[Sash!Virgil is now a thing and I love it and need it and-- periwinkle_moonlight  Is treasury and secretary of Virgil!Sash-- yes.]

[This takes place some time after part 1]

[This time ya'll get a full day of Sash!Virgil]

Virgil fell back on his bed, covering up his face that he knew burned, however, not being able to cover up the smile that beamed from his lips. Tomorrow was day twenty-three, and like most things, he would never admit he loved this day. He was able to slyly get both attention and feel needed, what could be better?

The only thing Virgil didn't know, was he wasn't being sly at all.

Roman squinted in the darkness of his room as he heard the creaking of his closet door open. He bit his lip in anticipation and grabbed for his sword, which rested beside his bed currently. He hastily, but quietly, slipped out of bed, holding his sword high, and opened the closet door. However, what he saw was not in the slightest of what he expected.

Virgil was hunched over in Roman's closet, asleep, hanging by the shoulders of his hoodie on a coat rack, or as Roman would have it A royal sash rack. And, if you were to look at the darker aspect's legs, you would see nothing but a the flap of a sash as Virgil sleepily shape-shifted, having fallen asleep in the middle of the process.

Roman had decided to let this slide but in the morning found no Virgil in sight...or his favorite sash. And all at once, it clicked.

Twenty-three days later and here Roman was, slowly opening his closet door and, surprise, surprise, finding Sash number Twenty-Three hung up elegantly and pushed farther from the other sashes to stand out, as if to remind Roman to wear it.

Roman looked over the sash for a few moments and ever so slightly...it twitched, just a tad bit, but a twitch. And Roman's theories were confirmed. He had a few options, expose Virgil and forever embarrass him, wear the sash anyway, or wear a different sash. He thought about this for moment...before picking the obvious choice and grabbing the sash, slipping it on. But of course, it wasn't like he would simply wear the sash- there had to be some amount of embarrassment in this, for the purpose of a lesson of course, putting all revenge aside. Such as the fact that his sash was actually missing. But, that wasn't important at the moment. What was important was milking this for all it was worth.

Roman looked down at the sash and smiled slightly at the fact that it was Virgil, the idea still seeming silly. Roman then held the sash up to his face and began rubbing his cheek against it, cooing at it before layering it in kisses from hem to hem, "You're the best sash, you realize? Out of all the other sashes, even though you may be different sometimes- you know I love you, right?" Roman smiled genuinely, "I love you." Roman added once again, before letting the sash back down across his chest and heading towards the door of his room. Dipping down so that in a moment he was reappearing in the living room. He flopped down on one of the couches before holding the sash to his cheek again, closing his eyes and pressing a soft, loving kiss to it and then hugging it to his chest, "Best sash."

"So it seems." Logan cleared his throat from where he sat a few feet away.

Roman's cheeks matched his sash for a moment as he realized both the other aspects had been there, Patton listening to a lecture on Integrated Math from Logan who sat in an arm chair with a text book.

"What?" Roman tried to act cool, "Am I not allowed to love my sash? Is that such a crime?"

"No...I suppose not..." Logan nodded, "But it is a bit...well...out of the ordinary, for even you, Roman."

"If you love your sash, though, then that's just swell, kiddo." Patton grinned supportively.

"I assure you, I love this sash very much, Patton." Roman stated as he hugged his sash tightly, "Very much; Because, I know this sash would never lie to me about anything."

"Okay..." Logan murmured, pushing his glasses up on the bridge of his nose before clearing his throat, "Just...keep the words of love down while I'm around, agreed?"

"Sash is love, Sash is life." Roman stated with a nod, getting up to head towards the kitchen, "We shall go elsewhere." Roman stopped at the kitchen table and sat down, looking down at his sash admiringly, "I know you don't always know it...but you are a very cute sash, honestly, even though you may share the same physical features of the other sashes...something about you just seems so...unique." Roman sighed, "Of course, you won't hear this from me...you're just...a sash...but again, so much more." Roman pressed a final kiss to his sash before slipping it off, "I...really do love you, I just don't want to take advantage of you..." Roman pursed his lips together before turning away from the sash, then stopping at the entrance of the kitchen, "One More thing though..." Roman smiled shyly, "I really do love you, Virgil."

[BONUS]

Roman let out a screech as he fell back on his bed with a groan of defeat.

"What now?" Virgil sighed, walking through the open door.

"Patton used all my sashes for his fort!" Roman complained.

"So? You look...okay...without one." Virgil shrugged.

"But I don't feel okay!" Roman sighed, sitting up.

"Meaning?" Virgil advanced forward to sit on the edge of Roman's bed.

"Meaning, it's as if someone were to take away all your angsty hoodies. You'd look fine but wouldn't you feel like you're missing a part of yourself...?" Roman blinked.

Virgil made the mistake of meeting the Royal's gaze and recognizing that familiar look of sadness from the other, "Oh, brother." Virgil sighed.

"It's just not the same, I mean...without my sashes, what am I? It's not like I can get them back, who can refuse Patton? He's as cute as a button, honestly! He'll just use those round little pouty, puppy eyes and stick out his lip and says he loves you and you have to say I love you t-" Roman was stopped abruptly when he felt arms around him.

"Just shut up, it'll do you some good." Virgil suggested.

Roman was quiet for a minute as he comprehended the fact that Virgil was deliberately hugging him.

Virgil began leaning back.

"No!" Roman gasped.

Virgil flinched at the sudden reaction, "What? What's wrong?"

Roman closed his eyes and could almost convince him it was his sash around his chest and over his shoulder, but it was Virgil's arms in that of a hug, but it seemed almost better in a way, "Please, stay? Just until I...get my sashes back?"

"You mean...stay like this?" Virgil asked in disbelief.

"Well, I guess you don't have to, I was just saying that-"

"No- No- it's fine, if it helps you look better than that mess you look like without a sash then sure."

"You said I looked okay!" Roman argued.

"Yeah, and now the standards are different."

Virgil was happy his face was positioned away from Roman, he wasn't about to get caught smiling as well.
