Voidpaw awoke again in the starry territory of the ghost badger. He stood up immediately and looked around for it. 

"Hello, young one," it said, appearing behind him. 

Voidpaw jumped before whirring around to face it. 

"Sorry," they said, "I couldn't tell where you were. Are you ready to learn medicine cat things?"

"Yes! Definitely," he said excitedly, his tail waving. 

The badger walked a few fox lengths, and the mist revealed a flat stone with herbs lying on top of it. "I'll be teaching you about a few basic herbs first. What are the things that you currently know about healing or being a medicine cat?"

Voidpaw stared at the stone, only recognizing the cobwebs. "I- I don't know a lot. I know that medicine cats help those that are in their clan."

It sighed, "We'll have a lot to do then. You know what cobwebs are? They help to stop wounds from bleeding, and somewhat prevent infection." 

The black apprentice nodded. It went on, "This is marigold. They're commonly found around water, and you can recognize them by their bright petals. When chewed into a pulp, they prevent infection."

The two spent some time learning common herbs. By the time Voidpaw woke up, his head was spinning from memorizing everything. He blinked, not used to the bright setting compared to his old den. It was still dark out, but dawn would come soon. The tom sat still, enjoying the moment of peace.

A/N: I won't be writing out every nighttime training scene because that would be boring >:P but I hope this one time will set an example for what happens behind the scenes.
