3rd POV

At the dorm building, Weiss decides to make amends with Ruby. Meanwhile, Y/N is painfully limping up the stairs.

Weiss enters RWBY's dorm to see most of her team asleep. She checks Ruby's bunk to see her asleep with multiple books around her.

Weiss is seemingly amazed by Ruby's determination but shakes it off and wakes her up.

Ruby slowly opens her eyes and realizes the situation she's in then start flailing her arm around.

Ruby: Weiss! I-I was studying, and then I fell asleep! I'm sorry...

Weiss places her hand on Ruby's mouth and brings a finger up to hers, signaling for quiet. She then removes her hand then notices a empty mug on the bed.

Weiss: How do you take your coffee?

Ruby: I... I don't...

Ruby is cut off by Weiss silently yelling at her to answer the question and quickly responds:

Ruby: Uhh, cream and five sugars!

Weiss sighs, takes the mug, and disappears to her bunk. Then pops back up with a full mug of coffee.

Ruby: Um... Thanks, Weiss.

Weiss looks at her apologetically and says:

Weiss: Ruby, I think you have what it takes to be a good leader. Just know that I am going to be the best teammate you'll ever have!

Weiss pops down and then appears back at the door.

Weiss: I always wanted bunk beds as a kid.

Ruby smiles as she leaves.

Outside the dorm, Weiss closes the door, smiling. At the same time you get to RWBY's floor. Also the last floor in the building to get to the roof.

You peek the corner to see Weiss down the hall. You decide to painfully walk normally, hoping that you won't catch her attention.

Weiss POV

I start walking down the hall and see the student that fought the other boarbatusk. What was his name? Y/N right?

Well, he walks up the stair, but we're on the highest floor here. The only thing up there is rooftop access.

I decide to go to the roof to see a cot and a some kind of living space near the door. On the cot is Y/N supposably trying to sleep.

Me: You sleep up here?

He looks up at me then lays his head back down to stare at the stars above.

Y/N: Yea. And?

Me: Well, don't you get cold up here?

Y/N: I'm used to it.

Me: You don't like me do you?

He doesn't answer but I get it.

Me: Is it because I'm a Schnee?

Y/N: I never said I disliked you.

Me: Well I'm sorry, if my family possibly affected you or I did myself...

I start to remember the initiation. I remember helping him.

Me: Also thank you for your help during the initiation. It wouldn't have been good if those Beowolves got to us.

He sits up and looks at me humbly.

Y/N: And I should thank you too. I'd probably be dead if it weren't for you.

Me: You're welcome. I'll be off now, good night.

I walk back to the roofs door but before I leave I hear him yell:

Y/N: You ain't that bad Schnee!

I smile then leave for my door.

The next morning...

Ruby POV

I walk to the roof hoping to thank Y/N for yesterday. I was hoping I'd catch him yesterday but I guess he didn't come back until late.

I walk onto the roof to see him exactly where he was the other day, standing by the roofs edge looking at the sun.

Me: No pistol today?

He looks back at me and smiles.

Y/N: No I have it, it's just that I'm too tired to draw it. What brings you here Red?

I look at him then look away playing with my hair. Why is this so hard? I just wanna thank him.

Me: I-I wanted t-to thank you for yesterday...

He chuckles and walks up to me.

Y/N: It's nothing Red, besides it looked like you needed it.

Me: Yea...But I still want to thank you.

I close the distance between us and kiss him.

Jk XD

I close the distance between us and hug him. But instead of hugging me back, he screams in pain and pushes me away.

I land with a "Oof" and look at him as he holds his chest obviously injured. I look to his cot to see lots of bandages and a bloody suit.

I get up quickly and run to Y/N.

Me: Y/N what happened?!

He looks at me and opens his mouth to speak but closes it.

Y/N: Roman. He and his goons mugged me and beat the crap outta me. He didn't recognize me though.

I bring him to sit on his cot.

Me: You should come to classes if you're injured like this!

He waves his arm and smiles.

Y/N: Don't worry Red. I've had to deal with worse, I've been shot at. Remember?

Me: That's not a good thing Y/N...

He nods his head slowly then looks to me.

Y/N: I'll be fine Ruby, go I'll see you in class.

I'm shocked for a second. He never uses my name, but I listen and, although hesitant, leave.

Y/N POV

Man I hate that I had to lie to her. I've lied plenty of times granted, but for once it hurt doing so.

But I did tell her some truth. Roman did beat the crap outta me, but not the fact that I have to work for him or he'll go public with my photo.

It's a bad hand but I have to raise the pot to save myself.

Let's hope this doesn't bite me in the ass.
