Listening to the rolling sound of a tiny bottle which fell from her hands ,he felt the reality .But she has lost her conscious already, his white kurta was covered with red blood near his chest as her face was burried inside his chest with a nose bleeding continuously. With strangling pain in his heart he slightly cupped her face and wiped the blood with his hand and looked at his fingers which were painted red by now .

S- annikaaaa...

He roared in a shivering voice which echoed throughout the hall.Carrying her in his arms he ran towards the parking area ,and asked the driver to start immediately. The others followed them in a different vehicle .Taking her on his lap ,he cried hysterically. Never he had ever  thought that this would happen,his dream for today was just a beautiful marriage with his paanika paving way for a love life with her till eternity.It  could have been the most beautiful day with ,number of lifelong memories. But why did this turn out to be his worst nightmare .He hit himself, regretting for not telling her everything beforehand.

S - jaldi ,(he shouted at the driver)

Suddenly ,his mind flashed the scene when he held annika for the very first time .Him holding the tiny baby annika on his lap ,while she was sleeping with her fingers wound to hold his index finger.Imagining this ,he looked down to find her unconscious but still she was holding his hand now even ,even when she wasn't awake. He cried ...cried more,why did life bring both of them to such a brutal day .

S- what have you done annika?(he scolded between his tears ) Agar tumhe kuch hogaya na ,tho I won't ever speak with you .I won't  ...nahi tumhe kuch nahi hoga ,nahi ......nahi hoga na kuch ?(he spoke while holding her close and cupping her face )

Since there was an accident in that area,the way was blocked passing which they had to reach the hospital situated in the opposite road. But if they take diversion ,it would be too late.So without wasting a  second shivaay got down with her in his hands and started running.He stepped down in the subway and rushed to the opposite road.On reaching the hospital, he screamed for the doctor. Soon ,a Doctor along with a nurse and compounder came with a stretch bed in which annika was layed down .She was rushed inside the ward ,during which he felt her grip loosening from his hand .Before the door could be closed ,he knelt down and planted a long kiss on her palm.

During this action, something fell from his pocket .It was a clutch box ,when he opened it he could hear his own voice whispering "I love you paanika "continuously from that box in an excited tone.The box contained a pretty ring inside inscribed with "us"on it.

What would have happened if this wasn't which was meant to happen .He would have   proposed her ,with that ring .It was a special box in which he had recorded his voice to give her an happy surprise.He even dreamt the whole night, of how to propose her and how she would react to it .But ,what just happened was beyond terrible for him to even think of .

He really wanted this nightmare to end soon .

He leaned on the wall opposite to the ward and hit his head backwards on the wall cursing himself as he felt that somewhere he was a reason behind this.

S- I should have told you ,I should have...(banging his head backwards while crying)

At the same time he noticed ,some commotion with nurses moving in and out from the ICU ward continuously.

S- nurse ?kya huwa ...?koi problem hai ?(he asked being scared)

N- sir ,plss don't disturb us .Patient ko achanak se fits aagayi ,we can't tell anything now .

Saying this she immediately rushed inside ,while he became extremely scared and devastated listening to it.

S- kya...annika ?..

He looked at her through the door ,witnessing her breathing out fighting for life it felt terrible for him. He could actually feel his breath hanging uneasily. They were giving the shock treatment to bring her readings to normal range . It was not only her who was fighting between life and death ,the person outside was feeling a thousand times of the same which she was going through  .His tears didn't stop rather just flowed continuously making his eyes swell up in red.

By the time pinky reached there,

P- shivaay ,annika ...meri bachi kaisi hai?(she asked while crying)

S- mom...

He couldn't speak further but just fell on pinky putting his whole weight  and hugged her.With being broken terribly his legs failed to hold him up as he gradually fell down kneeling on the floor.Pinky who couldn't see her son in such a vulnerable condition immediately bent down and pulled him in a hug .

P- nothing will happen to our annika ,tum dekhna .Your paanika will definitely, come back and fight with you as always.

She spoke while wiping his tears ,but he didn't have the strength to speak anything even.He just hugged her tightly and let out his grief.

After sometime, the doctor came outside the ward watching which shivaay instantly got up and ran towards him.

S- Dr? Meri annika kaisi hai ?She's fine right,..boliye Dr .(his voice  shivered )

Dr- we have drained out the poison ,but...

S- but what ?(he screamed )

Dr- her body isn't responding for our medicines, we are trying our best so ...let's hope (he said in a low voice )

S- kya bakwaas kar rahe hai aap ,(he crushed the Dr's collars and pushed him backwards to hit the wall )

P- shivaay ,what are you doing ?chodo usse ,chodo(she tried  pulling him back )

S- I want to meet her ,(he left his hold on the Dr )

Dr- you can't (interrupted)

S- I said ,I want to meet her (he insisted with a strong voice )

Dr- ok .

He entered the ward ,and made baby steps to reach near the bed .The ever so happy girl he knew was now surrounded by machines and connected with an oxygen mask .He shivered through each second of his step forward .Nearing her, he bent down close to her face ,he could certainly feel her breath lowering and lifting up every  passing second .She seemed weak and pale ,

S- you don't have the courage to leave me annika ,I know you couldn't. So stop all this, enough ...katam karo mera punishment. Tumhe aise dekkar mar raha hoon mein ,nahi jee paunga tere bina .(he admitted with a shaking voice )Plss ,just come back to me .Kabhi pareshan nahi karunga, thang nahi karunga tuje. Agar ,still you want to punish me ,just come and beat me like hell and do whatever you want but ...(he pulled in some breath)but plss come back .Kabhi nahi kelunga aise ,tuje sab bathadoonga ,plss ...plss paanika .Plss don't leave me ,

By the time his tears already made way from his cheecks and dropped down straightly hitting her closed eyes .Magic...miracle were mere words of tricks in general, but will it be the same when you come to witness something like what shivaay was witnessing now.

It was a freezing moment for shivaay when ,he witnessed her fingers making slight movements. He noticed her eyeballs moving mildly, with tons of hopes landing in his heart he rushed to call the doctor who immediately checked her condition.

Dr- Don't worry Mr.Oberoi ,she's safe.Her readings are normal ,and her breath range is quite good when compared to before.She will be fine soon ,

These words were like something which gave an immense life of pleasure to him .He smiled between his tears,

S- maa ,annika ...teek hai .Meri... annika... (he said pointing the ward)

Still there was a slight wavering shiver in his voice which reflected in his words.Pinky immediately cupped his face and wiped his tears ,

P- haan shivaay ,teri annika bilkul teek hai .She is going to wake up soon and speak with you ,rho math beta .Sab teek hoga ,
