"Rue! I'm home!"  I yell as I trudge into the small apartment, tossing my bag to the side as I rummage the fridge for some food. I grab a raspberry yogurt, the only healthy option in the fridge, and begin opening while grabbing and spoon and dipping it in the pinkish treat.

I walk into my room which I also share with my sister, and see my thirteen year old sister petting my guinea pig. She likes to help take care of my pet by giving it food and extra love. I'm pretty sure Wren likes Rue more because of this. Which honestly sucks since he's my pet, but I think I'll live.

"Noa! Watch what Wren can do," she looks up at me, her icy blue eyes staring into my pale grayish ones. I watch as she places Wren on the opposite side of the black fluffy carpet in our room. He immediately scurries towards my sister, pushing his nose against her leg, letting her know he wants her to pick him up.

I told you, he likes her better than me.

"Well, I know he for sure loves you more than me," I say with a playful flat look, which she returns a smug look of victory in return. I take notice in her wearing my Red Hot Chili Peppers top. She looks good, I'll give her that, but she always takes my clothes without asking me. I usually brush it off, but that's one of my fav shirts since I had cut it up to give it a raggy feel to it.

"Rue. Why are you wearing my shirt?" She keeps stroking Wren as she looks up at me and pouts.

"Um...well you haven't worn it in awhile and uh ..." she stumbles on her words as she knows she's busted.

"Ugh whatever. Just ask me next time. I already share everything else with you, so like could you at least ask me if you can wear my clothes?" She nods, lowering her head. I usually don't get upset with her as she is the only person I really talk to besides my mom. Recently, though, our mom has been working longer shifts at the nursing home, so most of my time has been with Rue. And Wren, of course.

"Yeah yeah. Sorry. Um want me to cook up some spaghetti for dinner?"

"I'll do laundry then." I reply back as she beams at me. She loves to cook, and I'm a disaster in the kitchen, so she usually cooks when mom works late. I tend to do all the other chores...but the thing is, I don't mind. Doing laundry and washing dishes surprisingly calms me. Plus, I always listen to music as I do, so it's like an escape for me too.

"Cool. I'll finish up my history homework and get on it then." She quickly gets up and begins doing homework at her desk. I take out my homework for a bit, letting my mind linger to my tutoring session tomorrow with Rhett.

I wonder how it will go, and if we would actually be friends. I laugh to myself as I thought about him and I being actual friends. We are so opposite, almost like the sun and moon. Him, of course, being the sun that's always shining and glowing with light and happiness, while I'm the moon, looking over the dark world, glowing and shining light in a different way.

"Stupid fucking locker!" I scream out, causing several people to glance in my direction. I give one girl a glare, narrowing my eyes into slits and slanting my mouth so it appears more menacing. She looks at me wide-eyed before turning around and rushing frantically away from me. I almost consider doing a victory dance until I look back at my locker which is still closed.

"Need some help?" I hear my favorite person ever say from behind me. I turn around, meeting his warm smile with a cold frown. The funny thing is, his smile made me feel strange shivers whilst my cold and 'brooding' frown seems to make him light up ever more.

Odd.

"No. I'm fine. I'll just use this notebook and figure it out at lunch. Thanks anyways." I mutter the 'thanks' as it felt weird slipping off my tongue. Quite frankly, talking to anyone besides the teachers was weird.

"Hm okay. Want to walk to chemistry together?" I look over at him as we begin to walk, his steps seem to match mine. I roll my eyes at the question since we both know he would walk with me regardless of my answer.

I shrug at his question anyway, not wanting to talk anymore.

"Um...here." I see him pulling out a wrinkled sheet of paper. "It's my cell number and address...for the tutoring." I take it from him, looking at it and see that he lives in the rich neighborhood.

"I honestly thought you were joking when you asked. But, you're for real?" My voice comes out harsher than either of us expected. Moreso than me. He nods with a small smile, and I find myself not frowning. Almost smiling, you could say.

"Yeah...if you'd still be up for it. Please." His chestnut brown eyes plead me, and I feel myself nodding. Damn him and his adorable brown eyes.

Ew. Adorable. I did not just say that.

"Great!" I notice we are already at the classroom door as he smiles and gives me a slight wave before taking a seat in his assigned desk. I take mine which is a couple rows from his and let my mind trail to the endless possibilities of how the tutoring session will go.

I would say it would be uneventful, but I know when you add the sun and moon, you get a solar eclipse. Solar eclipses are definitely something...extraordinary.
