I'm trying to be more comedic...not sure if it's working.

Enjoy!

He made sure it was all perfect. The time, the place, everything. There would be bright colors and lights flying around them as he proclaimed his love. He wanted this to be something Ash would remember.

Gladion invited Ash to come to the garden, but not before he made sure no one else was there and quickly grabbed the flowers he'd arranged especially for this moment. He led Ash into the garden at night, watching with a smile how he adored the lush green grass and the blue pools of water gleaming under the moonlight. Yes. This was going to be perfect.

"I have something to tell you...", he announced quietly as he took his hands in his.

"What is it, Gladion?"

He closed his eyes tightly and held squeezed Ash's fingers tightly. This was the moment.

"I...I l-"

"Ash!"

They both stopped when they heard an unfamiliar voice call his name. They turned to where the voice was, to see a green-haired boy with viridescent eyes and tanned skin running their way. His shorts and t-shirt was coated with sand, which ruined the grass he trampled in.

"I-I've been looking for you! Since you left Kalos, I haven't stopped looking! I finally found you. You do remember me, right?"

"Sawyer? How did you know where I was?", Ash asked, pointing at him.

Sawyer scratched the back of his head as Gladion stared at him menacingly.

"That doesn't matter. I'm just so glad I found you!"

He wrapped his arms around Ash, squashing him in a tight hug. Gladion would've beat the life out of him if Ash wasn't there. This was supposed to be his moment. The moment he and Ash would start a new life together. It wouldn't stop ringing in his head that it was ruined. All he knew at the moment is that whoever this boy was, he didn't and never was going to like him.

"How are you? I've grown a lot stronger since we last met, you know! Now I can be on top of you! In more ways than one...", Sawyer mumbled as he fondled his cheeks, thinking of things I can't write here because this story is PG.

Gladion's head was boiling, steam sputtering from his ears. Not only did this boy steal his perfect chance to confess to Ash, but also had feelings for him? He couldn't hate him more.

"Come on!", he insisted, grabbing Ash's hand, "I've got so much I want to do with you!"

It was obvious Ash hadn't forgotten about Gladion. He kept trying to pull himself back, remembering that Gladion had something to tell him. But Sawyer was more stubborn than he'd ever been.

Lillie handed Gladion another glass bottle.

"I can't believe that, that little, green-headed jerk stole Ash from me!", he yelled as he hurled yet another poor bottle at the wall, making it explode into the concrete, with shattered pieces flying everywhere.

Lillie backed away from the flying glass, being careful not to step on the shards that were already there.

Honestly, Gladion. What did the glass bottles ever do to you?

"I've never seen him like this...he must really like Ash", Lana mumbled from behind the door, still refusing to enter the room for fear of losing an eye.

"Yeah...I've been growing up with him and even I'm not used to him being this angry", Lillie added as she raised her arms to shield herself from another wave of glass.

"He's gonna pay...I don't care if he's Ash's friend, I don't care what he does to make it up to me for ruining everything, but he's gonna pay!"

Sawyer burst through the door, showing the pouring rain outside, dragging the younger boy with him by the arm. Ash was limping and his eyes were hardly open.

"Wasn't that great! I bet you really missed hanging out with me, huh? I'm so tired!"

Says you, Sawyer.

"You got new Pokemon too? I wanna see them!"

As Sawyer ran over to Pikachu and Ash's other Pokemon, the boy begun to fall backwards, but he felt something soft and comfortable hold him close before he could reach the floor.

"You're exhausted", he heard a familiar, kind voice whisper into his ear before it carried him upstairs and lay him down on a bed.

Opening his eyes, he saw Professor Kukui standing over him, watching him in concern.

Y'all really thought it was Gladion.

"Ash, you have a fever. What were you doing in the rain at night?", he asked as he sat down on the bed.

Ash sat up as the Professor felt his neck and forehead.

"I was out with Sawyer"

"What'd'you mean, 'out'. As in like a date?"

