Bella rolled over in her sleep and pushed the covers off her sore legs. Her head was throbbing and all she wanted to do was keep sleeping. Even though the effects of the sleeping pills had worn off, she was determined to remain asleep. The sun peeked through the hospital room window, casting itself onto Bella's legs. Bella let out a sigh of relief as the sun hit her cuts and bruises. A huge bang echoed through her room, making Bella throw her head up too quickly.

The nurse sent an apologetic smile at Bella and picked up what she had dropped.

"Sorry to wake you Miss Swan."

Bella pushed herself upwards and clutched her broken hand close to her stomach. She then yawned and shrugged. "It's alright, I've been awake for a bit," Bella lied. Bella rubbed the sleep out of her eyes and looked at her side, just to see crumpled sheets. Bella frowned at the disappearance of Edward.

The nurse placed the metal tray beside Bella and Bella's eye wandered, trying to see what was on the tray. There was fresh gauze, scissors,  and a wet cloth.

"It's time to change your bandages, Miss Swan." Bella nodded and pushed the  thin covers to the end of the hospital bed.

The nurse lifted up her hideous hospital gown and looked at her thighs. Blood had barely seeped through the bandages. Bella gripped onto the bed sheets as the nurse slowly unwrapped her legs, leaving her legs bare and vulnerable. The woman gently rubbed the tender skin with the cold cloth, removing the dry blood. The woman then placed gauze on certain sections of her Bella's legs.

Bella wiggled her toes, avoiding the nurse's gaze as the woman changed the bandage on her stomach. Bella peeked down and regretted it immediately. The bandage was covered in crimson blood. Pain shot through Bella's stomach as the woman wiped her stomach. The woman mumbled an apology and put a fresh bandage on it. Bella flinched as the woman sat up, bumping her wrist that was bitten. The woman disposed of the dirty bandages and walked towards the door.

"Dr.Cullen will be here shortly," the nurse said. Bella nodded and the nurse walked out of the room. A familiar face peeked into the doorway and Bella tilted her head, a small smile appearing on her face.

Edward walked in holding a white tray in his stiff hands. The muscles in his hands tightened, making him gripping the tray. He hated seeing Bella in pain.

"I was wondering where you wandered off to," Bella stated. Edward chuckled and sat himself on the uncomfortable hospital bed.

"How are you feeling?" He asked. Edward balanced the tray on one hand and stroked Bella's cheek with his thumb. Bella leaned her face into the palm of his hand. Edward smiled at Bella as she removed her hand from his frigid hand.

"I'm sore," Bella admitted, "But I will get through it. Then there's the fact I have to deal with this thing," Bella nodded at her cast. Edward exhaled an  unneeded breath, that sounded like a small laugh.

Bella glanced at the tray. There was a glass of water and a small amount of scrambled eggs.

"Carlisle says he wants you to eat before he comes and checks up on you," Edward explained. Bella looked at the food and wrinkled her nose. The thought of food made her want to vomit. "I know you don't want to eat, but you should Bella. It will give you strength and help you heal faster."

Bella pushed her knotty hair back into a ponytail as Edward placed the tray on her legs. Bella winced, her cuts and bruises on her thigh stinging. Guilt clouded Edward's expression. Bella shoved the pain away as best as she could and picked up the fork with her non-broken hand, scooping the eggs onto it. Bella forced the food in her mouth, the cheese on the eggs melting against her tongue.

Bella scooped the last bit of food into her mouth and drank the last bit of her water, just as Carlisle walked in, holding a clipboard against his chest. Edward sat  himself in the wooden chair and Carlisle walked up to Bella with a small smile on his face.

"How are you feeling, Bella?" Carlisle asked, placing the clipboard on Bella's bed. Bella tucked a small piece of hair that fell out from her pony behind her ear.

"The nurse came in a awhile ago and changed my bandages, excluding the one on my wrist. My stomach is hurting and I have a bit of a headache," Bella said.

Carlisle nodded. "Let me see your wrist." Bella lifted her wrist and placed it in Carlisle's cold grip. Bella would never be able to get used to the feeling of the Cullen's skin. Carlisle slowly removed the gauze that was wrapped around her wrist, letting it fall to the floor. Sneaking a glance, Bella looked as Carlisle examined her wrist.

