A week later, James was listening to the news while going for a leisurely drive in town. The reporter spoke about a new missing person, Lewis Greens, who was a twenty-eight year old local, last seen gardening in his yard, which happened to be a few acres down from the Johnson's place. A creeping chill went up James' spine, and his mind started going through crazy thoughts and possibilities of what could be going on.

While James had been listening to the news, the Johnson's had been too. Mr.Johnson got up from his seat in the kitchen, wiped off his mouth, and headed out into the backyard. Walking to the open lawn area, Mrs.Johnson would press a button on a hand-carried device she kept with her, and a patch of grass lifted suddenly to reveal a metal ladder going down into a hidden area under the backyard. It closed as he went down, but lighting fixtures lit the area for him. Mr.Johnson made his way down, and walked into a room that looked a bit like a mad science area. There were jars, and containers with body parts and other things floating in them, as well as knives and tools used in medical procedures as well as in food preparation, oddly enough. He walked over to a table that had something covered by a bloodied white sheet. Pulling off the sheet, Mr.Johnson was face-to-face with none other than Mr.Lewis Greens. Or rather, what was left of him. With his head decapitated, face frozen in a show of terror, Mr.Johnson wasted no time, grabbing tools needed to get the job done. He started working on separating the muscle from the fat off of the man's bones. He worked carefully to get the ribs out in prime condition, since that night's dinner was going to be barbecued ribs.

James ended up driving to the Johnson's house, since they'd been in the town for a long time, and he figured they might know more about the missing people than anyone else he could ask, aside from the police. When he reached the house, he started getting a weird feeling, like something was going to happen or was already in progress. He moved quickly, and got to the door, knocking until Gretta answered. The haunting feeling only grew as he talked to her, coming inside to discuss the topic with his girlfriend. She seemed tense, trying to worm around the subject, and decidedly asking if he would take her out for a drive in his Camaro. She was trying to avoid the conversation, trying to get him out of the house, but why?
