid-sentence. "Earnest Libratic."