"Look's like it's all healed up," Carlisle said, releasing Bella's wrist. Bella pulled her wrist back and analyzed it. There was no blood, just a perfect crescent scar. A reminder. Bella placed her wrist beside her waist and looked at Edward, who was looking at her wrist.

"Well, Bella," Carlisle said, "I think we can bring you home now. I'll bring Alice in and she'll clean you up. Let's go son, I need to talk to you." Edward placed a small kiss on Bella's forehead and stood up, following Carlisle out of the hospital room.

Alice walked into the room, a huge smirk on her face. She walked up to Bella's bed and looked at the IV tube. With a little pull, the IV was removed from Bella's wrist. Bella looked at her wrist, and to her surprise it wasn't bleeding. Bella pushed the breathing tube away from her body. She felt better knowing she wasn't attached to anything.

"Do you want some help?" Alice questioned as Bella angled herself upwards, her legs dangling off the bed. Bella nodded and Alice wrapped Bella's arm around her shoulders and held Bella upright by her waist.

Bella exhaled a sharp breath as she took a step on the cold floor. Pain jolted through her legs, as they wobbled, begging to walk. Alice practically held Bella in the air, as Bella did her best to stretch her cramped legs.

"Where are we going?" Bella asked as Alice led Bella out of the hospital room and to the elevator.

"There's a bathroom near Carlisle's office that has a fresh pair of clothes for you and a bathtub so you can clean up."

The elevator doors closed with a small squeak. Bella looked up, watching the lights in the elevator flicker. The doors opened once more on floor three.

"I want to try and walk," Bella informed. Alice nodded and placed Bella on the floor, her eyes locked on Bella's feet to make sure she didn't fall. Bella lifted her right foot, then her left, trying to ignore the pain that made her want to collapse and curl up into a ball.

"This way," Alice mumbled, loud enough for Bella to hear. Bella followed Alice down the plain hallway, the sounds of coughing and trolleys stuck in the hallway. Another nurse walked past Bella and flashed a smile. Bella raised her eyebrows and swallowed. Alice pushed open a door with her shoulders to reveal a medium-sized bathroom with tile floor.

"I'll be outside if you need me," Alice said. Bella looked at the bath, right as Alice added on to what she said. "I already filled up the tub. I thought it would be easier than a shower."

"Thanks," Bella said. Alice closed the wooden door behind her. Bella could still see the silhouette of her spiky hair in the door's small window. Bella used her good hand to somewhat unbutton the hospital gown. The gown slid down her legs and Bella stepped out of it.

Bella immersed herself into the hot water, making sure her cast wasn't getting wet. The hot water stung her legs and stomach, but soothed the rest of her body.

After Bella washed her hair with the hawaiian smelling shampoo and conditioner, she quickly scrubbed every part of her body, trying to remove all of the horrible memories of the night in the school.  Bella pulled the drain when she was done and stood up, water dripping off of her. She picked up a towel and quickly dried her body using her good hand and rubbed the towel through her hair.

Wrapping the towel around her body, Bella stepped out of the tub and walked up to the counter where there was a small pile of clothes that was neatly folded. Bella sifted through the clothes. Finally, she released her grip on the towel and threw on the clothes that Alice had left her: gray sweatpants, fresh undergarments and a very baggy t-shirt that Bella had never seen before.

Bella picked up the t-shirt and brought it up to her nose. The smell of Edward washed over her senses. Bella smiled and threw on the light blue shirt over her head. As Bella placed socks on her feet, someone knocked on the door.

"Come in," Bella called out as she ran her fingers through her wet curls. Edward gently pushed in the door and walked into the small bathroom.

"Hey," he said with a small grin.

"Hey you," Bella said with a smile. Edward brought Bella close to him, his lips lingering just above hers.

"I wouldn't kiss me if I were you," Bella said.

Edward raised his eyebrows, concerned. "Why?" He asked, creasing his eyebrows.

"Because I haven't brushed my teeth  yet."

