The floor was elegantly designed. It was colored black and gold and are made up of the most expensive metals ever found. It was a beautiful sight, if not for a heap of a bloody mess on one side of the floor. A few steps away, one would see a couple turning their backs away from the little heap. A few blocks away, a boy was looking at them all, his face void of emotion.

A girl appeared before him, in a flash of light that made him stumble back in shock and fear. The girl's eyes, cerulean blue, darted around the room until it found it's target.

"Hello," she said warmly.

The boy was strutted back in fear, getting further away from the girl.

The girl seemed to notice this and said, "Do not be afraid, my dear. I am not going to hurt you. I am actually here to take you away from your abusive father. I am going to take you to a place wherein you would find peace, family, and most importantly, happiness."

The boy hesitated. Yes, he wanted all of those, the offer was really tempting. But he still wasn't sure if he could trust the girl.

He looked her in the eyes and was shocked to see sincerity. Then he thought that maybe, he could trust her at all.

Hesitantly, he reached for her hands and took them. The girl helped him up as she smiled at him. She mentioned for him to follow her, and the boy obliged, both of them disappearing in a golden light, towards a place of peace and happiness.

The next day, the neighbors were shocked to see a heap of a beaten, bloody and dead body on the floor of the house of the most admired people in the community. Nevertheless, the couple was arrested and put behind the bars for eternity. The boy, on the other hand, was spending eternity in peace and happiness with a new found family.
