The soft chiming of my shimmer roused me from my slumber, a familiar and welcome sound that marked the beginning of another day at the Zodiac Academy. I lay there for a moment, basking in the stillness that enveloped our dormitory before the daily rush of activities began. It was Aresday, a day I always looked forward to, filled with the promise of adventure and excitement.

With a graceful stretch, I rose from my bed, the covers cascading behind me. Our dormitory was adorned in the signature shades of cyan of the oneness of zodiac city imbuing every aspect of our surroundings. My roommates' shimmers had already begun their morning routines, ensuring that each of us would be ready for the day's challenges.

As I stood, I couldn't help but admire the handiwork of my own shimmer, Auriana, who had impeccably arranged my uniform. The rich ruby hues complemented my tall, curvaceous figure, accentuating my physique. A hint of blush adorned my cheeks, enhancing my natural beauty. My reflection in the mirror met my gaze, deep blue eyes reflecting my satisfaction. I knew the effort my shimmer put into my appearance, and I appreciated it.

"Good morning, ladies," I greeted my roommates with a warm smile. In our tight-knit group of Maylee, Paris, and Renee I found the camaraderie that brought joy to my daily life.

We made our way to the grand hall for breakfast, where a sumptuous feast awaited us. Plates laden with fresh fruits, pastries, and an array of beverages set the tone for the day. Conversations buzzed with excitement about the classes ahead, and I couldn't help but notice Maylee's cheeks turning a delicate shade of pink as she engaged in animated discussions.

During the meal, I handed Denisha a small badge. "You'll need it," I explained with a friendly smile, and Denisha returned the gesture and walked away quickly

As we ventured to our first class, I led the way with my characteristic confidence. My friends Paris, Maylee, Renee, followed closely behind, forming a united front. I couldn't resist teasing Maylee when we encountered two boys, Damien and Landon, in the corridor.

A subtle blush crept across Maylee's cheeks as Damien, with his mysterious charm, exchanged a knowing smile with her. I nudged her playfully, understanding her shyness around him.

"What's got you all flustered, Maylee?" I teased, my deep blue eyes gleaming with mischief. These light-hearted moments of banter were a reminder that, despite our unique circumstances, we were still teenagers at heart.

Damien, with his rugged charm and confident demeanor, provided a clue to Maylee's reaction. "You didn't hear?" he asked, mischief twinkling in his eyes. I furrowed my brow, curiosity piqued by the enigmatic suggestion in his words.

"Hear what?" Paris chimed in, her green eyes reflecting our shared curiosity.

"Today is a hush assembly," Damien explained, adding an air of intrigue to the conversation. We exchanged puzzled glances, unaccustomed to such gatherings.

"What's a hush assembly?" Maylee ventured to ask, echoing our collective bewilderment.

"It's a meeting held without the elders or authority figures," Damien clarified, igniting our curiosity further. Such meetings were rare and usually hinted at something significant.

With the intriguing tidbit of information, we continued our journey to the assembly, each lost in our thoughts about what this hush assembly might entail.

When we arrived, a pretty girl with short purple hair clapped her hands to gain everyone's attention. The assembly fell into silence, and I couldn't help but admire the girl's ability to command the room.

"Tomorrow is hazing day," she declared, her voice carrying through the hall. A murmur of excitement and apprehension filled the space. Hazing day was an annual tradition known for its adventurous challenges and pranks.

As the purple-haired girl explained the rules, we listened intently. "Adventurous students who found the badges are saved," she announced, her words filled with significance. My eyes widened as i considered the badges we had acquired the previous night.

"The others," she continued, "should prepare to be hazed." A ripple of anticipation and uncertainty washed over the crowd.

The rules of hazing were explained further-how royals could haze both royals and gerists, but gerists couldn't haze royals. Second-year royals were exempt from hazing, a decision likely influenced by the previous year's disrespectful actions.

As the assembly concluded and the students began to disperse, I couldn't help but notice Denisha's skeptical expression. Her analytical friend always questioned everything, and today was no exception. I simply shrugged, understanding Denisha's cautious nature. She was weird but smart. I need her