"We were just hanging out and catching up. It started to rain, but Sawyer wanted to stay out a little more. Not sure why. Coming from Kalos, he obviously had a jacket with him, and I didn't"

"Well, now you've got a fever. I'll ask Gladion to take care of you, he definitely won't mind", he offered with a devious smile, thinking of things I still can't write here because this story is PG.

"Okay. Thanks a lot, Professor"

Kukui made his way towards the room, noticing how Lana was quite strangely standing outside with her head sticking through the doorway, and the worryingly loud noises of something breaking.

"Gladion, please stop! The Professor will be angry!", he saw Lillie plead to her brother before she saw him in the doorway.

Before Gladion aimed another glass bottle at the wall, he saw him too.

And kids, this is why doors have locks.

"What are you doing?"

Gladion dropped the bottle as he faced him, still as furious as he'd been for the past few hours.

"That stupid Sawyer kid took Ash away from me. I can't destroy his hideous face, because if I go to jail I can't be with Ash, so I'm destroying Sophocles' glass bottle collection instead"

"WHAT?!", Sophocles screamed from downstairs.

Was Gladion still being that loud?

The Professor took a deep breath as he watched Gladion annihilate another bottle. All the money he could've made from recycling glass...

"Ash is sick"

Gladion froze. The rage on his face was instantly replaced with worry. Without second thought, he rushed to Ash's room to find the boy under at least five covers, sleeping silently. Gladion calmly exhaled with relief as he sat down on the bed and stroked Ash's messy, black hair.

"You're so peaceful when you sleep...", he whispered as his eyes sparkled at the sight of his beauty.

"He is, isn't he?"

Gladion jumped, instantly flinching and taking his hands off Ash, turning to face someone who was literally asking for a beating at this point.

"Wha-...how...you...", he stuttered as his finger struggled to point straight at him.

"Yeah...he got sick while I was out with him. I was just about to confess too...then it started raining. Or maybe it would've been romantic if I carried on"

"At least now you know what it feels like to be interrupted..."

"But I kept him out longer so he'd have less time with you", Sawyer explained with a smile.

Gladion tightly grasped the covers, tempted to rip them to shreds. Not only did this boy interrupt his confession and take the love of his life away from him, but now he made him sick and took away his time with him?!

"YOU SON OF A-"

A groan from Ash caught the attention of them both, stopping Gladion from yelling things I really can't write here since this story is PG.

"My head...hurts..."

They both leaned over him as he slowly awoke, a hand on his head.

"Ash, are you alright?", Gladion asked slowly, patiently waiting for an answer.

His heart melted when he saw that adorable smile.

"Gladion...", Ash moaned sleepily as he held Gladion's shoulders to pull himself up and hug him, "It's so hot..."

"Yeah...hot...", Sawyer repeated with hearts in his eyes, staring at Ash and fondling his cheeks once again.

Sawyer, I'd appreciate it if you kept your thoughts to yourself so I don't have to remind everyone for the fourth time that this story is PG.

Gladion wrapped his own arms around Ash's body, furrowing his eyebrows in concern when he felt the heat neighbor his skin. He let the younger boy fall asleep in his arms, watching with joy as a frown made its way onto Sawyer's face. Who was taking Ash now?

"You won't have him forever", Sawyer snapped under his breath.

"Oh, I think I will. Unlike you I know what he wants and how to take care of him. You, however, know only how to make people sick and leave a trail of sand from your shorts everywhere you go. You don't look good in shorts, by the way"

"Well, I know someone who does...", he murmured seductively, tugging at Ash's shorts, "...even better, what if they weren't there?"

"This story is PG, you know. That's the sixth time now"

"Whatever. It's on, blondie. Let's see how long you can last against me"

Gladion hugged Ash tighter as he gave Sawyer a threatening glare.

"As if you'd last a second against me"

Yes, I know. The PG thing was probably getting old real fast. And the fourth wall breaks. I'm sorry, but I never see stuff like this in fan fictions, so I always just do it myself.

Anyway, hope you enjoyed, requests always open, and have a good day.

(P.S: please donate money to Sawyer to buy a new pair of shorts. Hopefully he can give some of it to the Professor, too, to make up for what he could've gotten payed recycling those glass bottles)
