Drabble 17 You are all I need

Gauri still smiled because of the beautiful surprise Omkara had prepared for her today. It was something she had badly needed after feeling dull and restless the past few days.

How was it possible that he knew what she needed without having her voice it out?

"It's because I love you." He said walking over to her before sitting down and placing his head on her lap. Her smile brightened realizing she had said the last thought out loud.

"I love you too, even more than before. Having you support me, trust me was all I needed. You are all I need Omkaraji." Her fingers stroke his hair and he placed a kiss on her thigh.

Gauri didn't flinch or freeze as he had expected instead she placed a soft kiss on his forehead. Ever since that Incident with that Abhimanyu she had been wary of his touch, not because she was afraid of him but because she could not forget that Man's touch.

She had felt so dirty afterwards but Omkaraji never gave her the feeling that he felt so too.

For him she was still as pure as a river and Gauri felt tears roll down her eyes when she realized that he was one of a kind husband. Other's would have believed that Monster but not her Omkaraji. He knew his Gauri. He knew she would never allow anyone else to touch her. She belonged to him in Mind, Body and soul.

„What did I do to deserve you?" She asked and he looked up at her. Pulling her face closer to his, his eyes burned into hers. "It's the other way round Gauri. I never deserved you....You are the purest and most selfless person I know. You are strong and fierce-A True fighter. I never deserved your love....nor you. Not after everything I let you go through....Can you forgive me?" His eyes were now closed in pain and Gauri made him sit up.

"Forgive you what Omkaraji?"

"That I left you with Kaali. That I manhandled you...treated you so badly...that I judged you...accused you....How can you still love me and look at me the way you do? Whenever you look at me I feel like a hero, like I am the best thing that ever happened to you..." His voice trailed off and Gauri silenced him by placing her lips on his. It was for a brief second but Omkara stilled. He didn't want to scare her if he reacted, nor did he want her to feel obliged to show him how much she loves him with physical intimacy.

"Gauri..."He whispered and she shook her head. She knew what he was thinking.

"You are the best thing that ever happened to me Om...Without you I would have been dead or worse raped by Kali Thakur and his brothers. I know back when you left me there after the Chulbul truth you were hurt...I couldn't blame you yes I was hurt but you were too. After that you proved to me time and time again how much you care for me and my safety. You never failed in protecting me Om... Just because this time you couldn't' be there when I needed you doesn't mean you are a failure. You are the greatest Husband because you believed me and supported me in speaking the truth. Thank you." She closed her eyes; resting her forehead against his. Omkara tried to prevent his tears from falling but in vain. When Gauri felt the wetness on her Hands she wiped his tears away softly.

"Please Smile. For me....Life is more beautiful with you smiling Omkara. You wanted me to keep smiling so I need you to do the same. We won't let that one incident dictate our life."

Placing another kiss on his lips he finally reacted. A kiss more assuring that passionate. He tried to convey his love and every ounce of trust into that one kiss.

When they finally parteded Gauri's cheek were red due shyness and she lowered her eyes.

"Kya Hua...Suddenly so Shy? Tum meri patni ho. It's your right to kiss me." Omkara whispered and she softly slapped his face.

"Besharam!" The Smile on her face was exactly what he wanted to see. That Smile was his reason to breathe.
