The living room of the Tower was dark when you stepped inside. If it wasn't for the sound of ice clinking against a glass, you wouldn't have even known anyone was in there. You flipped on the lights and found Tony sitting on the sofa, glass of scotch in hand. "Tony? You alright?" you asked as you slowly approached the Avenger. He looked back at you with red-rimmed eyes. It was obvious that he'd been crying and that he was half drunk.

"What's up, Tony? It's not like you to drink alone," you said sitting down next to him. Tony sniffed and finished his drink before picking up the bottle of scotch and pouring another one. "It's a bad day, Y/N. Bad year, actually," he replied. You could tell he was thinking of all the damage the Avengers had caused. All the deaths you all could have prevented and everything that happened between him and Steve. "I don't know who I am anymore, Y/N. Everything we've done has really been for nothing. Steve is gone and the Avengers have fallen apart. I don't know what I'm supposed to do."

"That's okay, Tony because I know who you are," you told him, causing him to look up from the alcohol for a second. "You are Tony Stark! Genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist! You are the one that stood up for what you thought was right. The one Steve Rogers picked to continue training the new recruits. The one with the brains and skills to continue that fight against the bad guys."

Throughoutyour entire spiel, Tony stared at you. His eyes widen and filled with tears."Now, you need to pick yourself up off that sofa, put the scotch away andgo get some sleep. Tomorrow, we have work to do." You watched as Tonystood and returned the scotch to the shelf. Then he turned to you and smiled."Thanks, Y/N. I needed that." You gave a little nod and returned thesmile. "No problem. I'm glad it worked. I was afraid I was going to haveto literally knock some sense into you."
