Rain's POV

While we were scouting, my mind drifted to what Meeps had said.

What she said really hit home, and I realized I was doing exactly what Kyle did.

Andrew's head snapped up. "Somebody is following us, and they're not giving up," he told me.

"Act like you don't know," I whispered and when I give the signal, turn around and attack."

Andrew nodded and we continued on walking.

After a few minutes, I jerked my head, and Andrew spun around, with his axe drawn.

The pursuer was so surprised that she fell onto her back.

"MEEPS?" Andrew asked in disbelief. "SERIOUSLY?!"

Meeps looked sheepish. "Hi there," she said.

"Meeps? Why? What?" I tried to ask.

"I want to come with you," Meeps said.

"No," Andrew said. "You're not coming! It's too dangerous!"

"I'm not a baby anymore!" Meeps said. "I'm fifteen years old!"

"I DON'T WANT TO LOSE YOU!" He yelled.

"AND I DON'T WANT TO LOSE YOU EITHER!" Meeps replied.

The two siblings faced off.

"Please, let me come," Meeps begged. "I won't get in the way  I swear."

"Fine, you may come," Andrew sighed reluctantly. "But if there's a powerful enemy, I want you to hide. You understand me?"

Meeps nodded.

[A few hours later...]

"Are you sure she'll listen?" I asked.

"She better," Andrew grumbled.

"Wait, I hear something," I said, to see an ice blue demon with a trident followed by some smaller ice blue demons.

Andrew and I exchanged looks and nodded, knowing whoever this guy was, he was a threat.

Andrew pulled Meeps behind a tree.

"Meeps, stay put," Andrew commanded her.

As Andrew got up and began to follow me, his sister grabbed him by the arm. "Andrew, wait," she said.

Andrew turned around, and blinked.

"Promise you won't die?" Meeps asked, sounding like a young child. "You'll make it out alive, right? You promise?

"I promise, little sister," Andrew said. "Don't worry. Nothing will tear us apart ever again."
