Title: See You Again
Description: (Before The Lost Son to The Son of Neptune) Annabeth is looking for her boyfriend, Percy Jackson when he seemed to vanish without a single trace. To top it off, none of the gods are answering prayers and the prayers that do get answered are not helping - at least, in Annabeth's eyes.

See You Again

Annabeth was waiting for her boyfriend.

It wasn't like this was a new thing. Her boyfriend had an annoying, yet endearing tendency to forget dates and anniversaries.
He always apologized the next day with those "guilty puppy" eyes and Annabeth would forgive him.

But today was different.

Her Percy was missing.

It seemed as though he wasn't even on earth. No one could find him and the gods had gone completely silent, took Mr. D, and sealed off Olympus from the camp.

Never had Annabeth felt so alone after meeting Percy.
The son of Poseidon had always been... there, ready to give a laugh to anyone and sass everyone else to Hades. He was a constant presence.
And then he was just gone, making the whole camp felt the shift.

Just last night, Percy had kissed her cheek softly after the campfire. He went into his cabin and everything seemed normal.

Until he missed breakfast that morning.
The smell of pancakes usually woke him up. Annabeth assumed that her boyfriend was extra sleepy after helping the younger demigods.

He wasn't there to teach swordplay and avoid questions of archery.

Then he missed lunch. He wasn't there to eat his beloved blue spaghetti and ask for seconds and thirds. Campers tried to pretend like everything was alright, but the daughter of Athena noticed the uneasy glances at the empty table.

Even Clarisse was growing slightly worried for the "punk."
By the time dinner rolled around, no one had seen Percy anywhere.

The campfire was dim, reflecting the entire camp's worry for the hero. It was weird without Percy's occasional kazoo playing and off-tune singing, and all of camp felt that heavily.
It was as if someone had taken away everything.

Annabeth and Nico were sent to Percy's cabin. When the door wouldn't open, Nico shadow-traveled the both of them in.
Percy's bed was a heap of tossed blankets. The clothes he had worn yesterday were spread on the floor and Nico visibly cringed at the mess.

But there was something missing.
A Percy.

It was at that moment where the panic and dread that Annabeth had kept buried threatened to explode.
It was no secret that many monsters would have loved to capture the hero for either revenge or fame. Percy could've been captured by one while he was sleeping to be later killed.

The rational side of her brain told her that the mere thought of that was stupid.

One thing was for sure though. Something was brewing up. The gods had cut off any form of connection with the demigods and her boyfriend was missing.
Could it be?
The prophecy after the war - the one they had put off for at least another century - was it starting now?

Annabeth cursed the gods. She didn't want to be in another war.

Search parties were sent out the next day and many of the "veteran demigods" (as many had taken to calling the war survivors) had volunteered to lead the searches.
They had decided that if the gods weren't going to help, they would have to find Pecy themselves.

The only thing on Annabeth's mind these days were finding her lost boyfriend.
She pleaded with her mom to give her a clue on the whereabouts of the son of Poseidon despite the lack of answers. She searched the U.S. for her lost boyfriend.
He was nowhere to be found.

Until she got a clue.

It was something about one shoe.

The daughter of Athena promptly took off with Butch and the pegasi, in hopes of finding Percy.
Instead, she brought back three other demigods who were definitely not the green-eyed son of Poseidon.

She wanted to scream.

So she kept searching and praying to every deity she could remember. None of the others had given up either, yet she could tell that they were getting weary of the constant searching.

She got her final clue from the suspicious son of Zeus.
It was an exchange of leaders, something that Hera had planned as an act of "trust."
Her boyfriend was at the Roman camp on the other side of the country without anything.
She had quite a few choice words to say to the peacock goddess.

Tyson, in his excitement to find his brother, left with Mrs. O'Leary as soon as he heard the news.

And after months of trying, Grover got through to Percy thought the empathy link. Annabeth begged her boyfriend to stay at the camp and wait for Tyson.

She felt a spark of hope in her chest, and joy spread throughout.

He was so close now.

She would see her Percy again.

Next will be a Triton & Percy bonding fic because I honestly fell in love with big bro Triton...
