Pikachu sits down on the polished ground with a sad expression on his face. He is trapped down there and has no way of getting out of there. His friends have no idea that he was still alive. And worse of all, he will not be able to save his friend, Ash, from the Skullasaurus.

"If only I hadn't forgotten what he asked me to remember." Pikachu said as he struggles to recall the advices Ash gave to him before he disappeared.

Suddenly, Pikachu starts recalling all the advices that Ash told him.

"Oh, Ash Ketchum," The mouse Pokémon said as he gets back up on his feet with a bit of happiness in his voice. "If you just could've seen Piplup. He was so much braver than he believes. And Persian was stronger than he seems. And Rabbit smarter than he thinks."

Then, when Pikachu finished remembering all the things Ash told him, a memory, in the form of Ash's voice, whispers one more thing to Pikachu.

"Even if we're apart, I'll always be with you." The whisper said.

"Ash Ketchum?" Pikachu asked, but there was no reply.

"...always be with you..." the whisper continues saying to the puzzled mouse Pokémon.

Pikachu looks around, trying to figure out where the whisper was coming from. He even checks the honey pot Ash gave to him. He shakes it a bit and puts his ear close to the pot. After examining the honey pot, the whisper continues to speak to the confused Pokémon.

"...always be with you..."

"Hm. It's a rather puzzlesome thing," said Pikachu while continue to look for the source of the whisper. "but it's almost as if you had never left me."

"But that can't be, can it?" Pikachu asked himself as he takes the lid off the honey pot. "Or can it?"

The mouse Pokémon peeks inside the pot and all he can see was his reflection on the yellow sweet honey surface. He puts the lid back on, and then, he smiles as he had an empathy.

"Perhaps you are here." Pikachu states as he places his hands over where his heart would be inside the body. "So even though we're apart, we really are together?"

Pikachu chuckles at this revelation.

"Then perhaps Noctowl was mistaken all along." He proclaims. "Perhaps the place where you are is not on a map. How very nice for...us."

Meanwhile, Pikachu's friends are using the long vine to carry the heavy Slowpoke up to the Eye of the Skull. Just when Slowpoke was practically at the top, Persian almost lost his grip on the vine, and with some quick thinking on his end, he lifts the vine up in the air and grabs the lazy Pokémon. Although he was able to grab his friend, Slowpoke's heavy weight made Persian fall backwards and land on both Bunnelby and Piplup. But at last, they have reached their destination, the Eye of the Skull. But the question remains, where is Ash Ketchum?

Before anyone could begin the search, the sounds of footsteps spooked everyone, as they stared at the direction where the footsteps were coming from. As the footsteps got louder, the shadow of a scary creature begins to emerge.

"This is it, oh!" The scared Bunnelby stated as he watches the creature get closer and closer to him and his friends. "It's...It's...It's..."

But suddenly, the shadow changed its appearance to that of a human boy. Then, just like that, their friend, Ash Ketchum, entered the area to the surprise of everyone.

"Ash Ketchum?!" Piplup exclaimed, which got the attention of the boy as he turns and smiles upon finding his Pokémon friends.

"Hoo-h-h-hoo!" Persian shouted as he and his friends walk over to greet their friend. "You made it!"

"How clever of you!" Bunnelby stated as he shakes Ash's hand.

"We're so very glad to see you!" Piplup said as he runs up to Ash and hugs him.

"Hello." Slowpoke said causally.

"Where have you been?" Ash asked his Pokémon friends. "I've been searching everywhere for you!"

"We've been searching for you!" Piplup answered the boy's question. "But on the way I found something else. That I'm brave enough!"

"Feast your eyes on this..." The classy cat Pokémon said, while preparing to do a big bounce. "I'm strong enough!"

However, that bounce proved to be too strong as Persian smashes through the ceiling and gets his head stuck there. Everyone had their mouths opened, along with a look of amazement.

"Ahem." Bunnelby said to get Ash's attention. "I found I'm smart enough. Pretty smart, eh?"

"Didn't have to come clear out here to find it. Had it inside all along." Slowpoke stated.

"Of course, you did. It's just like I told...Wait!" Ash said before suddenly remembering what Piplup's answer was to his question. "Searching for me?"

"Why, certainly!" Persian said, while still stuck in the ceiling and struggling to get out. "To save you from Skull."

"Skull?" Ash said, before laughing at the confusion. "Oh, no, I was at school!"

Everyone was surprised that their friend had been at school this whole time.

"School?" Persian responded just as he got his head out of the ceiling and began to fall.

"That Noctowl." Bunnelby said with an annoyed look on his face. "Uh! I knew skull had another "y" in it."

Just as the rabbit Pokémon finished his statement, Persian crash-landed on him. Piplup then pulls up the honey-covered letter to show it to Ash Ketchum.

