First off, I am not sure what this is or why it exists, but I really like to think there is a giant hibernating unicorn buried somewhere under Seoul.

Seoul is special like that.

This is somewhere by the artificial river that runs through the city. Story goes that there used to be a river anyway, but it was diverted and filled in to build a highway. More recently, the citizens of Seoul wanted their river back, so they built an artificial one in the middle of the city to replace what nature had once given them.

You can actually walk down into the river channel, sit down on the bank and put your feet in it. Lots of people go and chill there when evening falls. It has stepping stones, lights and a mini waterfall that lights up blue at night.

If you walk further down from the main attraction, nature's taken back over. Wild shrubs and grasses have taken root, offering a touch of greenery in a city that is largely concrete and glass.

I mentioned in a previous chapter that Seoul is a city of contrast. Shrines in the middle of the road; a fricken beautiful palace just chilling in the city; and then this, a river reinstalled where there was once a busy highway.

And then there's also random stuff like a ball of yellow bicycle wheels of which I know no context.

I will probably never understand Seoul, but it keeps me guessing what I'll find around the next corner.