Edward rolled his eyes and and pulled Bella in by her waist, pressing his lips firmly on hers. Bella let out a little sigh, as his cool breath entered her mouth, his tongue tracing her bottom lip. Edward slowly pulled away and chuckled, Bella holding her hand against her chest, trying to get back the air in her lungs.

"You ready to go home?" Edward asked.

"Hell yes," Bella replied and Edward chuckled.

Edward led Bella into his volvo and buckled her up, even though she knew how to. He got in swiftly and    and pulled out of the hospital parking lot and onto the streets.

"Renesmee is really excited to see you," Edward explained, keeping his eyes on the road. "Jacob has been dealing with the pack lately, so she hasn't had anyone to be with. She's been stuck with Jasper and Emmett for two straight days. I'm surprised she hasn't gone crazy." Edward laughed.

"What about Esme and Rosalie?" Bella asked."Have they not been in the house?" Edward shook his head.

"They went to visit the Denalis' for a few days in Alaska. Alice, Carlisle and I have been staying at the hospital. I didn't want to leave you."

Edward placed his hand on Bella's and stroked her fingers. Bella looked up into his eye to see the corners were a dark gold. Bella sighed.

"Why haven't you hunted?" Bella asked.

Edward avoided the question and gripped the steering wheel tighter, his knuckles turning white.

"Answer the question," Bella said through her teeth. Edward turned his attention to Bella, his dark eyes brooding.

"I wanted to Bella. I did. But It's not that easy."

    "Then enlighten me."

Edward laughed uneasily. "You are so stubborn, you know that?"

"I've been told. Now tell me."

Edward ran a hand through his bronze hair and spun the steering wheel. He then directed his attention to Bella, his golden eyes melting Bella's brown ones.

"It's like there's a magnetic pull. even if I wanted to leave, I couldn't because Isabella, I am so in love with you, that don't want to spend any waking moment away from you."

Bella's cheeks went a violent red and she looked down. Edward put his gaze back on the road as he pulled into the Cullens' driveway.

"I love you too," Bella said quietly, "But you really need to hunt."

A crooked smile twitched at Edward's lips. "I will."

The volvo door opened wide and Edward pulled Bella up by her forearm. A body crashed into Bella, making her hit the gravel.

"Mom!" Renesmee screamed. Bella chuckled and hugged Renesmee close.

"Hey beautiful," Bella whispered in her daughter's ear.

Renesmee grinned wider at the sound of her mother's voice. Edward gently removed Renesmee from Bella and helped Bella up. He chuckled and Renesmee gripped onto her mother's hand and led her into the house.

Emmett and Jasper had video game controllers in their hands, their eyes glued on the TV.

"I'm winning," Jasper taunted. Emmett growled. A beep came from the TV and Emmett stood up, throwing his controller on the ground, smashing his controller into pieces.

"You cheated," Emmett hissed, baring his teeth.

"Or," Jasper suggested, "I'm just better at the game." That was the last straw for Emmett. Emmett snarled and grabbed Jasper by the collar of his shirt and dragged him outside. Emmett yelling masked the sound of trees getting ripped out from the ground.

Edward chuckled and looked down at his watch. Bella sat herself on the couch with Renesmee and Renesmee had her hand on Bella's neck, showing her what she had missed in the few days she was in the hospital.

The front door of the Cullen house opened and Alice, Rosalie and Esme came in. Alice was chatting to them about the Denalis'. Bella rolled her eyes at Alice, just as Renesmee removed her hand.

Edward sat himself beside Bella and wrapped his arm around her waist. "What time is it?" Bella asked.

Edward didn't even have to glance at his watch. "Quarter to two."

"Well then you have plenty of time to go catch some food. I'm safe, and you need to hunt." Edward rolled his eyes and stood up.

    "Go," Bella ushered.

Edward turned around, his face in front of hers. "I'm going, I'm going," He said with a playful smirk. He placed a gentle kiss on her lips and stood up again.

"I think we could all use a hunt," Alice said.

Edward shook his head, anger spreading on his face. "Bella is not staying home with our daughter by herself!" Edward snapped. "Especially not with a vampire wandering around, wanting to kill her!"