"But, ah, you said to worry about you 'cause you were going far away." Piplup explained to the confused boy, as he hands him the letter.

"Yeah! And you needed help." The classy cat Pokémon finished the penguin Pokémon's explanation, while sitting on top of Bunnelby.

"No, no, no." Ash responded to the confusion, as he starts removing bits of the honey from the letter, to clarify what the letter was supposed to have said. "Don't worry about me. I'm not going far away, just to school. Be back this afternoon. Help yourself to this honey! And it looks like Pikachu did!"

With the mention of Pikachu's name, the expression on Piplup's face turned to sadness. Ash noticed that Pikachu was not with them and wondered what happened to him.

"Where is Pikachu?" asked Ash to his Pokémon friends.

"Oh, Ash Ketchum, the Skullasaurus gobbled him up." Piplup answered with a sad tone in his voice.

"The what?" asked Ash.

Suddenly, everyone hears a roar in the distance. All the Pokémon then starts panicking and screaming, while eventually, taking shelter behind their human friend. Ash laughs at their reaction as he figured out the source of that roar.

"That's no Skullasaurus." He states while getting Piplup out of hiding. "There's only one thing that makes a sound like that. The rumbly tumbly of a hungry-for-honey...Pikachu!"

This made everyone come out of hiding as they were astounded that all this time, those roars were really the rumbly in Pikachu's stomach. In fact, Pikachu did not eat any honey throughout this quest. This would explain the growling sounds they have been hearing this whole time. But now, with that sorted out, it was time for them to find their dear hungry friend.

Pikachu was about to start eating the honey as his stomach continues to rumble. However, he stops himself before looking at his stomach.

"Now, Ash Ketchum," Pikachu starts talking to himself. "I was saving this honey for you. But since we're together, if I munched a small smackerel, you'd have half, would you not?"

Pikachu then thinks of an idea.

"Although to be fair to us both," He states as he grabs more honey from the pot. "I should munch twice as much."

However, Pikachu stops himself from eating the honey with a dissatisfied expression.

"But then this would only last half as long." Pikachu said with a sigh of annoyance. "Oh, it's a bothersome thing, eating for two..."

But then, Pikachu gets spooked by the loud growling coming from his tummy.

"...when there's company of three!" exclaimed Pikachu as he walks back and bumps into a giant pot of honey with a rope tied around it.

Pikachu examines it and is full of joy that the pot is full of delicious honey, enough for both him and 'Ash'.

"Ah! Look what someone has left!" Pikachu exclaimed as he climbs into the pot of honey and starts devouring the sweet honey to his heart's content.

While Pikachu was eating the honey, he did not notice that he was being lifted by someone above. They pull the rope which carried the giant pot of honey and the mouse Pokémon inside up to where they are. When the pot finally got to the top, someone knocked on it. The sound of knocking got Pikachu's attention, who stopped eating the honey and proceed to get out of the honey pot to see who was doing all the knocking. As Pikachu exited out of the pot, he was surprised to see who had rescue him. It was his dear friend, Ash Ketchum, who smiled upon seeing his best friend. There was also a huge smile on the mouse Pokémon's face, who was happy to see his best friend at long last.

"Silly old Pikachu." Ash said as he picks up the mouse Pokémon and gives him a big hug.

After rescuing Pikachu, everyone started to exit out of the cave through the eye entrance. Ash was helping Pikachu climb down from the cave's eye to the grassy ground, while Persian bounced his way out of the eye and landed softy on the ground.

"And we looked and looked, but every place we looked was one of those places you weren't." Pikachu said to Ash Ketchum about their quest to find him. "And by the tine we thought to look where you were, well, we...um..."

Something made Pikachu stopped his explanation. He was looking at what was Skull Cave, but now, it did not look so scary anymore. He and Persian were both confused about the change in the cave's appearance.

"Ex-Excuse me, Ash Ketchum," Pikachu said as he points to the cave behind them. "but wasn't that a bit, um...bigger?"

"Yeah!" Persian responded after taking a good look at the cave. "And a whole lot scarier?"

"Well," Ash started to explain, just as Bunnelby, Piplup, and Slowpoke, were beginning their descend from the eye. "things can seem that way when we're alone and afraid. Or so I'm told."

"But now there's nothing to be afraid of." Bunnelby said as he struggles to get down. Eventually, he accidentally loses his grip on the rock and fells into the bushes below, which soften his fall. "Oh!"

"Nothing to be afraid of at all!" Piplup exclaims while riding on Slowpoke.

At this moment, Pikachu starts singing a song while everyone begin the journey home.

PIKACHU:

The sky is perfectly blue
The clouds are perfect too
And here I am with you
What could be more right

BUNNELBY:

A quest has come to an end

PIPLUP:

And home's around the bend

PIKACHU:

And here you are, my friend
