Normal Pov

Hau and you have been traveling around Alola to complete the island challenges for a while now. And currently, you were on Akala island.

The two had just completed Kiawe's trial at the Wela Volcano Park, took the path through the cave and arrived on the northeast side of Route 8.

"That trial made me so hungry~!" Hau whined cutely as he took a Malasada out of his bag and unwrapping the paper surrounding it, "Do you want some?"

You nodded shyly. Shyly because Hau was just too precious, not that you weren't gonna accept the food. The green haired boy split his Malasada in two and gave you what seemed the slightly bigger half.

"It's getting a bit dark", Hau said in-between chews, "Are we gonna camp out tonight?"

"There's no need to sleep outside", you started explaining after you had swallowed a bit of your food, "I saw that there's a motel a bit south-west from here. We'll get there before the sun sets, i think at least"

"Ah Okay~!" Hau hummed and finished his half, soon wiping his face, "What would i do without you?!"

His question made your cheeks redden, i mean, who wouldn't find this cinnamon roll adorable? Not to mention that there was a crumb of Malasada near his cheek, which added more points of cuteness.

"Wait a sec" you said and wiped it with your finger quickly, causing the boy to blush embarrassed. You spent the rest of the walk talking about random things and joking around.

It didn't take you long to reach the motels you talked about just before. And as soon as you did, you looked for the one responsible at the reception, which was a woman, a bit older than you and Hau.

"A young, edgy-looking blonde checked in just a few hours ago, that's why we have only one motel available for tonight. It does have two rooms though" the lady explained, pointing to the wall behind her where only one pair of keys was hanging.

You exchanged nods with Hau before accepting her offer and paying. The olive brown haired woman handed you the keys for your room and wished you a pleasant night.

"The person the lady was talking about reminded me a bit of Gladion, don't you think so too?" Hau grinned before you reached the motel you were staying at. You smiled at him, thinking that it might be possible.

You unlocked and opened the door which lead to a small and tight corridor with two more doors. Those were already unlocked though.

"I guess we'll see each other tomorrow morning.." Hau said, rubbing the back of his head somewhat nervously, "Sweet dreams, Y/N~!"

"Goodnight Hau" you smiled sheepishly before entering the right door, so parting from Hau. Honestly, you had hoped to spend the night with him; not necessarily doing naughty things, but just be by his side.

But you thought asking him would sound a bit inappropriate, since he was a guy and so innocent, so you held back. A sigh escaped your lips before you let your bag fall to the ground and plopped yourself onto the bed.

There was an open window just across it, from where you were able to see the dark blue night sky, filled with sparkling stars.

You positioned yourself more comfortably, clutching the pillow as you watched the stars. You stayed like that for a while, then turned around, staring at the ceiling.

...

'Hau is just behind those walls', your gaze went to the wall separating you from Hau, 'I could just stand up and go over..' A while had passed, but you simply couldn't fall asleep.

'No i shouldn't'.. You shake the thought off and turned to the other side again, trying not to think about it anymore.

'Or maybe i should..?'

You didn't know if the choice you made was smart or not, but you got up from your bed anyways. You fixed your hair a bit before opening the door.

And to your surprise, Hau was standing outside it. He looked troubled and as if he were about to knock in the exact moment you opened. He was wearing a pair of baggy white shorts and a sleeveless baby blue shirt, which had a Igglybuff printed on it.

"Hau? You're still up?" you couldn't help but ask. You then took a closer look at him; He looked as if he'd just seen a ghost, "Are you okay?"

"U-Uhm.." He started twiddling with his fingers anxiously. You didn't know what was wrong, but it looked so adorable~.

"Are you having trouble sleeping?" you guessed aloud. The green haired male, who by the way had his hair loose, gave a shy nod.

"I-It's not exactly that.. P-Please don't laugh after i tell you this.." he almost whispered. You couldn't see because it was dark, but his face was as red as a tomato.

"Of course not" you said kindly, waiting for the boy to tell you. He took a 'deep' breath and sighed.

"I-I have bad dreams whenever I'm alone.." he admitted embarrassed, "I-It doesn't happen at home because i have my Komala plushie.. B-But please don't tell anyone, it's embarrassing.."

Your chest felt as if an arrow had pierced through it; Hau's cuteness hit you like a truck, you were barely able to handle it; So by instinct, you pulled the boy into a tight hug at the doorway.

"You don't have to be embarrassed, It's just me" You reassured him, patting his head, "You can sleep in my room if you want"

"Is that really okay? b-because I'm a boy and you're a girl.." Hau said a bit hesitantly and pulled away just a bit, so that he could face you, "B-Because Lillie used to say that it's inappropriate if a man and a woman sleep together.. Unless they're married.."

You had to chuckle softly; "You'll be fine"

"O-Okay then.."

With that, the boy shyly entered your room and you closed the door after him. He stood next to the bed, not knowing what to do exactly.

You signaled him to get into the bed with your hand and then hopped in yourself, covering you both with the blanket. That's when you suddenly started feeling a little nervous as well.

That was the reason why you both first lay down, your backs facing each other. "G-Goodnight Hau" you whispered before closing your eyes. Hau answered with a soft 'Goodnight' too.

A while had already passed, but there was no way you could fall asleep now; 'Maybe that wasn't a very smart idea-'

Hau suddenly wrapped his arms around you, which snapped you out of your thoughts as you widened your eyes, "H-Hau?!" you whisper-yelled. But you didn't hear an answer.

Flushed, you slowly turned around in his arms, only to see that Hau was asleep, mumbling something. It surprised you a bit, but you couldn't help but smile.

"Hau, are you awake?" You whispered, making sure he was asleep, before you leaned your face to his and kissed his lips. Gently, so that he wouldn't wake up. After that you snuggled in his chest and closed your eyes, and soon drifted to sleep.~
