When Kageyama woke, he and Hinata were wrapped inside the blankets, he held the small boy close to his chest. it was impossibly perfect from the warm temperature to the soft feeling of Hinata's skin on his own. Hinata was still asleep and his adorableness just added to the perfect warm feeling spreading through Kageyama. he gently buried his hair in Hinata's orange locks, he could stay here for the rest of his life and be eternally happy. Sadly 10 minutes later he had to get up. He had training with Daichi this morning but asked Aone to make sure nobody tried to wake Hinata unless it was important. Aone nodded his head but gave Kageyama a glare that chilled the raven-haired boy to his core.

"Kageyama" Daichi called him after giving him a wave. Kageyama jogged over to join his new teacher. "I'm going to see what you're made of." Daichi excliamed. Kageyama followed Daichi to a small shooting range in the very back of base. "Here" Daichi hefted a machine gun off of a nearby shelf and dropped it not so delicately into Kageyama's arms. "Alright get ready" Kageyama turned his head and aimed at the empty range in front of him "Hey what am i...." before Kageyama could finish Daichi yelled "PULL" and a small disk was thrown up into the air Kageyama adjusted his aim and fired. the disk shattered and debris rained onto the floor. "would you look at that, your the first rookie I've trained that's not totally incompetent" but that's not surprising given your background."

Kageyama's eyes widened in shock. "don't worry we don't judge people's backgrounds here we take in anyone who is willing or who needs help." Kageyama nodded tears gleaming in the back of his eyes. "now let's go again two targets this time" Daichi continued on to have Kageyma try an arrange of different guns and targets until the sky started to turn a dull gray. As the pair began to head back inside Kageyama felt a raindrop land directly onto his forehead. "Looks like there will be rain tonight," Kageyama remarked holding his palm out to catch the small beginnings of a rainstorm. "yeah I suppose there will" Daichi replied throwing a worried look up at the sky

"hey, I'm going to go find Hinata" Kageyama announced getting ready to jog away "Wait," Daichi said placing a hand on Kageyama's shoulder. "That's not a very good idea". Daichi paused before continuing "he's probably........had a long day" Lightning flashed in the distance heightening the ominous feeling Kageyama got from Daichi's words. Kageyama gave him a puzzled look. "I think Takeda needed some help in the station....would you mind?" Daichi managed to squeak out. "Yeah, sure ill go" Kageyama said. As soon as Daichi got out of his sight he went the opposite way in the direction of Hinata's room though. He knew something was wrong and was determined to get to the bottom of it, who knew maybe it had something to do with this mole. Kageyama had a hard time seeing Daichi as a mole though.

He turned the corner that led to Hinata's bedroom only to find himself right in front of Aone. "Hey, I need to ask Hinata something do you mind if I come through" Kageyama tried to move around Aone but the large man stepped into his path. "come on wh....." Aone just glared at him menacingly and held his ground. Kageyama stared at him right back and crossed his arms. "what's this about I just want to see him, can you at least tell me if he's okay" "I can not" Aone said in a voice that very much matched his demeanor. "Why" Kageyama all but pleaded "Because he is not......ok," he said the last words in a whisper. "Can I help somehow" Kageyama pleaded. he was really worried about Hinata nobody was making sense. when Aone didn't answer he whined: "just let me help him." Aone let out a long sigh and then stepped out of his way. "I warned you," he said

Kageyama burst past him into the room. "Hinata" Kagyema didn't see his orange-haired partner at first but sure enough there he was in the corner. He had his legs tucked up into his chest and he was panting heavily. "Hinata are you okay" Kageyama whispered quietly. He began to approach but as he got closer. Hinatas vacant eyes widened in fear and he began to scramble up against the wall. "n..no....Leave me alone" he squeaked out frantically trying to get away with no avail. "Hinatas it's me can't you s..." Hinata lashed out at Kageyama but the raven-haired boy caught his wrist gently in his hand "Hinata" he sobbed. seeing his Hinata, the boy who was all smiles and gait in this state broke Kageyama's heart. Kageyama put his hand on Hinatas cheek and the small boy stilled.

"Kageyama," he said quietly. Kageyama was so relieved he was lost for words. "Kageyama!" Hinata cried out and then threw himself into the taller boy's arms. "I'm scared, whenever it thunders I...... I can't help but remember that night." Tears slid down Hinata's cheeks but Kageyama brushed them away gently with his thumb. Then he kissed him once under each eye. "Tell me about it" Kageyama requested. "It was 5 years ago, Me and Natsu and..." Hinata sobbed so Kageyama brought him closer into his chest "...our parents, we were doing fine , my dads resistance group was small and only really focused on helping the people in our town. It was peaceful until the government decided to attack our district" Hinata took a deep breath stabilizing himself. Kageyama sat quietly cradling the boy in his arms he felt at this moment the best thing to do was to simply listen. "They killed everyone, my parents hid us but they were murdered for no good reason"

"It's ok your safe" Kageyama said stroking Hinata's hair gingerly. Kageyama held Hinata until his crying turned into quiet sobs and then he carefully picked him up and brought him to the bed and lay him down. then he climbed under the covers and pulled him close to his chest as if he would be taken away any minute now.
