Anika turned to look at her parents who were looking at her with a huge smile, which she knew was fake.

A- Mom! Dad! I never thought to see you here.

Anika's Mom immediately hugged her but Anika didn't hug her back.

Anika broke the hug and looked at them with a frown. Shivaay was also looking at them keenly while kiara had already fell asleep.

Sa- We were having dinner in the 7 star hotel nearby and saw you here so we thought to meet you otherwise why would we come to this cheap locality.

Sangeeta said while boasting off her status and scrunched her nose while saying the last line. Anika rolled her eyes as she knew her mother very well.

A- so tell me which business deal do you want me to crack for you?

Anika asked her parents, knowing their motive very well. After hearing her question, her parents smiled nervously.

Ad- Why would you think that?

Adhiraj finally said and Anika looked at him with a sad smile.

A- Because i know you both very well. You both won't even acknowledge each other if there's no profit so why would you come here and ask me my well being. The last time we talked, I remember that you disowned me so why are you both here now?

Sangeeta tried to cup Anika's cheeks but Anika stopped her by showing her hand.

A- Don't give me the crap, Mom. Just come to the point.

Anika said angrily and Her parents rolled their eyes.

Ad- Okay, if that's what you want. I want you to get married to my Business partner, Raizada's son. Our business will flourish because of this deal.

Adhiraj said with a proud smile and Anika chuckled dryly.

A- I knew it.What did you think that you'll come here with a deal and I'll say yes? Don't you know that I'm legally married and you want me to marry some other guy so that 'your' company could flourish?

Sa- Legally married, huh? What a joke! We don't consider your marriage. Who's your husband? That handicapped man who couldn't give you anything. Why do you want to stay married to him. He's just a useless man.

Sangeeta said while pointing towards Shivaay and he looked ashamed as he knew that she said true, he isn't capable of giving anything to Anika.

Anika glared at Sangeeta angrily.

A- ENOUGH! THATS MY HUSBAND YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT. I WON'T TOLERATE HIS INSULT. HE'S MUCH MORE CAPABLE OF BEING MY FAMILY THAN YOU BOTH ARE SO STOP THINKING THAT YOU BOTH ARE PERFECT BECAUSE YOU BOTH ARE THE WORST PARENTS IN THE WORLD. YOU HAD MADE MY WHOLE LIFE, A NIGHTMARE AND NOW THAT I'M FINALLY HAPPY WITH MY FAMILY, YOU BOTH ARE STANDING HERE LIKE MONEY- HUNGRY PEOPLE BEGGING ME TO MARRY SOME RICH BRAT. I'M SORRY BUT I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF BOTH OF YOU.

Anika shouted at them angrily and they too glared at her.

Ad- you're not doing right, Anika. I hope you don't get any happiness with that handicapped husband of yours and that filthy orphan kid.

Anika was now seeing red. How dare her father call her little angel, an filthy orphan.

She took a water bottle from her car and splashed it on her parents' face. Her parents were shocked.

A- This is for calling my baby, an filthy orphan and my husband, handicapped. He might be temporarily physically handicapped but you both are mentally handicapped and the filthiest parents in the world for not caring for their child. Get that. Now leave my way and enjoy getting humiliated in front of the whole world.

Anika said the last line with a smirk and at that time, her parents noticed that they were surrounded by media.

Anika smirked and sat in the car and drove towards their home.

The whole journey was passed in silence.

They reached home and Anika helped Shivaay to get into his wheelchair and picked up Kiara's sleeping figure in her arms. She turned to look at Shivaay, who was already wheeling towards the main door and entered the house. She sighed sadly and walked inside the house.

She made her way towards Kiara's room and made her change in her sleep and then made her sleep. She caressed her forehead and kissed her forehead.

A- I love you, my baby.

K- Love you doll.

Kiara whispered in her sleep and Anika smiled. Anika switched off the lights of her room and Walked towards their bedroom.

As soon as she entered their bedroom, She noticed that Shivaay had already changed in his nightwear and was sitting on the bed, lost in his thoughts.

She didn't say anything and went to change into her nightwear.

After freshening up,nAnika sat beside Shivaay and rested her head on his shoulder. Shivaay came out of his trance and looked at Anika.

He just held her hand in his. Anika smiled while playing with his fingers.

S- You know that your parents were right. I'm not capable of giving anything to you. I'm just a handicapped man who couldn't even look after myself, then how will I look after you? You're beautiful, smart and successful then why are you with me?

Shivaay asked her and Anika smiled.

A- Because you're my family. If you're under the influence of my parents, then let me tell you that I was never Happy with me. You and Kiara make me happy. I've never been so happy in my life.

Anika said while looking at Shivaay and he looked at her with a stunned expression.

S- Didn't you feel bad about what your parents said?

Anika shook her head in negative.

A- I would have felt bad if I considered them as my family but in true senses, they were never there for me. They are practically strangers to me. I used to crave for their love. I did everything they asked me to do because I thought that if I'll obey them then they'll become my parents in true senses, like every normal family but when I met you and Kiara, I knew that family is all about love, not favours or expensive gifts. You and kiara are my family now and I'm the happiest person alive now.

Anika said with a huge smile and Shivaay Smiled too. He gently kissed her forehead and Anika smiled.

Shivaay knew that Anika was happy but there was a slight pang of hurt in her heart because of her parents, so he decided to lighten her mood a little.

S- So do you want me to show you Kiara's childhood pictures?

Shivaay asked her and Anika squealed in excitement.

A- YEEEEEESSSSSSS....

Anika said and Shivaay chuckled at her excitement.

S- Okay. There's a photo album in the first drawer in the cupboard.

Anika immediately rushed towards the cupboard and brought an photo album. She settled beside Shivaay and kept the photo album in between their legs.

Shivaay opened the first page of the album and Anika was just admiring the cute baby kiara in the first photo.

S- This was taken when Kiara turned 6 months old and she used smile all day.

Anika chuckled and caressed the photo.

A- she's so adorable.

Shivaay turned the page and another picture came into view.

S- This picture was taken when We took her to the park for the first time and she was so happy after seeing all the birds and squirrels. She even chased some.

Shivaay said with a chuckle and Anika chuckled too.

S- This was taken when I tried to give her a haircut but it turned out so bad and she was getting cranky that she looked like a clown so I made a flower Tiara for her so that She could look good and she was so happy about it.

Anika smiled at him.

A- This is so cute. I never knew that you were a barber too.

Anika said with a chuckle and Shivaay shook his head in disbelief.

S- This was her guitar obsession. She was determined to become a guitarist after she saw a performance on TV.

S- In this picture, I took her to the park and she sat on this swing and while clicking her picture, I slipped Because of the puddle and fell down and she burst into laughter.

Anika chuckled.

A- She has a beautiful smile.

Shivaay then closed the album and Anika was looking sleepy.

S- Should we sleep?

A- Hmm..

Anika said with a yawn and Shivaay chuckled.

They laid on the bed in each other's arms and drifted into sleep.
