Hiccup POV

Astrid and I were just on patrol like any other day. "Well very good patrol Astrid, the Edge is secure". We were flying away when something fought my eye. It was a box. It liked like it was made of emerald. Being the curious person I am I picked it up and flew back to the Edge to get a better look.

"Alright bud, let's get a better look at this thing". He just rolled his eyes and went to his rock slab to sleep. "Lazy dragon". I sat down at my desk and took a look. "What the..." There was a Night Fury and. Deadly Nadder carved onto it. This must have meant something. Right? There was a lock on it. "Hm.." I tried to pick the lock.

No luck

5 minutes

Nope

10 minutes

Nothing

15 minutes

Goose egg. It was already really late and I was tired. "Alright. That's it bud. I'll try again tomorrow". I swear I could feel him roll his eyes. I walked up the stairs to the loft. I walked to my bed and closed my eyes. 💤💤💤

The little emerald box slowly opened. Little did the one-legged Hattock know that everything was going to change....
