The reason Chris didn't find the plushie was because a young Shasa picked up the deer plushie from the ground, thinking that someone threw it away.

The same deer plushie now lives in Shasa's dorm on BC Sol, though Free never found out that it used to belong to him.

When Valt was in preschool, he had a friend called Jubei. Jubei ended up moving away and he gave Valt his cookie before leaving. Valt eventually did the same to Shu, signifying the start of their friendship.
