"Good morning, khun Dew. How was your night?", Mae greeted him.

"Good morning khrub. It was good. I sleep well.", Dew greet her back with a smile which show her his dimple. "No need to call me khun, Ms. Mae. I'm younger than you, so just call me Dew."

Mae smiled. "Oi! What a sweet talker. Sure, sure! You can just call me phi too."

"Khrub.", Dew replied. His eyes were wondering around the resort lobby. Looking for Nani but he's not there to be seen.

"Er, phi khrub. Did you see Nani?", Dew asked.

"Nani? Erm...", She paused while looking around too. "Hm. You'll not going to see him around here in the morning."

Dew frowned. "Why?"

"He usually just come by in the afternoon.", Mae replied.

"Come by? I thought he's working here.", Dew asked.

"Well.. not really."

'Not really'? Dew getting more confused. He was about to ask more but a guest came and he have to stop talking to Mae.

"We'll talk later na. I have to work first.", She said.

Dew left the lobby counter and went outside. He decided to walk around the resort. Do everything that he can such as went to the souvenir shops. Eating some deserts, ice-cream and so on. Sometimes he will took pictures and opened the gallery.

Scrolling his camera roll, he suddenly saw his pictures with Bam. His finger paused. Somehow, even he did many things to distract him from thinking about Bam there are always things that will remind him about her. He shut his phone off then let out a heavy sigh.

He shifted his eyes to the beach. The scenery, with blue skies and the sea touched his vision. There are also some people playing with kites. At the water, some are playing jetski, motorboats and so on. He suddenly remembered Nani and how they met. He smiled and chuckled everytime he remembers Nani's red face because of anger.

Dew saw a middle-age man selling kites not far from the place he's sitting.

"Excuse me uncle. How much is the kite?", He asked. After choosing the one le likes he took it along with him at the beach.

Suddenly he saw the same kids that were with Nani the other day.

"Hey, Chompoo. P'Nani will come later right? He promised to buy us new a kite.", One of them said.

"Er. He said he will.", The other one replied.

"Nong!", Dew approached them.

"Tep. Isn't that the guy, P'Nani fought with the other day."

"Er."

Dew smiled and show the kite to them. "You two want to play?"

The kids immediately curved a wide smile and nod. They were playing and Dew is the one who's handling the Kite strings. Almost and hour of trying to fly the kite, it never went up in the air.

"P'Dew is so bad at this.", Tep said.

"Ao! You the one who doesn't know how to do your part properly.", Dew replied. Feeling offended.

"No. It's you.", Chompoo said back.

Dew sighed. He couldn't deny that this is his first time flying a kite. "Er! Er! I'm the one who's bad at this."

"Tep. I think I have to go back now. My mother must've been looking for me.", Chompoo said.

"Er. Me too. Let's go back together."

"You guys are going home?", Dew asked.

"Yes, phi. We have to go back now."

"Er. Go back safely na."

"See you again phi."

"Er."

Dew just watched the kids leaving. He then shifted his eyes at the kite while lifting it.

"There must be something wrong with this kite. That's why it couldn't fly.", Dew murmured.

"There's nothing wrong with the kite.", Suddenly someone talked behind him.

"Geez, you scared me!", Dew said and while immediately turning around to see Nani.

Nani lifted his eyebrow seeing Dew's reaction. Dew fake a cough then act cool.

"When did you came.", Dew asked.

Nani smirked before taking a deep breath. "Just now."

Dew just nodded. "Do you want to play?" He asked.

Nani looked at him for a second then shook his head. "No."

"Ao! Come on!"

"No!"

"Nani.", Dew look at him pleading.

Nani rolled his eyes. "Er, er, er! Just this time okay."

Dew smiled to ears showing his dimple again. "Okay."

"Tch. How come a grown up man doesn't know how to fly a kite. How old are you?", Nani complaints.

Nani explained to Dew the first step to fly a kite. Then he goes to another. "You have to know from where the wind comes from. The kite is depending on it. When you see it can fly, try to lose the string to make it higher. Understand?"

"Khrub, Teacher Nani.", Dew replied teasing him. Nani just shook his head then continued explaining.

"Why are you looking at me?", Nani asked when he realized that Dew wasn't paying attention. Frowning.

"Huh? Nothing.", Dew snapped and shifted his eyes to the kite.

Nani shrugged. "You try.", He said. The handler changed to Dew's hand.

"Hey, it's still flying!", Dew said in excitement.

Nani smirked. "Are you that happy? Probably you never play a kite before.", He slightly smiled looking at Dew.

After a while, both of them sat on the sand. The sun was about to set. Nani took a deep breath, feeling the smell of the sea.

"Ahh.. this is good.", Nani said.

"I thought you're a staff here.", Dew suddenly asked.

Nani looked at him for a second. "Not really."

"What do you mean?"

Nani let out a sigh. "Basically, this resort belongs to my grandfather. I was asked to look after it since he's not really well. But you see, P'Mae did the work more than I do. Maybe because she know I'm still not used to the works here. Also, I'm still studying so I don't think I can handle both at the same time."

Despite his busy life as a student, Nani decided to take a week or two leaving his classes behind to look after the resort for a while. But he think it's a good idea since he can relax and enjoy his time there.

"Must be tough for you.", Dew said.

"You think so?", Nani asked. He closed his eyes then took a deep breath. "But I like it here."

Dew smiled. "I can see that. You must've came here alot."

"Um. When I was little, I came here alot. I always listen to my grandfather's story how he met my grandmother here and how he ended up build this resort."

Nani chuckled as he remember the story of how his grandfather met his grandmother who's from the village nearby. Just because his grandfather fell in love and wanted to see her everyday, he decided to build the resort as an excuse to come often at the place.

When Nani was still a kid, he always wanted to have a love story like his grandfather did. That's why he always come to that place. Wishing he will meet someone he'll like at the beach.

"But as I grew up, I couldn't come often since I have to go to school and everything.", Nani continued. "I'm glad I can come back here for a while even I'm not that much of help. Hahaha."

"You're doing great."

Nani shifted his gaze to the guy who's much taller than him. Dew curved a smile as their eyes met. Nani smiled back.

"So... Why are you here? Why come alone?", Nani asked, changing the topics.

Dew throw his sight to the sea infront of them. "Just because.", He signed. "Something that not really good happened to me so my friend told me to come here to relax."

"What happened?"

"I br...", He paused. "Er, forget it. It's nothing."

Nani saw a slight changes on Dew's expression. He thought, it must be something wasn't comfortable for Dew to share, so he didn't ask further.

Both of them went silence. Casting their gaze towards the sea, watching the sun setting.
