1. The Beast War - An Overview

A term now used to officially name the current conflict between man and beast. It began on January 1943, when rogue Beast Tanks invaded Bavaria and other countries in a single sudden offensive across the continent. It resulted in a huge loss of territory and resources on the human side. Losses were devastating, so much that humanity should have been driven to extinction. But in 1946, the introduction of Metal Maidens, however, turned the tide of conflict in favor for humanity. Since then, humanity has regained stability and some security.

2. Beast Tanks - An Overview

Back in 1940, Bavaria started a project called Zirkus which aimed to advance animals to a state where they could become more efficient servants to humankind. Ultimately, these tests were first conducted for military purposes, creating the first Beast Tanks. Regardless of the type of animal, all Beast Tanks share the unique quality of increased strength, greater intelligence, and military hardware equipped on their bodies.

However, an accident which took place on September 1942 during the delivery of some Beast Tanks to Harbin - China, resulted in their escape. What happened still remained a mystery. What was sure though was that when these Beast Tanks reappeared, they started killing humans. Soon, every Beast Tank used by various countries lost control, ultimately rebelling against their former masters and starting the Beast Wars.

3. Metal Maidens - An Overview

A Metal Maiden was theoretically the human counterpart for a Beast Tank, created via human test subjects and volunteers to further increase human efficiency. More details on it's origins is, as of this time, HIGHLY CONFIDENTIAL.

What can be discussed here though, is that Metal Maidens became the key weapon in the war against Beast Tanks. Basically, a Metal Maiden is a human being injected with classified chemicals and tested in various methods; turning that person into a powerful superhuman soldier, equipped with tank-based equipment. They are essentially literally called "human tanks". For unknown reasons, only girls (some but not all) could become Metal Maidens. Men were found incapable to become one.

The majority of Metal Maidens are currently under the jurisdiction of the Special Victoria Service - SVS for short.

4. A Short Overview on Conscription and Metal Maiden Recruitment

Due to the massive nature of the conflict, drastic changes have been made with regards to conscription and the recruitment of military personnel. More military schools have also been established to meet these needs. Examples include West Point, Yagudina Academy, Frunze Academy, and Sandhurst Academy.

As of this year, 1958, limits in joining the military have decreased. The minimum age required to become an officer or soldier is now 15, both men and women are allowed service. Metal Maidens are a special case; since only some girls have what it takes to become one, there are hardly any restrictions. The minimum age required to become a Metal Maiden is 14. Every volunteer, however, must go through a series of careful examinations, hard training, enroll as students in military institutions, and other assets before they become true Metal Maidens. This will increase their chances of early survival. Public opinion has agreed to these changes, though statistically some people are still opposed to the new system.

5. Person of Interest: Gabriel Faire

One of humanity's greatest prodigies and commanders. His career records are more than enough for him to serve as both a hero and a model to all commanders.

Born on December 14, 1935 in Britannia, Gabriel is the second son of a military family; his father having served in the Great War many years ago. His older brother, Michael, was a young scientist who died of sickness when Gabriel was 12 years old.

Following in his family's footsteps; Gabriel became controversially an officer when he was 16 years old, at a time when many criticized him for being too young to serve in the army. Support from his colleagues and his military connections allowed him to overcome the issue and participate in many battles against the Beast Tanks.

His most important contribution, however, was the development of Metal Maiden warfare. He was the first commander to create a set of tactics that centered solely on Metal Maidens, gaining numerous victories and halting most of the Beast Tanks' advances.

Gabriel served in both the SVS and the BWMG; he spent a short time as a member and adviser in the BWMG, then he became an official member and general of the SVS. This helped him to meet numerous Metal Maidens and officers; he gained a habit of touring to various countries such as Freedonia, Italia, and Rossiya, whether it was for military, political or personnal purposes. Many people describe him as nice, charming, humble, and brave.

His last known action was a defensive operation near Stalingrad in Rossiya, where he volunteered to hold off the invading Beast Tanks and give time for civilians to evacuate. He died on October 21, 1956, aged 21, and has been buried with full military honors.