"Did I say she was going to be alone? I just said we could all use a hunt," Alice spat.

"Stop it, both of you," Esme chided, her voice shaking. Edward and Alice quieted down and looked at their feet. Even though they have been alive for hundreds of years, they still bickered like teenagers.

Edward inhaled a breath and Alice mumbled something under her breath.

"I think you're right Alice, we could all use a hunt. But I don't think we should leave Bella here alone."

"I agree. Carlisle will be home in about two hours and if she needs anything, she can call us. The wolves also always have some eyes around here."

Edward quietly growled and nodded in agreement. Esme, Rosalie, Alice and Edward walked out the door and gathered Emmett and Jasper, who were still throwing trees at each other. In an instant, the Cullens vanished.

"What do you want to do?" Bella asked Renesmee, who was looking at Bella's cast.

"Can we make cookies and eat them after dinner? I've made cookies with Grandma before, but not you Mom," Renesmee said with a grin.

"I would love to." Bella ambled into the kitchen and got out all cooking utensils, while Renesmee zipped around the room getting the ingredients. Bella chuckled and quickly preheated the oven.

Renesmee placed a bag of chocolate chips on the counter, and looked at Bella with pleading brown eyes. Bella nodded her head and smiled. Renesmee poured in some of the ingredients-with Bella's help- and stirred it, her tongue slightly sticking out. Bella opened the bag of chocolate chips and Renesmee poured at least half of the bag in there.

"Do you have enough chocolate there?" Bella asked in a teasing voice.

Renesmee pulled the stirring spoon out of the bowl and into her mouth. "You can never have enough chocolate. It's almost as addictive as blood." Bella raised her eyebrows and Renesmee quickly corrected herself. "Animal blood."

Bella scooped the cookie mix onto the pan and put it in the oven. Renesmee helped Bella clean up and even started doing the dishes.

"What should we have for dinner?" Bella asked as she took the plate from Renesmee and dried it.

    Renesmee shrugged. "Lasagna?"

Bella nodded.  "Sounds good." Renesmee ran upstairs and Bella searched through the freezer and luckily found a pre-cooked lasagna tray.  All she had to do was put it in the oven. Bella removed the cover for the lasagna, just as the oven beeped for the cookies. Bella pulled out the cookie tray and distributed the cookies onto a cooling tray. She then put the lasagna in the oven and started the timer.

After Bella pulled the lasagna out of the oven, she scoop some onto two plates and brought them to the living room where Renesmee was setting up a movie of her choice. She placed the plates on the living room table. "Don't spill the food on the couch or Grandma will have us by our necks."

Renesmee giggled. "Can I please have some animal blood to drink?"

Bella nodded and walked back into the kitchen and grabbed two glasses. She filled one with Coca-Cola and held the other glass in her hand while she searched the cabinets for where Esme stored extra blood.  Bella opened the last cupboard door and winced at the side. There was small cups that had labels on them, and the cups had a dark red substance. Bella put down the clear glass and grabbed a plastic cup that was labelled 'deer.'

Bella walked back into the living room with the glasses and sat down on the couch beside Renesmee who was eating her cheesy lasagna. Bella put the cups down and started eating their lasagna.

When they finished dinner, Renesmee curled up beside Bella and played with her fingers while she gazed at the television screen. After the first movie finished, Renesmee got up and put in another.

Half-way through the movie, Bella looked down at Renesmee to see that she was sleeping quietly. Her lips were pursed and her mouth was slightly open, breathing in the air that surrounded them. Bella chuckled quietly and turned the movie down using the remote.

Curious, Bella picked up Renesmee's hand and placed it on her cheek.

Renesmee stood beside her mother in the meadow— or what Renesmee believed the meadow would look like. Bella looked a bit different. Her eyes were golden. She was a vampire.Renesmee also looked younger. She looked around the age when Bella met her. Bella chased Renesmee around in the flowers, the two of them in hysterics.

Bella froze and grabbed Renesmee by her shoulders.

