    The shift finally ended at almost 9 at night. Chaewol changed her clothes with a heavy feeling, still thinking about what Saebyeol told her earlier. She was feeling so downhearted and broken after knowing about what Sunoo has done to Saebyeol. She realized how much that guy loves Saebyeol, she realized how much he wants to see her keep on living. the way he wanted to protect her already proved to Chaewol that Saebyeol was the only one he loves in his life.

Chaewol smiled at herself, and shook her head as she kept feeling envious of Saebyeol. she doesn't want to feel that way over her friend who has been through the same thing as her.
They both wants to live, none of them were giving up on living. they were also having a hard time paying for the treatment but the miracle happened to Saebyeol instead of her. So, Chaewol didn't want to feel offended and just be happy for Saebyeol, so glad that she was getting better day by day.

Chaewol walked out of the convenience store and took a taxi to her house. After a few minutes of the journey, the taxi dropped her by the playground.

Chaewol looked at the playground for a long time and chuckled as she suddenly remembered the old moment of she was lying on the slide while reading her comics. She jumped in happiness and carefully climbed on the slide. As she was about to lay there, she suddenly slipped and almost fell on the ground but gladly, someone caught her and fell together.

Chaewol was good as he was keeping her in his embrace so tight. She slowly tilted her head to look at him and blink her eyes when she couldn't believe that it was Sunoo. He was sighing heavily and slowly let go of her from his embrace,

"Can you stop making trouble, Chaewol?"

"How many times do I need to tell you to climb on the slide carefully? Why are you always rushing like a monkey?"

He cleaned the dirt on his uniforms and fixed his eyes on her who was staring at him with her puffy eyes.

"Why don't you just go home? I told you-- it's not good to be alone here at this time."

Chaewol approached him closer and gently held his hand causing him to stop talking and looked at her blankly,

"Please give me permission to hold your hand."

"I will never have a chance to do this again. So, please let me do this." She met his eyes and chuckled.

"Chaewol---"

"Sunoo, why is your hand so cold again? I told
you, I don't like seeing you get cold..." She cut him off and held his hand longer.

Chaewol sighed, "What's wrong with your finger? Why is there a cut on it? what happens?"

"I fell when I was having the basketball training earlier." He replied and watched Chaewol who was taking out a hot pack and a bandage from her bag. She immediately helped him to apply for the bandage on his cut and after she has done it, she put the hot pack on his hand and also on his jacket for extra.

"I know that you will never bring a
hot pack with you. I was so glad that I bought it from the convenience store earlier."

"What if I'm not around you anymore? Who will buy this hot pack when your hand is getting cold? Who will protect this little and soft hand if I'm not around anymore?"

"Take care of yourself, Sunoo. I don't like seeing you this way."

Sunoo shook his head, "It's okay, Chaewol. It's just a little cut. My hand is easy to get cold when I'm outside."

"I'm still worried about you."She muttered to him and silently fill the moment.

"I heard about it," Chaewol spoke up without lifting her head to see Sunoo.

She brushed her hair out of her face and let out a deep breath before continuing her words,

"I heard that you paid for Saebyeol's treatment.."

Sunoo didn't say anything, just looked at the girl.

"I heard it from her. I'm so happy for her."

"It must be so tired of living in sickness, right? She has worked so hard to keep on living."

"She is so lucky to have you in her life."

"You're such a great man. You saved her life."

"You saved her life... that's so good."

"I hope the treatment will go well. I know you will be so happy if it happens. So I'm just praying for the best to both of you."

"If you're happy, then I'm happy too, Sunoo."

"Everything will be going well. I can't wait to see her living without thinking about her sickness and--"

"Without working so hard to pay for the treatment again."

"Chaewol, I'm sorry... "

"I'm sorry if it hurts you.."
Sunoo finally spoke up.

Chaewol immediately shook her head and chuckled, "Why do you need to be sorry, Sunoo? This is my choice. I choose to love you even though I know the truth. I choose this path, so I need to take responsibility for this by myself."

"Either I feel sad or hurt. It will never be your fault. So, don't be sorry."

"I told you, Sunoo. You didn't need to return my feeling."

"Loving you is my choice and it is a great choice ever. I never regret choosing it. I never regret feeling that way."

"So it's okay. Don't ever think of my feeling. I will be okay."

"If one day, I will get tired of loving you. I will go by myself. Don't be guilty, okay?"
She chuckled and stepped closer to him, gently holding his hand with her eyes fixed on him.

"Don't look at me with that look." She cupped his face and stroke his cheeks softly.

"I'm okay. Don't be sorry, okay?"

"Sunoo, cheer up. I hope you will have a great time with her. Cherish the moment you have with her right now. Stay with her, give her strength and comfort her. Try to bring her to her favorite places and spend your time with her by doing what she loves."

"Laugh with her. Tell her some funny stories and bring her to the cinema."

"If she loves reading comics, don't hesitate to ask me! I will recommend a lot of comics that she will love."

"Tell me when the treatment is over. I want to visit her and bring her a bouquet."

She let go of him and brushed his hair,

"You look so cute this way." She fixed his hair and chuckled.

"I will go first, Sunoo. Don't forget to visit Saebyeol, okay? Do what I told you earlier!"

She smiled, keep smiling the whole time
just to hide her sadness.

"Goodbye. Have a sweet dream."

"Chaewol," Sunoo called her causing her to stop on her way, and looked at him, waiting for him to continue.

"Do you want to watch the fireworks with me?"
