As sunlight fails and fades to night

My heart full of courage, my soul made of steel
I try to pretend that it all isn't real

Fighting gallantly back against certain doom
I fight to give the innocent a light in the gloom

But I know this is the one fight I cannot succeed
With my last breaths I pray this message you heed

Now you all know the truth which we need
Now you all know even heroes can bleed
