New Year, a holiday that everyone look forward to. It marks another year of Earth revolve around the Sun. A new hope for a better year. To leave behind all the negativities and start fresh again. To abandon all the sadness and wishing for happiness.

For the Royal Family, it means family vacation. It's a tradition for the family to go on vacation for a week. During this time, they can temporarily put behind most of their duties (except urgent matters) and spend time together.
Every year, the family would go to a skiing resort on Delphina mountain. Since the 19th century, the King at the time loved to ski at this mountain. Thus, he decided to build a vacation house on the mountain. Then, he allowed one of his close friends, who had the biggest company in hospitality business, to build a resort. The King wanted to share the beauty of this mountain to his citizens and not just reserved only for the Royal Family. Therefore, Delphina had became a famous place for people to come and enjoy its breathtaking scenery.

From then on, the Royal Family come here on New Year for their family vacation. The special thing about the vacation is there will be absolutely no reporters allowed to the resort. The family can fully enjoy the vacation.
The vacation house is a three-stories villa, located on the east side of the mountain. It has been remodeled 3 times by famous architects and interior designers. King Tan Suttirat just ordered it to be remolded last year; therefore, the villa is new and modern. It is equipped with the most current technology. The path from the gate leading into the house is surrounded by native pine trees of the mountain. In front of the villa is a beautiful water fountain. The villa is decorated warmly, giving off a cozy feeling of home. The living room is a wide area with wall-sized glass door looking out to a big jacuzzi outside, out to the woods. The villa was building facing the east; thus, in the early morning, the sun colors the living room with its golden rays. The center of the room is a half moon shaped sofa and coffee table. The sofa is faced to the right wall, where it holds a 75-inch TV. Below the TV is a fireplace. Despite the modern design. The fireplace is the oldest piece of the villa. It is the heart of the villa, where the family gathers after dinner for quality family time. The kitchen and dining area is located to the left of the living room. All the bedrooms are on the second floor. The third floor is a big entertainment room.

At the left side of the villa is a guest house. There is a path that connect the villa to this guest house from the dining room. The purpose of this guest house is for the current partner of the Prince or Princess. The Royal Family strictly prohibits any partner, who is not officially married into the Royal Family, to sleep under the same roof with the Prince/Princess. Therefore, the partner of the Prince/Princess must leave the villa, the latest, at midnight. (Except the one time when Earth and Kao were stuck at the military base).

This year, both the Princes of Alethea invited their boyfriends to the vacation. Both Kao and Ohm gladly accepted the invitation to spend time with their loved ones on New Year.

On New Year Eve, the Royal Family and Kao arrived early. They settled into their rooms and then went out to watch the firework together. It's another tradition that the Royal Family host the firework at the resort. The firework is always livestream from news channels and broadcast to the whole country.

The next day, after a good breakfast together, they headed out to ski. Fluke felt so lonely by himself without Ohm. He had to witnessed his parents along with KaoEarth being lovey-dovey. He could not wait for Ohm to come. Sadly, the said man had to work and won't get out until late afternoon the next day. Then, it would take 4 hours by car from the capital to Delphina. Ohm probably won't arrive till late at night. Fluke has to suffer this loneliness in this pink atmosphere around him for 2 days. He is seriously sulking. He can't do anything except keep on skiing to pass by the day. His parents and his brothers are already off somewhere by themselves.

Oblivious to the sulking Fluke, Kao and Earth are enjoying their time together. They ski down various courses. Earth even offered to race down with Kao, confident in his skiing skill. They raced 4 times and Earth won one. Kao could tell his boyfriend was sulking after Earth lose for the third time; thus, he purposely slowed down during the fourth race. However, Earth had already read the situation, so he was mad even more when Kao purposely lost. His eyebrows furrowed and his cheeks puffed, expressing his discontent. Kao laughed out loudly seeing Earth's face.

"A mad rabbit is so cute." Kao said while squeezing Earth's cheeks. Earth could only glare at his boyfriend.

After they felt tired, they rest by the bank of the mountain forest. It's late afternoon, the sun is already shifting down to the west side, giving away its gentle rays. They both lay down, the snow as their bed. A few white clouds move idling under the blue sky, allowing the couple to relax their minds and bodies. The winter wind blows by; yet, their hearts are warm from each other's present.

"Such a beautiful sight." Kao's gentle voice disrupts the silence.

"Uhm." Earth hums as a response. He turns his smiling face to look at Kao, who already stared at Earth for awhile.

"A white rabbit laying on top of snow is a beautifully rare sight." Kao remarks again.

"Where?" Earth curiously asks looking over his shoulder toward the direction that Kao had been looking. "I don't see any rabbit."

"The rabbit is laying right next to me."

