When he saw me, his eyes went from love, lust, needy, to anger, disappointment, and disgust.

All of that stung really bad, but it didn't really have an effect.
I already know what's going to happen, and I don't care at all. How can that be? You're supposed to want your mate. You need your mate. You will get really sick, and eventually die if you don't have your mate.

" I soon-to-be Alpha Christian Black, reject you, Riley Whites as my future Luna and mate." he sounded so confident in himself for saying it. Well pretty boy, you're about to get crushed.

" I don't care that you rejected me. I don't feel a thing so I, Riley Whites, accept your rejection as mate and future Luna. You will soon realize what you have done pretty boy."

"YOU WILL come crawling back to her. I have more power than you and you will regret ever hurting, and rejecting Riley, you worthless human being. If you tell anyone about our conversation, I will destroy you!"
I said with so much power. I guess my wolf decided to pay a visit to him and tell him a few ... Things

How can that be though?!

I just pushed the thought to the back of my mind, and walked away leaving a shocked Christian behind. I picked up my ear buds that I dropped on the way of being dragged towards the shed.

My shifting, I can't believe I forgot about that.
You see, when you turn 18, you shift. Simple. If you find your mate before you shift, and they accept you, the shifting would not hurt at all because you have your other half.
But if you get rejected, it's going to hurt like hell, and you might even die during your shifting. It's because you don't have your second half, and your wolf is refusing to shift making it harder and more painful because its too much power for your body to handle alone.
If you don't find your mate by the time you shift it won't hurt either because your wolf doesn't know who it is so they would let you shift to find their mate a little easier. It's not a very complicated concept.