"Remember what I taught you,Renesmee," Bella said in a melodic voice. The little girl squealed and turned her attention to the deer that was a few miles away. Renesmee placed her hand on Bella's cheek and Bella nodded.

"That's my girl," Bella said, a grin expanding on her pale face.

Renesmee crouched down, clutching the grass in her small hand. She pushed her foot back and stuck out her tongue, concentrating. The young girl ran forward, quicker than any human, her mother trailing behind her.

The deer bounced away from the noise, but Renesmee didn't give up. Renesmee jumped on the deer, grabbing it by it's neck. The deer yelped and fell to the ground. Renesmee raised her head back, then sank her teeth into the neck.

Blood poured into the little girl's mouth, satisfying her hunger    . Renesmee clutched the deer tighter, trying to get every single drop of blood in the deer's body. The deer fell from Renesmee hands and she ran up to her mother. Her mother picked her up and spun her around.

"I am so proud of you, princess," Bella said, burying her face into the little girl's neck. Renesmee squealed and then the scene changed.

Bella was standing in the living room, where everyone was crowded, except Bella, Edward and Renesmee. The front door creaked and Bella turned her head to see herself walking through the door in a blue dress with a smug looking Edward behind her. Her eyes were a bright red. Bella's eyes flashed to the other Cullens and Alice grinned.

"Being a Vampire suits you, Bella !" Alice said with a grin.

"Welcome to the family Bella!" Esme stated.

"Someone has been dying to meet you," Carlisle commented.

Rosalie turned around, and Bella's insides melted. A small baby was in her porcelain arms. The baby had big brown eyes, and almost a full head of hair. The baby gurgled and raised it's hand, as if it were reaching out for Bella. Newborn Bella grinned and whispered "Renesmee."

Bella reached out her hands and placed them under the baby's armpits. Baby Renesmee as she was lifted into the air and into her mother's arms.

Everyone in the room tensed except Edward as Bella walked over to the window, rocking her arms back and forth.

"I love you so much, Renesmee Carlie Cullen," Bella said as she gently tapped  Renesmee's small nose.

Edward wrapped his arms around Bella's waist and watched Bella quietly coo to the baby. Edward opened his mouth to talk, but before Bella could hear what he was saying, the scene evaporated.

Renesmee's hand slowly slid off Bella's cheeks as two cold arms lifted the little girl into the air. Bella looked up sleepily to see Edward holding his daughter in his arms.

"Did you see. . .?" Bella asked. Edward nodded.

"She was thinking about what would happen if you were there from her birth. If you were Nora." Bella smiled, trying to force her eyelids open.

"I'm going to tuck her in, then I'll  come and get you," Edward said with a sly smile. Bella nodded and picked up the dishes on the  table and brought to them kitchen and placed them in the kitchen.

Edward wrapped his arms around Bella's waist and rested his head on her shoulder as she rinsed off the dishes. Bella yawned and turned the tap off.

Bella turned around and attached her lips to Edward's. Edward didn't argue. He kissed back as Bella wrapped her arms around his neck. His cold lips felt so soothing on Bella's. Edward breathed into her mouth and used his tongue to trace the outline of her plump lips. Bella let out a small moan.

The kiss grew more intense, and before Bella knew it, she was on the kitchen counter with her legs wrapped around Edward's waist. Edward planted gentle kisses on her neck. Edward then pulled away with a small smile.

"Sorry, I got a little carried away," Edward admitted.

"Well, you should get carried away more often," Bella teased. Edward chuckled and brought Bella into his arms and walked up the stairs. He gently placed her on the silk sheets and Bella pulled them up to her stomach. Edward kicked off his shoes and laid down on the bed, Bella in his arms.

"Bad idea, Alice," Edward mumbled, eavesdropping on her thoughts.

Bella lifted her head up and raised her eyebrows.

"It's okay, love. Alice just has something planned tomorrow for you and I told her it was a bad idea."

"Do I have permission to strangle the pixie?" Bella asked.

    "You have my full permission."

"Then I don't see why there's a problem." Edward chuckled and Bella laid her head back down on his chest, her eyelids drooping. Edward hummed quietly and Bella soon fell asleep.