"Ai Kao." Earth hits his boyfriend on the arm. He is always teasing Earth.

"Such an abusive Prince." Kao giggles while continues to tease his boyfriend. Earth gives him another glare, only to look cuter in Kao's eyes. "But so cute, nah~"

"You still dare to tease me? Take this punishment." As Earth finished speaking, he turns over and pokes his finger into Kao's side by the stomach to tickle him. However, Earth forgot that they are wearing thick clothes. Kao feels only a light pressure, nothing to make him tickle at all.

"I'm waiting for your punishment, Your Highness." Kao quickly teases Earth again, smiling from ear to ear. Earth can only sighs at his failed plan. He glares at Kao again then lays back down, ignoring his boyfriend.

Then, Kao moves his body up from the snow. He puts his hands beside Earth's head, his legs by Earth's waist, completely trapping the Crown Prince underneath his body and passionate eyes. "Don't be mad anymore. I'm just playing." He kisses Earth's cold lips.

Earth's cheeks are crimson red, not sure if it is because of the cold or his shyness. He is no longer sulking, definitely. When Earth doesn't response, Kao lowers his head again for another quick kiss.... then another.... then another.... and another... until those quick kisses turn into a deeper kiss. Both warming each other up through their connection. Earth wraps his hands around Kao's neck, pulling him closer, seeking the warm feeling from his boyfriend.

They break away when their bodies are screaming for oxygen. Earth is dizzy from their kiss. Kao puts his forehead on Earth's forehead, refusing to move away from their closeness. They takes a few minutes to catch their breath.

"I want to show you something." Earth speaks after his breath normalized.

Kao stands up and then helps his boyfriend up. Earth holds Kao's hand and leads him toward the forest. They walk into the forest without any path. Earth seems to know where he is going. He had walked around the forest here thousand times. He explored it when he visited ever year. After a few turns, they have reached the edge of the mountain. The wind is blowing stronger here due to the open space they are facing. Earth and Kao can see the scenery down the cliff. The mountain is covered in white snow, but there are something purple popping out from the snow at different spots. The vast cliff is covered with all the purple spots. They sway whenever the wind blows by, creating a purple wave on the white sea.

"They are purple crocus, knows as the ice breaker. A flower that can bloom in the snow." Earth gently speaks up, his voice is carried away a little by the wind.

"They are beautiful, baby." Kao responses in amazements.

"Kao, I want you to know..." Earth stops his sentence, he looks over to Kao, staring into that deep black eyes. He tries to gather his thoughts before he speaks again. "Before I met you, my heart is like this lonely mountain. A mountain that tries his best to fit into the expectation of others, to carry its responsibilities. I always have my family, who is supporting me. Yet, I always crave for something else, something normal. I crave to do something that I like, to laugh freely, to joke around, to go to watch movies with friends, to have a date with my boyfriend at the night market, to do all the things that a Crown Prince can't do. When I realized how important is my role, I learnt to suppress all these selfish thoughts away and focused on being the best Crown Prince. Slowly, my heart is covered with all the white snow. I forgot the warm in my heart. Then you came into my life. You put down a seed in my heart, you water it every day, you nourish it into a beautiful flower, blooming brightly against the cold snow, like these beautiful flowers." Earth feels his eyes getting teary, both due to the winter wind and the growing emotion in his body.

Earth takes a deep breath and speaks again. "Kao Nappakao Dechaphatthanakun, will you marry me and be the only flower in my heart?"

Kao honestly has no word to describe how he feels right now. First, Earth surprised him with such a beautiful sight. Then, his boyfriend expressed his feeling toward Kao with an emotional speech. And now, he is proposed to Kao. His heart is having an outburst from beating too hard to the point it hurts a little. He wants to say yes, but his mouth can't utter a single word. Kao leans his head down to Earth's face, feeling his breath. He kisses those beautiful lips, tasting its sweetness. Kao hugs his boyfriend's waist, pulling them closer. He wants to use his action to show how he feels, to show how much he loves the person in his his embrace right now.

They break away a little later. Kao finally says, "Yes, I will be your one and only flower, for the rest of my life. If one day you want to get rid of this flower, I will put another seed into your heart and grow it again. I love you, Earth."

Earth feels shy at his now fiancée's answer. His heart is jumping in joy. Earth puts his head onto Kao's shoulder, hiding his shyness.
"I love you too." Earth responses in a small voice. He wasn't sure if Kao even heard him. But luckily, Kao did. Kao hugs Earth tighter into his embrace, enjoying the warm that they are sharing.
The flowers are swaying more, seeming to cheer the couple on their sweet moment.

"But babe, why you copy me with the flower scene?"

The romantic atmosphere is broken with just one sentence by the future Prince Consort.
