As my Father and I were called back to court on a matter of safety, we headed to the throne room. I saw Nuntis on her knees, shackled with her arms behind her back. "Nuntis?" I ask curiously. She looks up at me. Relief floods her eyes. "Please, your Highness. I came to warn you! Someone wants to assassinate the King! They came to me with the job, but i turned it down i swear. Valerie. Please! You have to believe me!" Nuntis was near crying now. My father looked between me and Nuntis, with an eyebrow arched. "When i was out late, i sought shelter and came upon Nuntis here. She gave me shelter and a place to sleep. I promise you father, no harm came to me" I defend. "Daughter, you do understand that she is a murderer, yes?" My father asks me. "Yes Father" i admit shamefully. I want to keep her safe. "Father, look at her. Please remember" i beg, now allowing my glamour to drop. He looks between Nuntis and me. His eyes flash. "It can't be..." he states bewildered. "Release her" he says and the guards are left gaping, but they do as ordered. Nuntis stands up and comes to stand beside me. She curtsies delicately. My father looks down upon us and smiles fondly to himself. "I thought you were lost..." he whispers. Leaving Nuntis and I stunned and confused.
