Leon looked at the jar, watching the goop inside struggling to untwist the lid that kept it captive, as he mulled over what had happened the day before.

"This is a Symbiote, Leon," Nick Fury gestured to the blob. "It's been feeding off you for a week now. Thankfully we managed to pull it away before more damage could be dealt, but now the question is, what do we do with it?"

He poked the jar slightly. What should he do with it? Everyone had agreed that he would be the best man for the job since it had latched onto him, but still... Even if it had been latching onto him like that, it was still a living creature. He couldn't do anything bad to it... Could he?

That said, he couldn't just release it around the city too. Who knew how many victims this one could take if left alone in a city filled with innocent civilians?

He frowned. But he couldn't leave it here...It would endanger other people, like his family.

He groaned, and looked out the window, wishing for some sort of idea to whack him hard--

He stopped, and his eyes widened as he looked at the bridge that connected New York to other places.

"That's it!" he shot up. "I can drop the Symbiote off under the bridge! Not many people will be around there, so they won't notice it and let it go!"

With that in mind, he grabbed a backpack and put the jar inside as he slung it over his shoulder.

"I'll probably have to use a bike," he mumbled to himself offhandedly, so he headed to the bicycle park, unchaining his bike and pulling it out while settling the bag on his shoulders and making sure it wasn't going to fall off anytime soon. Once he was done, he fastened his helmet on and set off for the bridge, using the pedestrian lane to get to his destination.

The sounds of honks and shouts faded off during his journey, and he chose to take in deep breaths every hard turn to ensure he could keep the adrenaline pumping. He could feel the Symbiote trembling in his bag. It was catching on to his intentions, and that wasn't good.

He quickened his pace. If it got out here... The damage would be disastrous. And Leon didn't want that.

The bridge soon came into view, and Leon rushed to park the bicycle nearby before hardening his hold on his bag as he slid down to the empty riverside--

"Leon?"

Not-so-empty riverside, he corrected himself internally despite how he had frozen in place, "C-Chris!"

Chris Walker looked just as surprised, his greyish blue eyes wide as he asked, "What are you doing here?"

"I-I..." he fumbled for the right words. What was he supposed to say? He couldn't leave the Symbiote here! Not with Chris here! "I-It's a frequent hangout place of mine!"

Chris rose his eyebrow, "Yeah, no. I'm sure I would have seen you, either way. I come here often, and my house is nearby."

Great, there went his lying skills, he bitterly cursed. Of course this was a frequent of his.

He did try a few more times, only for them to be shut down brutally by his best friend, who was getting increasingly frustrated, and it scared Leon. His mind was torn now.

What should he say?...

Tell him the truth?

No! That--!

That was too risky...

But... Chris was his best friend, right?

So it should be okay to tell him about being Camo Spider, right?

It was okay, he eventually convinced himself. Chris wouldn't tell anyone. Chris knew it was a big secret. He would help. Chris was smart. He could help them in their fights as well!

Yeah, that sounded right! He could trust Chris!

"Chris... I have something I need to tell you."

(It would be the decision he grieved the most out of all the reckless ones he had made in the past.)

"Thanks for helping Chris!"

"Hey, no problem!" he gave his friend a smile as Leon waved once more before heading upwards to head home.

Only then did the smile go downwards, as the anger in his heart was kindled. A scowl formed as he mulled over what

"So it was you..." he whispered quietly. "You were the one who got bitten by the spider..."

"How could you, Leon... I thought... we were kindred spirits... Yet... It was you who took the chance I had to create for myself?"

Creating the window to get superpowers so he could be one himself... And yet what happened, in the end, was that he remained powerless, while Leon got it. Leon, who always had great friends, a great smile... even a girlfriend in Ava Ayala.

Well, no more, he thought as he looked down at the jar that held the Symbiote in it. Leon had said that this thing was dangerous, but... it was also powerful.

A smirk slowly formed.

"Your powers will be mine, Camo Spider... I will take all that is precious from you," he swore before he smashed the jar, letting the glass shards fly around before returning to earth as he declared, "Symbiote, let's form a bond and take him down, shall we?!? It's time for some OUTRAGE!

I hope I managed to convey the emotions well OcarinaDude13. It's quite short too, but I hope you like it.
