The school bell rings and Chuuya grabs his books out of his locker before heading to the school gate. Chuuya waved goodbye to his friends and he headed to the gate expecting Oda or Maemi to pick him up. But he was surprised when he saw Dazai.

"Dazai!" Chuuya ran over to him and Dazai picked him up and hugged him tightly.

"Hey!" Dazai smiles. "Odasaku told me to pick you up today. I was thinking, me and you could go get some lunch?"

"Yes! I'm hungry." Chuuya says holding Dazai's hand. "Wait, does Papa know?"

Dazai chuckles. "I swear this time he knows!"

"Okay. Then that's fine." Chuuya smiles.

Dazai and Chuuya had lunch before heading back to the Armed Detective Agency. Oda heard the office door open and he looked up from his paperwork and smiled as Chuuya came over to him. Oda patted his head and kissed his forehead.

"Hey buddy, have a good lunch?"

Chuuya nods.

"And how was school?"

"Good! Where is Mama?" Chuuya asks.

Oda smiled. Chuuya and Maemi had been around each other for months now and Chuuya had taken a liking to Maemi, and as Maemi promised she was the best mother as could be to Chuuya. She did laundry, helped Chuuya with homework, she would tuck him in with Oda, and cook dinner for them. She was amazing and Oda was so happy to see the relationship her and Chuuya had built.

"She is at work like me." Oda chuckles.

"Will she be over later?"

"Maybe. Hey c'mere buddy I have a surprise for you."

"You do?" Chuuya asks excitedly.

"I do." Oda chuckles. Oda opens his desk and he pulls out a brand new iphone. "This is your brand new phone."

Chuuya takes the phone and exclaims happily. "Wow!~ This is mine?!"

"It is. You're fourteen now. I think now is the right time for you to have a phone, and this way you can keep in contact with me and family. Every number of importance is already added into your phone." Oda smiles. "But hey-" Oda says looking at Chuuya straight in the eyes and grabbing his not so little hands anymore. "You have to promise me that you will only text and call. No instagram, no facebook, no snapchat or any of that stuff, understand?"

"Yes, sir." Chuuya says looking back at him.

"Okay then it's all yours." Oda says, pinching his cheek.

Chuuya whined. "Dad! That hurts-!"

Oda chuckles as he attacks Chuuya with kisses, and Chuuya laughs.

It was Saturday morning, and it was also Christmas break. Chuuya had woken up around 9 am, of course because Aki wasn't going to let him sleep an hour longer. And when Chuuya looked out the window he was overjoyed to see snow. Chuuya had ran into his parents bedroom and he excitedly jumped on their bed with Aki.

"It's snowing!"

Oda shivers as he leans up. "It must be, it's freezing in here."

Maemi went over to open the blinds. "Shit. It's a full on blizzard outside." Maemi pouts. "I'm sorry we won't be able to go to the amusement park today Chuuya." She said rubbing his head. "I know you were excited to go."

"It's okay." Chuuya smiles. "We can't control the weather. We can go another day. If it clears up can we go outside and play?!"

Maemi smiles. "Sure. But right now we should definitely get you some breakfast hm?" Maemi chuckles as she and Chuuya head towards the kitchen. Oda smiled as he pet Aki and they followed them into the kitchen. Asa was sleeping on the couch, she had spent the night last night; and she woke up when Aki came over and licked her face.

"Oh geez! Aki!" She complained as she moved Aki's face from hers.

"Morning sis!" Chuuya said as he leaned over the couch.

"Mm... Morning kiddo." She said yawning and leaning up. "Excited to go to Cosmo World?"

"Can't. It's snowing!"

"Eh, really?"

"Yeah! Mama said it was a blizzard."

"Well that sucks." She pouts.

"It's alright. Hopefully it clears up later if it does then we can go have fun in the snow." Oda smiles.

The snow didn't slow down and they spent time in the house all day but it didn't mean that they didn't have fun. They ate breakfast together as a family, and after they played a few video games. While Oda was surprised to find out Chuuya was very well at, Chuuya said he had been to the arcade with Dazai a lot. Which explained it then because Dazai always was good at video games. They then played twister, Asa and Maemi hated the game but Oda and Chuuya strived to victory. They ate lunch at noon, and enjoyed watching a few movies after. By dinner time everyone had been doing their own thing for a bit. Oda doing work reports, Maemi looking at recipes for dinner, Chuuya listening to music, and Asa reading one of the many good books Oda had in his bookshelf. Oda smiled as he looked around the living room. He never thought his home would end up being so lively. He definitely never thought he'd have the chance to have a child again, especially after losing the orphans. But Oda was happy, and seeing Chuuya was happy made it worth every ounce of pain he struggled through before and after meeting him. This was the happiest Odasaku had felt in years. He could finally be at peace with what happened.
