"What?! Are you crazy?!" I shouted. "If we leave here, we have absolutely NO protection. From anything." Hachi just shook his head. "If we stay here, they'll come back for us. You do t want to be here when they come back."

I growled and crossed my arms. Hachi looked impatient. "Your caretaker has already been taken! So you want the same thing to happen to you?!" He shouted.

I rolled my eyes. "Fine. Let's go. Everyone, pack a backpack." Everyone nodded, and they went off to pack their stuff. I was about to follow, but Shadowflyer grabbed me back. My face flushed bright red, and I noticed he had a tinge of pink on his cheeks, too.

"Look." He said. "I know you don't want to leave, but you're the oldest. You have to do what's best for the others. You're the caretaker now."

He let go of my arm, and my face returned to its normal color. I dashed up the stairs before he could say anything else. As I turned around for a second, I saw Hachi grinning at Shadowflyer as he walked over to him.

I hurried to my room, and began stuffing stuff in a backpack. Clothes, a book, a stuffed animal (to keep hidden), a small pillow, a blanket and a flashlight with extra batteries.

As if I would need that. I was so energized from the moon and the darkness, and I had excellent night vision. I'd give it to Physa. She was such a snob, and she probably just packed 'cute outfits'.

I usually just wear jeans and a hoodie. Maybe shorts if it's a warm day. My raven-black hair is short, but still tied back, and my black and yellow ears flop everywhere.

I stumbled around in my closet, tripping over various bits and bobs. I found rope, wires, a wallet with 20 dollars in it, extra socks, and chunks of mud and leaves that I'd tracked inside. I added the rope, wallet, and socks into the pockets of my backpack. I got a sleeping bag from a shelf, and tied it to my pack with extra rope.

I put my sack on my back and walked into Kieko's room. He was finishing packing up his stuff. "Hey, Pachi." He said. "Can you help Avilon with her stuff? She's having trouble figuring out what to leave behind." I nodded, and hurried into Avilon's room.

She was trying to fit boxes of markers and colored pencils into her small backpack. I shook my head at her. "Avi, I know you love to draw, but we can get more stuff later. You need to pack the essentials." She looked sad, and her shoulders drooped, but she nodded and took all the art stuff out.

After I'd made sure everyone had packed the right stuff, we all went downstairs again. Shadowflyer and Hachi were eating at the table. Migi looked slightly offended, as she normally helped Leavanny cook dinner. She loved making food for us.

Shadowflyer acknowledged my presence, but I pretended he didn't exist. I sat down as far away from him as I could, but he was still looking at me in that strange way. Migi kept looking back and forth between us, but I told her to stop.

"Alright." I said to no one in particular. "We need to get moving, right Hachi?" "Yes." Hachi replied. "We need to go."

I stood up, and everybody followed me. I opened the front door, and we stepped outside. I walked briskly over the property line, pretending that it didn't matter. But it did. The second we stepped outside our property, we were fair game to anyone.

Oh my gosh guys!!!! About SIX HUNDRED words!! I'm so proud. I updated twice this week! Also, I may have included a big plot point in there. (Cough, cough, hint hint)

Who ships Shadowflyer and Pachi? I DO!!! THAT MAY OR MAY NOT BE EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!!!!!!

Anyway, I realized that you probably don't know very much about Pachi's siblings. I probably won't be writing in anyone but her point of view, because her story is so interesting to me. I'll post another side chapter, telling you about her siblings. Anyway, i hope you loved this chapter! Lucariofanlover13

Peace out~ Labs
