Poppy hid under a box, the snow falling outside. She shivered, and thought back to Mapleclan, where she had a nest that was warm, where she thought she'd had a home.

She sighed, and got up, limping to a trash heap. A Tom, flattened his ears at her, and hissed. She hissed right back.

He growled, she glared.

"You can have some as soon as I leave." She said, not wanting to seem weak, or selfish.

The Tom lashed his tail and sat down.

She picked a piece of half-decent meat, and took it back to her box, where she sat, knawing on it. (a/n IDK how you spell that word..... Nawing?)

Poppy's leg hadn't fully healed, thanks to her being framed, and it looked like it never would, but she tried to ignore that, and ignore how much it hurt to be cast out.

Poppy reluctantly thought of the prophecy that had caused her so much trouble.

So far, I've met "one who is not what he seems", a cat who will fly, and a cat with a crooked tail, so, all I have is this "pure of heart" cat, and the one who will fail.........

Her head snapped up. Blackpaw!

He failed to prove I was innocent, so maybe, he's the one.....?

She shook her head, something still wasn't right. She didn't think Blackpaw was the cat.

Well, if it wasn't him, who could it possibly be? And how am I supposed to find them?

A She-cat with a few kits was wandering around, looking lost.

"Excuse me, can I ask you a question?" She asked Poppy nervously.

Poppy looked her over. "I guess."

"Do you know where a group of cat called Mapleclan lives?" She asked, her voice dropping to a whisper.

Poppy narrowed her eyes. "I was cast out by Mapleclan, I doubt you'll receive a warm welcome too."

The She-cat's eyes widened. "Oh, I'm dreadfully sorry. But, last I was in Mapleclan, we were at peace and......." She trailed off.

Poppy flicked her tail. "It's that way." She said quietly.

The She-cat nodded, "Thank you so much." She nudged her kits. "Why don't we all thank her?" She said.

"Thank you!" The three kits squeaked.

Poppy nodded, "You're welcome." She said.

The four soon dissappeared, or of sight.

I hope they get a warm welcome. She thought.

A few days had passed since her meeting you with the She-cat, and Poppy was hunting, or at least trying to.

She saw a mouse, and stood still, waiting to pounce .........

Now!

She leaped, but her hindpaw made her slip, and she scared away the mouse landing on nothing.

She sighed in frustration, but then she heard the mouse squeak in terror, then the branches of a bush shook.

She tensed. "Who's there?" She asked nervously.

A brown head popped out of the bush, mouse in mouth. "Hey Poppy!" Owlpaw said.

Poppy was excited to see him, but didn't show it. "Hi." She said, with a gaurded expression. "I'm not on Mapleclan territory." She said, in case he was going to drive her out.

Owlpaw remained silent, looking her over, like he was sizing her up.

Poppy shifted uncomfortably.
