(This is what happens when you combine a poetic mood and an obsession with The Maze Runner series.)

In the maze of the mind there are dangers ahead
Watch where you step, take care where you tread

There is only one way out of this insanity
And the answer, I think that it hides within me

So check where you've walked and check it again
Know where you are and where you've not been

The maze of the mind, it won't let me out
No matter how loudly we all dare to shout

We'll never escape, we'll wander forever
The maze of the mind is so ruthlessly clever

It traps all of us in its own little game
It's madness in truth but life by name

There was one key that no one could see
And that's that the answers all lie within me

So I run and I hide in the tunnels of stone
I pray that I won't be left here alone

The labyrinth tightens, reality shatters
Suddenly nothing but what we know matters

Everyone walking the corridors wait
As the maze once again decides on our fate

But the maze had forgotten about that one key
And that is the answer that lies within me

So I forge a new path as the maze fights in vain
And in breaking the veil I defeated the game
